Bottom line, it's about entertainment. Fight fans want excitement. That's the quality that Matias brings to the table. Promoting a Matias championship fight at MSG in my opinion would be a sellout and PPV buys would without a doubt, top the poultry 50,000 buys generated by the Haney vs Prograis fight. This man's attitude is exactly what is needed by ALL title holders in boxing. Haney and Lopez need to fight him or each other, if they each believe they're the best.
His style is so unorthodox and not easily read, and he's so tough and relentless. Imo he's beating up Teofimo and I'd love to see if Haney could box slickly and avoid the pressure and awkwardness for 12 rounds, or if his fight plan would go out the window and he'd end up unable to hit and move and get repeatedly backed onto the ropes eating leather.
