Oh, my, this reminds of being a child at my grandmother's during the winter. Her house had a fireplace in the dining/kitchen area and one heater in the living room, the rest of the house was unheated. In the winter the kitchen area was so cozy and when someone would come in from outside the cold would pour in for a minute, the contrast was wonderful. The grown-ups would sit around the table and talk and we kids would play on the hearth. Brings tears to my eyes, she had a grandfather clock also, love that sound! Thank you for posting this!
Reminds of the fireplace in The Duke of York pub in Iddesleigh, Devon.......it was just like this... I doubt whether it is now.......Back in the 70's/80's the DOY was a totally unspoilt tavern full of locals and true characters.......happy days...gone forever....
Thank you for sharing this memory with me, Blair. You've made me wish that I could visit The Duke of York as you knew it and chat with some of the characters. Those happy days may be gone but can still be remembered.
I love this and the Victorian Kitchen at night are my favorites. I don't sleep much and I love to read in the wee hours of the morning. These ASMRs are the perfect relaxing backdrop to a good book. I come back to these time and again. Thank you so much.
I absolutely love the whispers. Reminds me of when I’d teeter at the edge of sleep as a child, and adults having conversations in whispers so they wouldn’t wake me up.
OP, you have truly created something beautiful: The crackling fire, the sliding slippers, the hushed whispers. Among the best ambiance I've come acrossed.
The audio sounds authentic, reminds me of when I was little and we had a wood stove, the house would be quiet, everyone sleeping and the only sounds were the clock and the fire going.
Love the clock! This is exactly what I want my home to sound like, a fire and a grandfather clock. Someday ... For now, I'll have to just rely on this video. This is my favourite channel to relax to. Thank you so much!
I don't think I've seen more complaining about an Ambience video such as this and in particular about the whispering. Keep in mind folks that there are literally hundreds and hundreds of different kinds of Ambience videos like this to choose from. Not everything is tailor-made for you or me. I'm glad to see that most people here didn't mind the spooky whispering which I found to be welcomed surprising inventive creative and interesting touch to this wonderful video here.
I'm happy to hear that -- so glad I could make something that works well for you. I'm not usually a fan of ticking clocks, but this particular clock has a special sound, I think. I found myself nodding off while making the video. :)
Another lovely one! I spent a few hours listening to the medieval feast with music, which I loved, and now I'm ready for something quieter this afternoon. I enjoy the whisperings and murmurs; they remind me of my childhood with my sisters when we slept on pallets made of blankets on the floor at my grandmother's house and whispered together long after we were supposed to be asleep--and then my own daughters, who are now in college, doing the same when they were small. So cozy!
The memories you've shared here are so heartwarming; thank you so much for opening them so generously to me. Whispered conversations at night hold a special kind of beauty for me, too. It makes me smile to think of generations of sisters in hushed, happy conversation well after bedtime. :)
I'm not at all sure why people are scared of the whispers. To me it just sounds like a couple people gossiping or something but trying to stay quiet because someone's asleep, maybe a kid. 🤷 I actually really like it.
they're ok once you realise they're there, but since I am alone in the house and they suddenly came on it is a bit of a shock before you adjust to what's going on
Just love this I get the feeling it’s Irish ☘️ or Welsh farmhouse people who are hard working for very little but they are happy 😃 to sit by the fire 🔥 and talk about there day. The warmth and peace is what we all need. Could Stay by that fire for ever a howling wind 💨 would make it more comfortable and cosy but that’s just me

Wow, your descriptions of the sounds are so prodigious. It shows you put forth effort into each thought and how rich the English language is. Hats off!
I love this video!! It makes me feel I'm right there sitting in the chair staring at the fire. And no commercials is so awesome. Thank you. Good night 😪
This alone can cure my homesickness for London. The atmosphere of the Dennis Severs House is almost impossible to give back on screen, but this has mastered it. I tend to come back for this video again and again, because this is so soulfully made I cannot really express. Those who have been to the Dennis Severs House, will understand this. Thank you dear Ambience, again and again

It was the month of November again, and the world outside had begun to turn a delicate shade of grey, as leaves fell off, to be replaced by the gentle wind that blew through them. As a girl, Mrs. Baker had always loved the gradual approach of winter, for she remembered her days as a young lass, playing about in the grounds with the soft snowflakes creating a white tiara on her head. As she sat knitting by the fireside, she smiled at the memories which the season always brought upon. The sudden bubbling of the kettle brought her back to the present and alerted her to the fact that it was almost time to start making the camomile tea which her grandchildren loved so much.
This reminds me of the kitchen hearth area on a BBC TV show that was called Lark Rise to Candleford. It looks like it just came right off of a BBC sound stage. Great work.
Yes, I have watched every episode of Lark Rise to Candleford! For some time, I tried to figure out a way to use the actual set design in one of my videos (and was unsuccessful), so it delights me that you think I've come close with this one. Thank you so much, Sharon.
Thank you so much! It has been a challenge for me to find good foundations for nighttime scenes (museums, historical houses, etc. tend to be inaccessible at night), but I finally found this setting and one more (a Christmas parlour at night) that I hope to share later this month.

