Solo leveling isn't the dragonball equivalent in manga. Because solo leveling isn't classic at all it's a very recent release that just pop off after a year of release. The classic of manwhas are all drama/romance themed ones.

The manwha finished the story this may. Although I was little bit upset and disappointed that they were changing the setting of the story as Japanese. Fortunately for crunchyroll and any other countries except japan, will air it as the original, so you guys will see korea and korean names as the original setting. As you guys mentioned in the video, A-1 pictures is Japanese and yeah lots of people were upset that they just make korean original story into japanese dub and everything. There’s some rumors? Idk if it is official but they will make a korean dub verson too so I hope all works well for this masterpiece. + the manwha author of solo leveling passed away last year july, after finishing/drawing the story which was shocking to all fans and people. We truly appreciate his work and all that he gave to create solo leveling. I hope A-1 pictures does a good job matching the crazy action scenes and stories! It's how much of the solo leveling story was ripped from the grand-daddy of the "level up in real life/dungeons in the real world" novels called Seoul Station Necromancer and yet SSN got a dogshit Manwha adaption and will never see an Anime. Its a shame because it's an amazing novel. That said SL is pretty f-ing good, but it's almost shameless how much the 2nd half is plagiarized/borrowed from from SSN. At least the author went in a different direction for the ending. (probably the weakest part of SSN was it's last 1/3 and ending) (why the SSN manwha is bad... It ruined the whole start, and skipped a lot of the world building, they stripped away a lot of the MC's pain/motivation, I mean he's nearly unrecognisable in the Manwha, not to mention the art is just mediocre. In the end the story just has none of the charm of the webnovel)
Solo Leveling is known for it's godlike art and action, it is probably the coolest looking thing that I've ever read. The problem is that this 2 aspects carry the show, the story and plot are eh, all right, and if they don't come with the best art, animation and action direction you've ever seen, like One Punch Man levels, it's gonna be ok at best. So don't get your hopes too high

SL is a highly popular korean webtoon but it's going to have a japanese adaptation. It's hype bc the webtoon art style and fight scenes were peak, it started blowing up back in pandemic days. Every manhwa readers knows SL even if they don't read it so fans don't have expectations from it tho im still gonna watch since the trailer looks decent. The only thing I don't like here was the name change and nationality 😭 they could have just have a collaboration but they didn't and had to change them 💔

Basically Solo Levelling is an adaptation of Korea Manhwa..if Japan has Manga then Korea has Manhwa.. but Manhwa isn't same style as Manga.. but more into like comic and with coloured version.. Manhwa industry has been rising for the last few years.. and since then, Anime Studio has been picking up Manhwa into anime adaptation project.. Solo Levelling isn't the first manhwa that gets anime adaptation.. they're a few manhwa that already got anime adaptation like (Tower of God, God of high School, etc.. I hope yall can react to these two as well) So Solo Levelling is a stats-system based story..in a simpler term.. the power system, element of this story just like the RPG Games...fyi, Manhwa industry gets famous bcs of this genre, and also BL ( gay story manhwa)... but Solo Levelling has its own points that makes it special than other Manhwa

Oh dang I didn’t know the last trailer was out. It finally looks decent. The manwha (Korean manga) is famous for its insanely good art and the anime just wasn’t up to the standard at first. Solo leveling is what got me and thousands of other into reading manwha. Now I have 40+ tabs open for them. The reason it’s being made in Japan is the reason countries come to America to make big movies. We have Hollywood. Japan has all the big anime studios. There are Korean and Chinese anime, but if you want to reach a worldwide audience you go to Japan.

