First - your hair is beyond gorgeous in this video! Love the cut, style, and color! Second - this video brings back the happy memories from elementary school when we were required to wrap our books. I remember some people used contact paper to cover the brown paper after they were done decorating. The contact paper helped to preserve the decorations and make the brown paper more durable (especially at edges and corners).
Aubrey Merton - thanks so much! I just had my second session in the process to make my hair look like this a couple weeks ago!! It looked fantastic after the first session ( a few months ago), but now it's exactly how I wanted it! I'm really loving it too!!
The contact paper is an excellent suggestion! I actually used it in my tie die book covers video last year! I also remember some people in school covering their books in just contact paper. I wish I would have mentioned it in this video, but I also wanted to keep it as short as possible... people can get creative--like you--all on their own!! Thanks for the lovely comment! Sliding the book cover into the folded pieces?! That is so neat. And maybe, instead of using scotch tape (hoping nobody sees it ;), you could use duck-tape or washi-tape and make a border? For example, if the primary color of your decor is white and the secondary is light blue, you can use white paper for the cover and some light blue tape to accent it. Just some ideas, but I’m definitely going to do this to some of my notebooks.
Rachael Shields - I like using just the tiny piece if it's a book that I'll be removing the cover from later just so that the inside or edge of the cover doesn't get ruined from pulling something like duck tape off, but this is a very great suggestion!!
