I thought caulking, spackle and paint was how to get that pudding look but I wasn't sure. I'm in some Facebook fake bake craft groups but many of those people sell the things they make (I just make things for myself) and some get super defensive if you ask how they are made. So thank you so much for sharing.
I'm always happy to share. I ask on my community tab here on TH-cam what you guys want to see. Feel free to let me know there any fake bakes you'd like to see.
@@CassieSmallwood Thank you so so much for showing us your how to, I am from Australia and it is not a common craft here and those who do it do it to sell and do get a little annoyed if you ask, rightly so as this is their business, once again thank you so much🌞⚘⚘
Thanks for stopping by, JoAnn! I've been watching your channel since before I was a TH-camr. I love how adorable all of your projects are and your fun personality. Have a wonderful day!
Cassie, I am so excited that I found your video. Our pastor’s wife is known for her banana pudding and I have been searching to find out to make a fake banana pudding as a special gift to her. You made it look so easy, we’ll see, lol. This has made my day!
Really like this video. Hopefully going to try making the molds as I wasn't sure what to use. thanks. I made the jam and toast and it turned out great. Thank you so much.
This is so amazing, thank you. I tried this and the jars came out awesome. The only issue I have is that the bottom layer has never dried and it's been over 1 month. The top layer is hard, but the bottom is still pudding like. Any suggestions? 😊
In the future let it dry in layers to avoid that. It will eventually get moldy if it doesn't dry 🤢 In very small containers you may not need to dry in layers.
I made some of these using small glass yogurt containers. I decided that because they are so small that I didn't need to do the toilet paper roll thing. It made it so much easier. I made my nilla wafers out of magic model clay. The finished pieces look soooooo cute! Thank you so much for this tutorial.
I would wait a few days at least. If you press on it a little and can feel a give like it's squishy underneath, give it some more time. I put a fan on mine to speed up the process.
Watching your tutorial for the first time you’re very explanatory you take your time in explaining to the viewers I have one question since you make molds can you make a banana, ice cream cone, mold, from silicone and cornstarch? Watching from Canada 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
I think the ice cream cone might break because you have to press it down with a good amount of pressure. There is a liquid silicone for making molds that would work better for that but there are also easier ways to make ice cream cones without a mold.

What a great video. LOVE that you teach DETAILS❤️ Such an awesome idea to mix caulk with Spackle to make less like whipped cream, SMART!! Always LOVE your videos. Thank you😊❤️cat xxx
Have you had a mold problem with that much wet product and hardly any ventilation? Where I live I would probably have to let each layer dry before doing the next layer. What about shrinkage? When adding caulk to spackle it sometimes dries with a crinkle look on top.
Hi Taresa! I haven't had a problem with mold but I live in a dry climate. If it's humid, drying in layers is probably a good idea. I also put a small fan blowing on my projects that have a lot of product to help them dry faster. I've never had any shrinking or cracking on these.
Hi Cassie, I love your videos! Thank you for sharing! My husband is a hobby woodworker, and I want to do a fake charcuterie board display for our first craft show. Fake foods are sooo expensive to buy, so I'm hoping to make my own, but I can't find anybody who shows how to make fake deli meats...maybe ham and kolbassa slices. Have you ever done anything like that?
@@yolandaaranda8618 No worries. I'll try to remember to start putting the specific colors in the description from now on so they'll be easy to find. When you asked that question I started second guessing myself on whether I showed them or not. LOL
I think I used Modelite in this video. You can get it at WalMart. I no longer use or recommend that product because the last 3 containers I bought were like hot chewing gum and I couldn't use them. Now I use BOHS foam clay from Amazon. It's amazing and super easy to work with.

You are a great Teacher. Thank you.
Thank you so much, Linda 🥰
I love it . I will be doing it . Thanks for sharing .
Thank you 😊
I’ve added mod podge to my caulk , paint and spackle so I don’t have to paint it on later. Works good too for glossy look🌸
Great tip!

Woow!! Thank you so much..have you done strawberries?
Yes, I have a strawberry video on my channel.
This is super cute! Thank you for sharing!!!
Thank you!
Hi-what type of caulking do you use? Some caulk out there has 100% silicone and other have silicone and latex, acrylic mix. Thanks
The one I have is from Dollar Tree and just says all purpose caulk. It doesn't have ingredients so I'm not sure. It's definitely not silicone.
These are so cute! Thank you for sharing this!
Thank you!

Yes, it's definitely easier without the paper towel roll but I have to show people how just in case 😊 I'm so happy it inspired you ❤
Thank you so much for this, I love it. When you say wait for it to dry before painting or mod podgeing, what are the drying times you suggest?

@@CassieSmallwood you're very welcome my sweet friend ❤️
I think I'm a little slow. So the mixture for the pudding is spackle and caulking, correct?
Yes and paint 😊
These mock desserts are so cute and realistic!! Did you get the paint from Amazon?
Thank you! I got mine at Walmart but they are available on Amazon.

I enjoyed your video! May I ask what color did you use for wafer? Thank you for sharing!
Thank you! I showed the colors as I was mixing them. I believe it was a mixture of Harvest Orange, Territorial Beige, Yellow, and Pale Daffodil.
Sorry I missed it. I was rewinding to write down the colors for banana and pudding.
I will give it a try. : )