It's got potential but I really hope they do it justice T^T The art of this webtoon/ manhwa is absolutely superb! It's soo cool! All the panels and everything was amazing! That's what we can say about the reading experience. It's famous for its art style and cool panels and of course, the action scenes.
They probably won't enjoy it unless they lower their expectations ngl. Different genres of show especially manhwas are a very different type of enjoyable.
Okay so Solo Leveling is a Korean comic, also known as Manwha, the Korean form of Manga. One of the most iconic, if not THE most iconic manwha that exists. They are staying true to the Korean origins with the names of the characters and the setting, while adapting it into the Japanese language and making it an anime. So the names of the characters are gonna be way different than what you guys are used to because of the Korean origin, but otherwise the story should be pretty easy to pick up if they do it justice. I would definitely agree tbh. I never expect anything from adaptations. If people are really interested in Solo Leveling then they should read the Manhwa or light novel. (Speaking as someone whose read both).
The original story is a manHWA not manga, and a webtoon at that as well, so it's actually very different. Not sure if the animation studio will adapt it into a Japanese style though
honestly they should lower their expectation. The story's not that deep (I mean not like AOT and etc), and they might not enjoy this type of genre (u know, like the op type of stuff). But I FREAKING LOVE this type of manhwa. Its stress free (except for the first few episode) so I hope they enjoyed it!
Yeah tbh, I love aot, but I think them starting with aot, kinda put a standard in their heads for other anime, they have compared a lot of anime they watch to aot so far and it hurts their watch through, especially if the anime’s main focus isnt it’s story/plot

The only people who like solo leveling are the animation simps who don't care about the story. The story and characters can't be more generic and bland. The whole "killing monsters in a video game simulation" has been done better and so many times already.
I think it'll still be enjoyable to them especially if the studio handles the fights well but that's about it. It'll be a fun watch for sure along the lines of one punch man or something.

The second trailer you saw was images taken from the Manhwa, I like that choice because it lets a new audience see how great it’s pages/chapters looked.
It's a big detail because the manwha is 10000/10000, so freaking good. Ah - I literally screamed when it was announced that there will be an anime adaption. So excited for this to come out, especially with having Sawano. The manwha author is literally a legend.
I started reading Solo Leveling when it had around 50 chapters out. The story is enjoyable, but nothing insane. The thing that made it such a big deal was how great the art/colors and style that it was drawn in made it sick.
Read this 200 episode manhwa in a span of 2 days and reread it again right after I was done with the last chapter. That's how amazing it is. And there were a lot of moments when I stop reading because I'm so mind-blown with the story, add the top-notched art of the manhwa and dude 🤌🏻 The anime might not capture everything but hopefully they can do a little bit of justice to it! Can't wait for you guys to know more about this 🙌🏻

It all depends how many chapters they will turn into 1 season. God of highschool covered more than 100 chapters in 13 episodes , Tower of God 79 in 13 episodes. If they are planning to animate a whole series, first season should end with clearing Demon castle and cliffhanger for Jeju Arc. Of course, it all depends on whether they plan anything more than season 1 at all. They could also take it slowly and finish first season with Sung Jinwoo getting his rank re-evaluated before A-rank gate and make 3 seasons

I haven't watched your video yet but I feel like I need to comment this now: NONE OF THE TRAILERS GIVE JUSTICE TO HOW EPIC SOLO LEVELING IS. I was never a fan of "comics" in general but the FIRST one I've ever read was Solo Leveling and I've been hooked since then. In my opinion, it has the best art of any comic there was at the time of its release(I believe the reason I decided to read it was because it looked like a full-fledged anime at first). And then boom! It indeed felt like I was watching an anime where I just needed to constantly scroll down using the mouse wheel to get to the next scene. And yes... everybody saying that the story isn't that good are 'correct'. The thing that really gripped me was how the action scenes were drawn plus the choice of colors and shadows whenever the artist was trying to convey a feeling towards a situation. You can tell when it is supposed to feel happy, sad or scary. The ART is simply EPIC; Godlike even.

Fans of the series have been waiting years for it to be animated, it’s crazy to see the day has come. Essentially the show is about those with powers that need to defeat powerful creatures attempting to invade their world through rifts in space called gates. Those people who enter are called hunters and the main character Jin-Woo is the weakest hunter. Eventually though as the title suggests, it’s discovered that while every other hunter, once their powers awaken, reach a cap in strength. Jin-Woo alone has the ability to break past his cap and level up. Only him. Solo Leveling. It’s awesome you guys definitely gotta check it out.

