Reading & Northern 2102: Iron Horse Rambles to Jim Thorpe

- Over Memorial Day weekend, we set out again to the Reading Blue Mountain & Northern to chase their famous 4-8-4 ex-Reading T-1 #2102 as she hauled her first "Iron Horse Rambles" excursion of the year. This excursion is also significant because this is the only "Iron Horse Rambles" excursion to traverse the traditional Reading - Jim Thorpe route with which the famous "T-Hog" has become very familiar. Join us as we catch the Loudest Operational Steam Locomotive operating over the steep grades of the Road of Anthracite.

Awesome chase! I was on the train that day - I'm the guy wearing the engineer's hat hanging out the window of Car 216 (third coach behind the generator car) coming out of Port Clinton.

Yes. A large portion of the Reading & Northern’s mainline is ex-Reading trackage.
ove that big Reading Whistle, that little squeller sucks!
Although I do prefer the 6 Chime, I do like the Hooter since it is authentic to the 2102.
