Joshua Hickey ok so basically the black thing is sand paper, it’s very cheap or if you have a skateboard you can use the grip tape from that, but sandpaper would work better. The reason it’s being rubbed against each other is so that the steel breaks away and you are left with just the steel plate. Hope I helped, if you have any more questions please feel free to ask!

I love the Pepsi version the best, except may I offer some constructive criticism? Being that its made from soft aluminum I think adding 2 maybe even 3 layers of the bottom of the cans would add strength to your design by sandwiching a layer of 2 part epoxy between each additional bottom of a can you add then filling that void level with epoxy adding your clips pins into that b4 it dries & hardens, it looks great as a key chain but as it is now I think adding swinging keys would only damage And scratch your design, I think if you use it to be looked at only, it will out last its life as a key chain. Otherwise I love the thought that went into this piece. 😜👍