Solo Leveling is best action manhwa. because it's PURE HYPE. I love solo leveling for the same reason I like jjk, the fights are HYPE. Except I would say even though both series do have an actual story aside from all the action, I personally prefer Solo Leveling's (caught up with JJK manga btw)
Solo Leveling cemented a lot of the tropes you now see in hunting Manwha, which is a SUPER oversaturated genre, because it took them and actually did them WELL.
I’ll give u a basic explanation to grasp it. Basically everyone is born with certain stats and are limited to a certain rank bc the stats they are born with cant go higher unless they go through an “Awakening” but the MC gets a special condition to become a “player” and can level up without having a limit or cap to his stats. Can’t wait for this to come out already!🔥
Solo leveling was the first manhwa I ever read and it had me hooked for a couple days where all I did was read it. The art is god tier which I hope the anime lives up to (rip to the artist) but its for sure the most satisfying and hype power fantasy story I've read.
A-1 Pictures are the studio who did Sword Art Online, so even if the animation dosen't live up to the manhwa you can expect some juicy fucking sound effects

The premise of the show is that, some people will be awakened and will have powers around the ranks of E -S class, once you get the class it cannot be changed. but Sun Jinwoo is reawakened and has the power to endlessly level up, from the weakest to the strongest it then became this epic power fantasy people know and love

Actually, this original work is a Korean novel, and it is an anti-Japanese work, with a Japanese character as the villain. However, it wouldn't sell well in Japan as it was, so we made the main character Japanese and sold it as a Japanese web comic. I think it's strange that Japan would create a work like this. Basically he got a 2nd awakening after making it out of a dungeon mishap, and the world hes in has it so when people get their powers they are stuck at that rank (his previous rank being E which is thel Lowest) but now since he can level up he can get stronger over time which is something NOONE else can do.
Solo leveling is honestly one of the most fun things i have ever read. Read the whole thing in two days. The focus is not plot or deep concepts that leave you thinking, its just pure fun.
If you read the manhwa your mind will blow it will make you crazy I'm waiting for the anime for over a year I read the manhwa over a year ago and I'm a og fan of this story
I feel like this series is a lot of people's first introduction to Manhwa. It may be super popular, and leave a very good inpression on newer people to the medium, but honestly, in my opinion, it isn't as great as people say it is. There are so many raving 10/10 reviews, and yet almost no one takes a step back to really think about the substance of the series. If anyone sees this, and wants me to explain, then I will, but I'll ens it here with my review of the series being a 6/10 for the story, 9/10 for the art, and a 7/10 overall for everything, combing those first two scores and a bunch of other categories not included. It's a fun read, but it isn't a masterful work of fiction like most readers seem to think it.

Having read the manhwa, I'm ridiculously excited for this. Honestly I don't think I've ever felt as consistently hyped throughout an entire series as this one right here. Just non-stop badassery from start to finish.

SL is a highly popular korean webtoon but it's going to have a japanese adaptation. It's hype bc the webtoon art style and fight scenes were peak, it started blowing up back in pandemic days. Every manhwa readers knows SL even if they don't read it so fans don't have expectations from it tho im still gonna watch since the trailer looks decent. The only thing I don't like here was the name change and nationality 😭 they could have just have a collaboration but they didn't and had to change them 💔

Basically Solo Levelling is an adaptation of Korea Manhwa..if Japan has Manga then Korea has Manhwa.. but Manhwa isn't same style as Manga.. but more into like comic and with coloured version.. Manhwa industry has been rising for the last few years.. and since then, Anime Studio has been picking up Manhwa into anime adaptation project.. Solo Levelling isn't the first manhwa that gets anime adaptation.. they're a few manhwa that already got anime adaptation like (Tower of God, God of high School, etc.. I hope yall can react to these two as well)
So Solo Levelling is a stats-system based story..in a simpler term.. the power system, element of this story just like the RPG Games...fyi, Manhwa industry gets famous bcs of this genre, and also BL ( gay story manhwa)... but Solo Levelling has its own points that makes it special than other Manhwa
romance manhwa's are also one of the most read genre

