    I loved seeing this - all of it... your fields of flowers are spectacular! It is so helpful to see your process, pricing, and perspective on which types of flowers to include and confidence in when to stop adding more... (when is enough)...I often add too many. Blessings!

    FINALLY !!!!! A honest truly demonstration of how to put a market boquet together. Thank you so much for this video it was exactly what I was looking for ❤. I want a backyard garden Not a flower farm. I just want to make boquet for myself and a few neighbors . This video showed me what a beautiful boquet I can make with just a few different flowers type ( could plant 4 different flowers),how many stems and the tip about the odd number .😁 Now to order my seeds for next season

    I know this may sound strange, I had no idea Marigolds were fragrant. When I smell them, I don't smell anything. I'm wondering if it's because the ones I'm smelling are the small (dwarf) Marigolds.

  • @vivherman2296
    @vivherman2296 ปีที่แล้ว

    I love your farm. I don't mind the smell of marigolds, and they remind me of my dad. He always had marigolds around his mailbox. The weather/drought last yr. made me scale back..as I lost most of my lissies and others. I found the customers were just as happy with what I had on hand. I see other comments below about pricing. I'm in the same boat . They would not pay what I want to charge..so, I try to go for quantity. Try to make more large bouq. at my higher price, and less small ones nowadays. Might sound unfair...I've tried different ranges in pricing, and here..they will usually buy the small ones first. I do make a few..but I'll stick to making large ones this yr.

    Good for you 😅in your area. Because even here in central jersey close to NY around 1 hour they won’t pay that. It’s a struggle 😢my bouquet have Lisisanthus on them and so on still people don’t want $15-$20 dollars 💵

      Customers don't understand why Lizzy is valuable. I'm learning that my customers really don't care about the high value flowers. They just want it to be colorful and pretty. They're perfectly happy with sunflowers and zinnias.

    I just looked this video again and was wondering about prices once more. I love your bouquets and they are completely worth the 25$, but I don't understand how and when prices fell so horribly here in denmark. Last week I tried to sell bouquets with 18 stems for 16€ (what is about the same number in $) and didn't sell one bouquet on our farmers market. It all were mixed bouquets with fresh tulips (also parrots and frayed sorts) and daffodils plus some greenery like apple blossoms, but here everyone is used to the typical supermarket programm, grown somewhere else and shipped through (at least) half europe. And they are also sold at prices like at the supermarket: 9-10 stems for 6-7€. No local grower can provide these prices and so our so called "farmers market" is a market of traders selling with market flair. Also our organic approach seems to be completely uninteresting. I am so sad and looking for a new market for my products. Has anyone an idea for me?

    I can't stand the smell of marigolds! After stripping the leaves off I also can't stand how the smell lingers on my hands. So they are off my list for next year. The only reason I might grow a few at the end of my rows is to keep the critters away.

      From the moment they start seeds, flower farmers are tied down at their farm. They can't leave not even for one day. And it is incredibly costly to get all the supplies to grow beautiful specialty flowers like these especially nowadays. If anything we're underpaying them for these beauties in my opinion.

    • @NicolesGardenNS
      @NicolesGardenNS ปีที่แล้ว +3

      No, I think you are right but it depends on the local market and other flower growers/florists in the area. Her bouquets are gorgeous, but I make my 20$ market bouquets bigger than that.

  • @francesscocchera6747

    Zinnia flowers are very cheap to grow I am really shocked at the few flowers that you put in your bouquets and sell them for $25

    • @PepperHarrow
      @PepperHarrow  ปีที่แล้ว

      So much work goes into growing them. Seed costs, labor to weed them, water, labor to harvest. If you have an example bouq you’d sell at $25, please share with us!
