It depends on your skill and cube. If you have good f2l skills but your cube turns like crap. Changing can lower your time. But if you are good on a good cube, no change will make you better cuz that’s your skill.
I think the person meant that switching from your decent cube to the last Gan that just came out won’t improve your times directly. Of course using an old cube vs your Gan would have differing results.
point number 3 really applies to me. I introduced a friend into speed cubing and he improved soooo much faster than me its ridiculous. he has been cubing for 1 month and is almost sub 20 but to keep myself not being jealous I just tell myself, "it's because I'm such a good teacher."
Lol I am that friend and it is most definitely because my friend who taught me is so good at teaching. Not that I'm sub 20 I'm just improving really fasrw
well actually i've been cubing for at least 3 months and my average is around 14 seconds and my friend has been cubing for maybe a year now and his average is around 9 seconds so it is kinda okay for me
"Don't compare yourself with other people" is so true. I'm not a part of the larger cubing community, but I definitely experienced this while taking voice and piano lessons in uni. I'd get a little frustrated that they could sing and play so well, ignoring my own progress because I didn't have a great voice or robust playing style. Thank goodness nobody else in my family solves cubes, I'll always be the best cuber in my family. :P
what about full ZB? ZB method is when you use ZBLS to always get a cross on top when you solve your last F2L pair and then use ZBLL to solve the cube. a lot harder to learn that CFOP, I must say

That third one applies to me so much, I have been cubing for two years and I met someone who had only been cubing for 4 - 5 months and they learnt full pll before me even tho they still solve with daisy. I have sub 30 average ( best solve 19.06 +2 ) and they have sub 50 average It’s like I have a rival and I love it 😍

My old main broke so i practiced on a v cube 3 pillowed its smooth but actually not a great speed cube its a slightly improved rubiks brand. I started with 2x2 and was naturally color neutral and I'm grateful that i wasnt only using white and yellow because it made being color neutral on 3x3 easier

2:50 I'm experiencing this with soccer, I'm trying to teach my 7 year old brother but then he always gets upset when I do something he cant do, I have years of experience and I'm far older than him he expects himself to be as good as me in two weeks of practice, the best thing I have to combat that is to tell him hes better than alot of kids his age but it still doesn't work sometimes.
