I wouldn't normally have screen time right before bed, but as I tucked her into her cozy bed and switched off the lamp, I couldn't help but open up this gorgeous ambience on my phone with it's dimmest setting, and I told her we could imagine we were snuggling next to the fire.

It was a long time ago, in the early 70s.....our house was freezing in the winter, the fireplace was the only heat, other than the radiators in each room, which were useless unless you put your hands on them to stay warm....and even those we could only run for a few hours before bed....so you take a hot water bottle with you and put it on your feet under the covers....only way to stay warm in England....

As a cellist, I love the sheet music and piano in the nook. That would be the perfect place to practice some beautiful Chopin nocturnes for hours undisturbed, then have a glass of wine by the fire. And unlike some similar videos, this room’s truly cozy.. not a tad creepy or too dark. Nice

I prefer videos with this type of atmosphere and feeling , with just sounds of authentic snow falling and/ or fireplace sounds that have the authentic sound like this, without anything ruining the content such as loud whistling distorted howling noise.. it’s hard to find a video that embodies all the elements of lovely image, that sort of bluefin Nostalgic ambience and authentic / nice sounds of snow/ fireplace.. Also the lighting in this is perfect too and many channels fail to have all those components! This is lovely. I’ve enjoyed it many times and glad to see it again. Take care!! When I ran across this video, it was the perfect background I've been searching for to help my mind relax & to get the sleep I need. I love the beautiful fringed tiered curtain top (for the lack of the proper term) above the fireplace. I just realized it fits the perfect detail I've been trying to come up with for the rounded archways as you enter my front door. Thank you for the attention to details you give in every video. My favorite videos are the Victorian style places. I hope you can continue creating this style of videos as I love them and I will be your biggest fan. Why do we have a love of Christmas past. At 70 I have a reason I’m not quite as old as Victorian but as a child those Christmas,s were the best a crackling coal fire simple toys an orange or apple in our stockings which were a treat to us. Mass on. Christmas morning carols snow family I was lucky that’s why I absolutely love Christmas. But I’ve noticed people are wanting what I had or even later Dickens I no it’s all romanticism rose coulored glasses but it’s an escape so enjoy your Christmas love you all ☃️❄️✝️✝️✝️💟💟💟

This is very similar to the layout of my living room, except I have a window on the right side. I’m lying on my couch looking into my own fireplace right now, but it’s fueled by natural gas.

Why do we have a love of Christmas past. At 70 I have a reason I’m not quite as old as Victorian but as a child those Christmas,s were the best a crackling coal fire simple toys an orange or apple in our stockings which were a treat to us. Mass on. Christmas morning carols snow family I was lucky that’s why I absolutely love Christmas. But I’ve noticed people are wanting what I had or even later Dickens I no it’s all romanticism rose coulored glasses but it’s an escape so enjoy your Christmas love you all ☃️❄️✝️✝️✝️💟💟💟