Oh dang I didn’t know the last trailer was out. It finally looks decent. The manwha (Korean manga) is famous for its insanely good art and the anime just wasn’t up to the standard at first. Solo leveling is what got me and thousands of other into reading manwha. Now I have 40+ tabs open for them. The reason it’s being made in Japan is the reason countries come to America to make big movies. We have Hollywood. Japan has all the big anime studios. There are Korean and Chinese anime, but if you want to reach a worldwide audience you go to Japan.
Solo leveling has always been my favorite Manhwa, I remember when it started to come out online I eventually read all the pages numerous times and am so excited for the series to become this anime.

It was sooo gud n the lingering feeling afterward was so intense😭😭😭 the manhwa ia written by a korean as all the names r in korean but the anime is in japanese n i luv it cuz watching anime in Japanese has its own hype to it.. The art of this webtoon/ manhwa is absolutely superb! It's soo cool! All the panels and everything was amazing! That's what we can say about the reading experience. It's famous for its art style and cool panels and of course, the action scenes.
They probably won't enjoy it unless they lower their expectations ngl. Different genres of show especially manhwas are a very different type of enjoyable.
Okay so Solo Leveling is a Korean comic, also known as Manwha, the Korean form of Manga. One of the most iconic, if not THE most iconic manwha that exists. They are staying true to the Korean origins with the names of the characters and the setting, while adapting it into the Japanese language and making it an anime. So the names of the characters are gonna be way different than what you guys are used to because of the Korean origin, but otherwise the story should be pretty easy to pick up if they do it justice. Here's hoping

I would definitely agree tbh. I never expect anything from adaptations. If people are really interested in Solo Leveling then they should read the Manhwa or light novel. (Speaking as someone whose read both).
The fact that i've never seen the trailers for SL and we had the same reaction to Sawano's name appearing on the screen is hilarious to me 😂
The original story is a manHWA not manga, and a webtoon at that as well, so it's actually very different. Not sure if the animation studio will adapt it into a Japanese style though

honestly they should lower their expectation. The story's not that deep (I mean not like AOT and etc), and they might not enjoy this type of genre (u know, like the op type of stuff). But I FREAKING LOVE this type of manhwa. Its stress free (except for the first few episode) so I hope they enjoyed it!
Yeah tbh, I love aot, but I think them starting with aot, kinda put a standard in their heads for other anime, they have compared a lot of anime they watch to aot so far and it hurts their watch through, especially if the anime’s main focus isnt it’s story/plot

The only people who like solo leveling are the animation simps who don't care about the story. The story and characters can't be more generic and bland. The whole "killing monsters in a video game simulation" has been done better and so many times already.
I think it'll still be enjoyable to them especially if the studio handles the fights well but that's about it. It'll be a fun watch for sure along the lines of one punch man or something.

The second trailer you saw was images taken from the Manhwa, I like that choice because it lets a new audience see how great it’s pages/chapters looked.
It's a big detail because the manwha is 10000/10000, so freaking good. Ah - I literally screamed when it was announced that there will be an anime adaption. So excited for this to come out, especially with having Sawano. The manwha author is literally a legend.
I started reading Solo Leveling when it had around 50 chapters out. The story is enjoyable, but nothing insane. The thing that made it such a big deal was how great the art/colors and style that it was drawn in made it sick.
The web comic is FANTASTIC - if you wanna read it before the show drops, I recommend it!

