    That was great! Easy to follow too! Question. When stringing beads how do we decide when to use thread versus when to use wire?

    • @MinimoCreation
      @MinimoCreation  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      In my opinion, wire is better for most stringing projects because it is much stronger than normal stringing threads. It is also fray-resistant, so if you use beads with sharp edges like crystals, your designs will be more durable. On the other hand, threads are known for the softness, so it's more flexible while beading and your designs feel less stiff. In general, what to use depends on your projects and how comfortable you feel working with wire/thread.

    So if I wanna attach the extension chain I just use a jumpring right?

    • @MinimoCreation
      @MinimoCreation  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      that's right. Just use a jump ring to attach the loop from the calotte to your extension chain.

    Hi, what size is your clamshell? Can a clamshell be too small for a design?

    • @MinimoCreation
      @MinimoCreation  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello. My clamshell is 7x4mm (including the loop). That size for a clamshell is good for all of my jewelry. Oh, and the crimp bead I used is 1.5mm with the hole of 1mm. Can you give me more information about the design that you are working on?

    Can I use this on a normal stretchy string?

    • @MinimoCreation
      @MinimoCreation  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      you can try, but normally, I tie a knot for stretchy bracelets. Hope this one helps: th-cam.com/video/zddGpFKmdBs/w-d-xo.html

      @@MinimoCreation how about necklace?

    • @MinimoCreation
      @MinimoCreation  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Mimi-kl6od A clamshell calotte works best with non-stretchy strings like nylon threads. It doesn't matter how long the string is. If you want to make a beaded necklace with a string, just make sure the string is secured in the calotte. Hope it helps!

  • @avigayilb
    @avigayilb หลายเดือนก่อน

    But this is only half the story. How do you attach the calotte at the end of the bead strand?

    • @MinimoCreation
      @MinimoCreation  หลายเดือนก่อน

      it's the same process, but you need to leave the string long enough and then cut out the extra part later.

    • @avigayilb

      @@MinimoCreation I don't understand. I'm always fumbling to crush the crimp inside the calotte.
