Quick shoutout to everyone who went out and helped people this month and still are. And a f you to scammers and those who are preying on folks hurting right now and all the time but especially the hurricane/rebuild type scam trying to rob from those who already lost everything.
My family had to evacuate, fortunately I don’t live there but I was on vacation in one of the areas that got hit hard. Luckily we Immediately left. Still sad to leave because it was such a fun vacation ❤
My Grandmother was not able to make it out sadly….tomorrow is her funeral. She chose to stay so she could be with her house and her cats. I am appreciative though that other elderly were able to make it out.
They really are. What I am struggling with is the fact their families didn't get them out. I can understand some may not have any left but for the ones that do just sit back and wait. They should have a special shelter to help elderly BEFORE the hurricane hits.😢
All the men and women are truly heroes to rescue the elderly after the hurricanes and tornadoes in Florida and south east and North Carolina and wherever they have been needed. Thanks from your Canadian neighbours for all you did.❤❤❤❤
i’m 18, and i live in nashville tennessee. i didn’t get hit with the hurricane, but other parts of tennessee did. so i helped people out in tennessee, NC, and florida. i haven’t slept in 8 days, and i haven’t ate in 4 days. i barely have time to even be on my phone…but i am so grateful for these wonderful people helping the elderly. ♥️
My school needs today showed a boy who saved 17 people from a hurricane. It shows so much of how our school core values can be shown. He even helped an elderly women. And his friend. That school news broke my heart.
I’m watching this feeling helpless, to anyone going through this please know that the world is watching & we see who is helping & who is not. Love & prayers from England.
When I was in hurricane Harvey in Texas people went around in little inflatable rafts because there were alligators and snakes in the water. Thank you to all of the people helping those in need ❤❤
This is so reassuring to know there are many good people . Being elderly is hard enough without having to go through a hurricane. Praise to all the helpers.
Thank you to all that rescued those stranded and can see that our elderly communities needed rescue before, during and most importantly after the storms
I’ve always got a smile on my face when people help th elderly or doing something for them. It warms my heart to see these old people with a smile. I remember this one video were an old man’s favorite restaurant made him his own mean as an appreciation for him coming every day. One thing that breaks my heart and it will for the entire day is seeing elderly people who lost their significant other and they never have a smile on their face. I hope when I’m hopefully can do things like this and help elderly people and see smiles on peoples face in general. These people are hero’s and role models for the new generation. WE LOVE YOU KEEP DOING WHAT YOUR DOING ❤️ side note: no one will read this completely 😭
@@drblock21 What if they were born there? What if they moved there because they had family there? Some of these people don't really have the luxury to go somewhere else. This is awesome!!! Thank you officers for helping the senior citizens in Florida!!! Some of them may live alone or may live with others who can’t necessarily take care of themselves so the term rescue really applies here because if they run out of food, clean water, or their electricity goes out they could be in a lot of trouble… Thank you to everyone who is doing their part to help communities that were affected by the hurricanes!!! My utmost respect and appreciation goes out to all of you!❤
Many thanks to each and every person that helped people to safety. Thanks to the people who brought food and baby formula to stranded people in their homes. To the rescuers who carried elderly to the boats that would bring them to a safe place. I do believe that there are many more good people than bad. I know I must of left out many rescuers, but not intentionally. Just thank you to all the many helping people ❤
My heartfelt prayers go out to those who have been displaced, and I extend my deepest gratitude to all those who are selflessly providing assistance during this difficult time.
I am grateful to all the people who took the time & energy to rescue people, especially the elderly, during these devastating hurricanes. I am 79 & live in Utah. It is reassuring to know that younger, stronger & more able people will risk their own lives to save others. God bless those who were rescuers & the rescued. This natural willingness to help one another is part of our American Heritage & may we continue to do so!
Respect to all these men and women who are helping with the must needed relief. You won’t see a first responder running for office because they actually go out into the world and make a change for the better. These are the people our children should look up to
God Bless those fine people for rescuing those elders. I would do the same if I were in that situation, having lost all but 1 grandparent I simply could never bring myself to leave anyone behind during any disaster.
Yes! Sad this happened, however I did hear this senior center moved to "higher ground" thinking it would be better before they knew there was no higher ground. Luckily for all, everyone is safe. I have no idea how all the first responders are doing this. Back to back storms, hurricanes included.(3)
Risk their lives for those who wouldn’t leave when they were supposed to. And there are always place to go. They send out busses to take people to shelters.
Just hoping everybody in the state of Florida are all ok and are safe. Thanks so much to those police officers who decided to do that. They have a golden heart.
That warms my heart to see these police officers go out after the hurricane was over. To save the elderly from being trapped in their homes. Human kindness at its best.

Omg you can't just leave the elderly behind. Thank you!!!!❤
Not sure they were left behind because many seniors live alone, like me at 78.
Many of them either chose to stay because they're stubborn or they had no one to go with/no resources to get out.
They were most likely alone or refused to leave
The day they had the horricane i was at school we were talking about this whole situation and this means a lot for them the elderly people 😢😢😊
Beautiful to behold. God please bless them all.🙏🏼 Showing this love to strangers and their sacrifice in helping seniors, is priceless.

No, they're not.