What a fabulous video! It brings about such a comfortable feeling. The background sounds are not too loud and the colors are so rich and vibrant. This is one of my favorite videos now. Well done!
Just found you😗 Absolutely Beautiful. Makes me long for a simpler time😔 I set this last night on the TV with the timer and fell asleep to it.😴 Look forward to falling asleep to the rest of them. Thanks for tucking me in😍😉

I am impressed if you can work with this in the background; I find myself unintentionally dozing off. :) And it's an honor for me to think that I can make your dark evenings a bit more bright and cozy. Which fireside chair would you like to be yours? I'll bring you a blanket and some tea. :)
Very beautiful ambience! Love it to relax or sleep. I've tried to study on it, but the whispers seem too close, so I keep getting distracted just like those days before quarantine, in the library, when the people in the table behind me started talking 🤣 Nice throwback, I miss that as I don't know when l'll be able to meet my library companions again.

The hope of offering others something useful or enriching, even in such a tiny way as this, is the only reason my channel exists, so it means a lot to me to know when this hope has been fulfilled.
great one , thank you! the only problem with the hushed whispers is I got a mini heart attack when they first came on :D I already got used to the crackling fire and the ticking of the clock and it just faded into pleasant background, but since I'm on my own here, someone suddenly whispering freaked me out for a bit! thank goodness I don't believe in ghosts

this video has been my go to all week, i love it so much (as well as many other videos on your channel) 💗 at first i was unsure about how i felt about the quiet voice but it turns out the inaudible whispers have actually become my favourite element of the ambience, i find it so relaxing and tingly. thank you for creating this, it's been very comforting to put on while i write in my journal
Honestly I've listened to this so many times while studying I can almost know what the whispers are saying and im like "ya ya EXACTLY so you know" "yeeeeesssss" "no no" "yes yes yes yes yes" "oh ya" "exactly" they just agree to much like get arguments in the convo girls
I AM MESMORIZED. MY MAMA, PAPA AND MY AUNT HAD THESES STOVES IN THEIR HOMES WHEN I WAS QUITE YOUNG. THE SCENE N SOUNDS R FROM MY CHILDHOOD. HOW WONDERFUL TO SEE AND HEAR AGAIN. MANY , MANY THANKS. SUCH BEAUTIFUL WORK . .
Many, many thanks to **you** for sharing this precious memory from your childhood; you've warmed my heart. I am so happy that my video can rekindle those sights, sounds, and experiences for you.
I saw this lovely scene and thought it was perfect, then read there was a story of whispering girls and was afraid. I simply hate these whispers of people in ASMR, I see I am not the only one. Maybe a logo "Whispers Free" should be created. The reste of this one, especially the clock , is cool.
There are many many Ambience videos to choose from. Not everyone is going to be to your liking or to mine. Each one of them is different and you are free to choose as you will. I happen to love the whispering here.
This might be my favorite of yours so far. The sounds are perfect - warm, bright and cozy without an ounce of artificiality that most ambience videos have. I find the clock really soothing as well, which is funny since I normally dislike clock noises ^_^ I heard the wind and actually felt chilly before I realized it was all from the video. Sometimes voices or suggestions of other people's presences can weird me out, if done improperly, but they really populate this scene. I like ambience videos that feel a little less lonely :)
the whispers freaked me out for a second haha
I'm glad it was only a second! :)
I had this video playing and someone else told me they heard whispering. Could anyone make it out? I thought it was wind

at first I was surprised and kinda scared of the whispers but then I was looking forward to when they would come again because I like asmr with whispers hahaha but I'm listening to this on day time so I don't know how I would react if I was almost asleep lol
thank you for the amazing work
Love the sound of fireplace 😌💓🔥
Wow! I just love this! I was trying to get comfy while reading a vintage murder mystery and this video provided the perfect "atmosphere". Thank you 🙏
I love this! please don't stop making these lovely videos. subscribed! ♥
You're so kind; thank you so much. And it is my honor to welcome you as a new subscriber. :)
I liked the whispers - you can pretend you’re sitting around with family
very very beautiful ! thanks
this video has been my go to all week, i love it so much (as well as many other videos on your channel) 💗 at first i was unsure about how i felt about the quiet voice but it turns out the inaudible whispers have actually become my favourite element of the ambience, i find it so relaxing and tingly. thank you for creating this, it's been very comforting to put on while i write in my journal
This is lovely! I feel like I am right there...
humble but excellent. It makes me feel good.
You'd get a sore arse sitting in those chairs for 5 hours! Great ASMR tho :)
Could have done without the whispers. The voices in my head are enough. Everything is awesome though.
Oof
I saw this lovely scene and thought it was perfect, then read there was a story of whispering girls and was afraid. I simply hate these whispers of people in ASMR, I see I am not the only one. Maybe a logo "Whispers Free" should be created. The reste of this one, especially the clock , is cool.
There are many many Ambience videos to choose from. Not everyone is going to be to your liking or to mine. Each one of them is different and you are free to choose as you will. I happen to love the whispering here.
And the Orbs.......Is this a haunting , a dream perhaps? As long as the chairs don't start moving on their own , i'm ok with it.
Damn, straight!
I absolutely love this! Saved to favourites and subscribed. Thank you 😊
Thank you so much! And I welcome you warmly as a new subscriber; it's an honor to have you.
Вот это то что я искал более пяти лет! Очень душевно!
peaceful, but ima head back over to the tavern, friday night 😊🤘🏻, don't wait up 😁
I love this! It helps me write - thank you for sharing!!! :)
How beautiful.. I wish I lived here:)
Lovely and Cosy ❤️
