This video is quite helpful for me to understand DPM model but I have simple doubts. Please clarify. If I wanted to change the pressure of cylinder, where should we give in boundary conditions and also how do we determine the flow rate? Is flow rate depends upon injection pressure?
(1) You can assign cylinder pressure through operating conditions (2) There is no ditect way to supply injection pressure. (3) You can only incorporate effect injection pressure via mass flow rate of fuel. Which again one should measure via experiment.
How can i adjust injection point i mean there is only adjustable x position value for injection but i can't use carry injection point to a specific position depends on also y axis
Thank you for the tutorial. I have a question. What if I wanted to change the density continuous fluid inside the chamber. Should I define new material with new density value or should I specify operating density in operating conditions?
@@EngineeringNature Yes, I was thinking the same thing. But, I think last time I tried this, I couldn't find density option in patching dialog window. Should I first change the material density to ideal gas law? Regards.
Hey! Thank you for your helpful video. I have one question. I used the DPM model to simulate spray too. In my model, The "particle Track" section does not show the spray from the origin, a few mm far from starting spray. What should I do that shows from the origin position?
Such an Useful Simulation Sir!
Thanks

Why do you need an outlet ? You make the fuel injection into a constant vessel.
how do you get the fluid flow visualisation if you are doing in 3d?

You can adapt certain fluid zone and patch the value of the density for continuous flow during the initialization of the problem. Regards.

Hey!! I would really want you to make another video with the same problem definition but using Detached Eddy Simulation
Thank you, We will work on it. Kindly share our channel to your friends

You should create your injection point at (0,0) origin while create a geometry.
Regards.
Is it the same for 3d ??
Yes , bit different. Thanks
@@EngineeringNature could you please tell me what is the defference, because i have a divergen problem and thank for you great job
How to find droplet size ??
I already mentioned in one of my spray tutorial.