Read this 200 episode manhwa in a span of 2 days and reread it again right after I was done with the last chapter. That's how amazing it is. And there were a lot of moments when I stop reading because I'm so mind-blown with the story, add the top-notched art of the manhwa and dude 🤌🏻 The anime might not capture everything but hopefully they can do a little bit of justice to it! Can't wait for you guys to know more about this 🙌🏻

It all depends how many chapters they will turn into 1 season.
God of highschool covered more than 100 chapters in 13 episodes , Tower of God 79 in 13 episodes.
If they are planning to animate a whole series, first season should end with clearing Demon castle and cliffhanger for Jeju Arc.
Of course, it all depends on whether they plan anything more than season 1 at all.
They could also take it slowly and finish first season with Sung Jinwoo getting his rank re-evaluated before A-rank gate and make 3 seasons

I haven't watched your video yet but I feel like I need to comment this now: NONE OF THE TRAILERS GIVE JUSTICE TO HOW EPIC SOLO LEVELING IS.
I was never a fan of "comics" in general but the FIRST one I've ever read was Solo Leveling and I've been hooked since then. In my opinion, it has the best art of any comic there was at the time of its release(I believe the reason I decided to read it was because it looked like a full-fledged anime at first). And then boom! It indeed felt like I was watching an anime where I just needed to constantly scroll down using the mouse wheel to get to the next scene.
And yes... everybody saying that the story isn't that good are 'correct'. The thing that really gripped me was how the action scenes were drawn plus the choice of colors and shadows whenever the artist was trying to convey a feeling towards a situation. You can tell when it is supposed to feel happy, sad or scary. The ART is simply EPIC; Godlike even.

Yes the same dude that did the soundtrack for aot will be doing this animes. That speaks for its potential. Fans of the series have been waiting years for it to be animated, it’s crazy to see the day has come. Essentially the show is about those with powers that need to defeat powerful creatures attempting to invade their world through rifts in space called gates. Those people who enter are called hunters and the main character Jin-Woo is the weakest hunter. Eventually though as the title suggests, it’s discovered that while every other hunter, once their powers awaken, reach a cap in strength. Jin-Woo alone has the ability to break past his cap and level up. Only him. Solo Leveling. It’s awesome you guys definitely gotta check it out.

the prolog is abt mc dead then he got second chance, then he got the "system" (the mekanism like a game). the system forcing him to lvl up, if he didnt lvl up he will got punishment/killed. basically the main story is actually the "system" use him for something, and he use system to lvl up while he find out about the system

You should watch 86 (same studio w/c is A1 pictures). Great soundtracks since Hiroyuki Sawano was behind most of it. Only few episodes. One of my fave anime lists.
the plot twists mixed with the cliffhangers are very AoTesque for sure. a bar setting for korean manhwas to say the least.

I remember watching a video that summarized 60% to 70% of this manhwa and finished reading the whole thing in three days.
I’ll give u a basic explanation to grasp it. Basically everyone is born with certain stats and are limited to a certain rank bc the stats they are born with cant go higher unless they go through an “Awakening” but the MC gets a special condition to become a “player” and can level up without having a limit or cap to his stats. Can’t wait for this to come out already!🔥
Solo leveling was the first manhwa I ever read and it had me hooked for a couple days where all I did was read it. The art is god tier which I hope the anime lives up to (rip to the artist) but its for sure the most satisfying and hype power fantasy story I've read.

The premise of the show is that, some people will be awakened and will have powers around the ranks of E -S class, once you get the class it cannot be changed.
but Sun Jinwoo is reawakened and has the power to endlessly level up, from the weakest to the strongest it then became this epic power fantasy people know and love

Actually, this original work is a Korean novel, and it is an anti-Japanese work, with a Japanese character as the villain. However, it wouldn't sell well in Japan as it was, so we made the main character Japanese and sold it as a Japanese web comic. I think it's strange that Japan would create a work like this. I am Japanese.

I feel like this series is a lot of people's first introduction to Manhwa. It may be super popular, and leave a very good inpression on newer people to the medium, but honestly, in my opinion, it isn't as great as people say it is. There are so many raving 10/10 reviews, and yet almost no one takes a step back to really think about the substance of the series. If anyone sees this, and wants me to explain, then I will, but I'll ens it here with my review of the series being a 6/10 for the story, 9/10 for the art, and a 7/10 overall for everything, combing those first two scores and a bunch of other categories not included. It's a fun read, but it isn't a masterful work of fiction like most readers seem to think it.
