    I love the way you added light coloured dots along the horizon in the sky at 12:23. It looks like lights shining on a far shore. It takes me back - I’ve seen it 1000 times when I used to live on a lake.

    Have you ever tried a gel press? You can do mono printing but the plate is reusable and it creates great texture. Although I love that you can do mono printing without a press! How you made indentations was really interesting, not something you can do with a press so this was really cool

      @csartstudio  3 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      Thank you, I did gel press.
      But I prefer the way to make thick textured.
      This channel introduces techniques that anyone starting with simple materials can do.

    What thickness of foam board is recommended? I assume because of some of the gouge marks that 2mm would be too thin? Do you recommend 6mm or what ? Thank you.

    Hi Beautiful work. Do you let the ink dry between applications? In the video you appear to just keep applying layers of ink which makes it a lot faster to complete the prints. Thank you.

    • @ReviewsAndMore9
      @ReviewsAndMore9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When the ink applied is a really thin layer, like he’s doing, it dries almost immediately.

      Acric paint dries quickly and has a slightly different texture, but you can also use acric paint.

    Loved the way the prints came out.
    What is your subsurface when you’re brayering the paint? At first I thought it was a big Gelli plate, but could it be a pane of glass?

    • @minnahumble2294
      @minnahumble2294 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If it is a gel print plate, what size is it.? Thanks for sharing your process. I can’t wait to play with these materials. I will use acrylic paint.

      At one point he bumps the rollout plate and it moves as if it is quite light, so I think it is plexiglass.

    Love this! Where do you get the thick foam? Thanks.

    • @janetstrickler3289
      @janetstrickler3289 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think that is just regular foam-core board. Some marks are indenting the surface, many are breaking into the paper layer, (you can tell partly by the rough edges) and in another video, sometimes sections of the paper surface are being torn and peeled away to add more texture. Good use of a very common material!

    Hi! What kind of foam are you using for this technique?

    • @ReviewsAndMore9
      @ReviewsAndMore9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Looks like regular foam core used by framers. About 1/4” thick, smooth surface and very light weight.
