Great to see you at Budock Vean again. The 5th is also my nemesis. If your drive ends up on the right you have a tough corner to get round. Usually 2 or more hits for me. 6th is a challenge because it's very narrow and further than you think. With the ninth I now usually hit the green. I take a 9 and smash it. You have to be very confident on this one. Play right through and the ball goes sky high, then drops onto the green. I'll show you next time you come down if you like. I'd happily play in a comp if you organise one.
I think with the 9th you are right, it’s all about confidence however I have heard stories of smashed swimming pool roof etc lol
@@BIGOGGIEGOLF I saw a couple of lads get on the green with pitching wedges. Mind you, they didn't half hit the ball. Oh to be young and care free again!!
Well played oggie I was there that day and no you never got in our way you let us through 0n the 7th thanks .I have been struggling with the 5th hole as well lately and I play it every week its not stroke 1 for nothing . It was nice to meet you that day keep the videos coming mate and thanks for the nice comments about Budock vean .

I think that’s the key David. It’s all about trusting what I have been told and then trusting to do it myself. Plus accepting that it’s not always going to work straight away.

Looks like a good course John. Although tight it seems difficult to actually lose the ball which is good. Looks much easier than your old West Cornwall course where if you miss the fairway by even a fraction it is a reload job!
Oh believe me you can lose a ball here and there are outs of bounds too. A very different course though from west Cornwall links x

Hi there My friend and thank k you for your kindness. I think last year, certainly after my charity day things got on top of me somewhat. But now I am more relaxed and although still working non stop to make the channel a success, I am more happy with the way I am playing and less pressured about things.

Lovely video Oggie, can't be easy trying to play and set up the camera for good shots so well done. Have to say you were on fire of the tees that day, swinging well and hitting the ball cleanly. Beautiful venue for a little competition as well.
It’s a challenge my friend but I love doing it. Can’t do it again like that for a while as my main camera is being fixed right now as the screen is broke lol.
As for the game I think that’s one of my best days ever. I wish it would happen more often x
@@BIGOGGIEGOLF It's a constant challenge John but having days like that is the reason we keep going back to the course. Can't wait for the weather to improve and warm up a bit. Having a lesson myself next week so fingers crossed it goes well.

I haven't seen your swing in several months. It's much improved, Dan done a great job. The only reason you're hitting it left is coz you move your head and shoulders in that direction first on the downswing. Probably coz you're trying to hit it hard.
Your putting and chipping need serious work though.
My putting is the best part of my game actually but yes I appreciate that there is still a whole lot of work to be done across my game.

I know it's hard if your videoing, Just stop for 10 seconds before you putt. Many strokes to be made.
I know I rush sometimes my friend. But you understand the pressure of filming x
Maybe walk the course next time. Give yourself time between shots and a work out. GUARANTEED to improve your game.
Ah if only I had time to walk a course and film all on the same day.
