Can’t believe the judges had it even close. Had Bivol winning by a wide margin.
We're lucky judges didnt give Canyellow a 12 round sweep.

Canelo was already flustered by the 3rd round because Bivol was not fooled by his feints. Canelo could not penetrate his guard and Bivol would just wait and riddle him with counter shots. He had absolutely no fear. A masterclass of great technical boxing.

He thought Bivol would be easier and thought he would get a pass and the public will accept it because he moved up but no…we still remember why he made this move. He did the same thing to fight an old Kovalev who didn’t even have a proper training camp and didn’t have time to recover fully from his fight with Yarde…a fight where he was almost knocked out NOT TOO LONG before. He was insisting on fighting him right after this gruelling fight on a very short notice. He gave him only a couple of weeks to prepare with a rehydration clause. The crazy thing is Canelo still looked bad in that fight under those conditions and was losing and getting outboxed with weak 1-2 the entire fight up until the knockout. Canelo been doing this…his entire career smh. Real ones know how he maneuver smh

Judges scorecards were wonky this fight. Bivol won easily and it wasn’t close.

Canelo couldn't adjust. He just had that attitude of like "eehh what the heck, let me just try to look good while i lose." I don't think he had that mentality of saying "oh wow bivol is actually better than I thought, let me make adjustments and try to pull it off." Canelo just chose to look nonchalant in defeat because he just didn't know how else to respond. That just showed me that he should not be considered an elite fighter because an elite fighter would have the sense of urgency in trying to turn the fight around even if he still looked uncomfortable doing so. He had no sense of urgency in trying to turn the fight around.

Both bivol and madrimov were champions of their respective divisions, and Madrimov was Bivols main sparring partner in preparation for the Canelo fight so you discrediting him is illogical. And canelo got dominated by bivol whereas Crawford won a close decision. Madrimov and bivol are both very good fighters that mainstream media didn’t know of which is why both were sizeable underdogs.

Watching this fight closely another time, Bivol’s guard was impenetrable and even Canelo showed some great defensive skill but his punches weren’t enough to hurt Bivol. Canelo’s judge of range is incredible with how much he was dropping his hands until he had no choice but to put up his guard. He was more fatigued in this fight than any other.

Bivol never once went for a stoppage. Disappointing. Still enough to. eat canelo, obviously. Whenever Saul meets an even remotely talented boxer he just doesnt know what to do. No jab. Looping shots, just burning himself out.
If Saul had a jab this fight would’ve been closer.
A rematch would be a lot closer imo. Look at round 9. Canelo is completely gassed but still has enough to combine pressure and defensive head movement to steal the round.
Dmitry was taking a round off and let Canelo punch more to drain him because he saw Canelo could still move well dodging punches. That's the reason Dmitry was just sitting on the rope for Canelo to punch for a while. After that round, Dmitry got Canelo where he needed to be dominated not just in long range but also close range fight - which is supposed to be Canelo's domain. Dmitry beat Canelo in every aspect of boxing to remove any doubt that he's a better boxer.
