I really love the elite 2, but it’s literally junk. It falls apart after about a year or so. I’m on my second one. First one the rubber grips completely removed themselves from the controller and the stick drift starts to get noticeable after just a few months, you can kinda fix it by tightening up the tension on the sticks. But it doesn’t completely resolve it. I’m on my second controller and I’m here because I’m looking for a third one. Likely not choosing elite 2 again. Stick drift is getting unbearable, but I think they’ve done something to the rubber grips, they’re holding up better this time. I have 1 small spot on each side where the rubber is coming undone.
Same here. The left bumper was finicky out the box. The grip started bubbling and peeling so I bought replacement and they peel the same way. Now the back is peeling off. It’s like a Ferrari that breaks easily. I’m thinking of shelling out the $200 plus for scuf but I really like the elite 2
mannnn a year sounds good.. I’ve ran through like 4 Victrix gambits.. so good out of box but such junk within 1-2 months.. I just keep returning it and getting a new one.
I bought a Scuf Instinct Pro in June of 2022. Five months later, one of the four underside paddles (Scuf calls it Paddle 4) cracked at the narrowest point five months later. I sent it in for repair, which they did and returned in a little under two weeks free of charge. It broke again in the same spot under a year later, followed by the other underside paddle on the opposite side cracking in the exact same place a month or two after that. It's an obvious and frustrating design flaw. Miraculously, using 3/16" wide strips of packing tape (that 2" wide stuff used to tape boxes) that I cut with scissors and strategically placed, worked to fix the problem. The paddles are still cracked, but you can't even tell while playing. It's now August of 2024, and I've been experiencing increasing stick drift on the left thumbstick to the point the controller is practically unusable. I've sent it in for repair, but I expect I'll have to pay this time. One VERY important note. I game A LOT. I've put many 100s of hours into this controller. The stick drift is to be expected, and I have no complaints. In fact, I'm impressed it lasted this long. The paddle cracking on the other hand is my only real complaint, but as I mentioned, the tape totally fixed it. This may sound nuts, but I still like this controller so much, that I seriously considered just buying a new one. I hope the design flaw mentioned in the video that Scuf allegedly fixed is the paddle cracking issue I'm experiencing.
I've had 2 series x elite controllers and both fell to pieces within a year. Glue coming off grips, button failure, and stick drift. Don't waste your money.
Which of these has good Bumper tension? I have an elite but the button barely works now after year. I play a lot of Destiny and Smite, as both games heavily rely on bumper flexing. Just by this list would the Turtle beach function as the best?
Same issue. I use my elite controller for elden ring and overwatch and it’s getting to a point i have to use so much force to get the dang bumper to register my input😔
Coming from a Xbox Wolverine ultimate but I play on PC .. buttons are failing bad now . Would anyone have advice for my next purchase . Thanks in advance

ASTRO C40 controller, I’ve had 3 elite 2 controllers, 1 elite 1, and it’s genuinely the best contrôler I’ve had, the only downside for me is that it has 2 paddles, other than that the durability is amazing and if you ever have stick drift the stick modules are completely replaceable, and you can buy replacements for like 10-15 USD, to get rid of stick drift
If we could only get true wireless 3rd party premium controllers with back paddles for the xbox console that would be sweet. The only true wireless with Back paddles i know of is the SCUF Pro Instinct/Turtle but for that price and lack of customization the Elite 2 s still a better and cheaper option *IMO*
Well then, lets just say its not a CANADIAN list because i live in the STATES and was able to get one - lol. I'm sure if you wanted one bad enuff you can find a place that ships to you.
Just had to return my elite 2 because of this. I'd be pressing A or Y and every 1 in 10 presses would not register any input. Had the controller for 3 weeks and the problem started. By contrast, my first elite controller still works fine in terms of inputs, though the RB keeps breaking and requiring changing, which is why I wanted the upgrade. Really expected more from the Elite 2.
i like the controller but i’m not buying it ever again. when it’s new it works perfectly for me. these piece of junk parts they use are so bad that EVERY elite controller i’ve ever used gets a broken LB and RB button, gets stick drift, and the rubber peals off. i take care of my controller and i got it replaced under warranty but im never getting another one

I did not realize that until after the fact, and should have mentioned it in the video - so that's on me - and my apologies for any confusion.
It seems, based on some of the comments and my own personal experiences, that the left bumpers are a problem for series 2's, I've had two of them and the left bumper now only works about 50% of the time on both and on top of that, the rubber on both was tearing and falling off. This was after about a year of ownership on both. I've also had a Scuf, and it was trash. Had a glitch in it where if I hit the Xbox home button once, it would constantly open and close the Xbox guide until it either died or I turned off the Xbox and the back button was getting stuck after about a week of having it. Granted this was a couple years ago and I had the Scuf Prestige and now I think they are discontinued, I'm not sure about the Instinct/Instinct Pro, it may be better. *Note* I take very good care of my controllers, I clean and dust them regularly and I refuse to eat while gaming, and am generally not very rough on them, so this is not a contributing factor to the controllers' faults.
Astro C40 controller, you can completely replace the stick modules so easily, and can buy replacements online for around 10-15 USD to completely eliminate stick drift

As I know I don’t think Xbox controllers were designed for that manner. You’re given the ability to change some options within the settings but that’s it. If you want to customize your controller or joystick settings you might have to get a Logitech controller or programmable controller. Hope this helps.
