@@projectorjunkies4152 just saw your video with the Pro 2 on the 300” screen! That was epic! I’m looking forward to reading your review later tonight! I always enjoy the amount of detail and time you put into it
These pro2 and max are literally the only reason Id even consider a projector vs UST/Xxl tv. 🎉 for me, regular projectors will NEVER be in my budget because they are too basic and don’t offer all the other features UST and big TVs offer and cost too much. (Not to mention mounting issues, power issues, sound etc) I’m super impressed with the ballroom pro2/max and as a renter, I’ll never buy a reg projector and I feel the pro2 and max will be end game for someone like me. 🎉 Great review thanks! I hope we hit the 3d glasses tier!
Thanks for your great reviews! You are making me second guess my preorder of the Plus 2 vs Pro so here is my question. I’m building a dedicated, light controlled room that I plan to use a 150” screen. I don’t plan to move the projector so that was my thought on saving money vs the optical zoom. My big question… is the extra 1000 lumens worth the $600 up-charge? Could you show some side by side shots? Thanks again!
@@shawnblackmur7887 That sounds really nice. I’m a little conflicted with this one. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with the Plus 2 at all. it also helps you save a little bit of money to put towards your build. Having said that, I would prefer the pro two at that size. The added brightness will be a benefit, especially when viewing HDR content. If it was me and I had the extra money, I would buy the Pro 2.
@@ToidI was afraid you would say that about the larger screen needing more lumens… looks like I’ll switch my order to the Pro 2 😊 Thanks for the advise, I’m excited to see the image in person!
I bought a Valerion Vision Master Pro 2, and I’d like some advice on which screen to choose. First of all, I’d like to know which type of screen is more suitable: white, gray, or with ALR technology. The room has low lighting. Then, once the type of screen is decided, I’d like to understand the best screen size for my room. The room dimensions are 4x3 meters; I will be sitting about 3 meters away from the screen, while the projector will be positioned approximately 3.5 meters away. The wall where the screen will be mounted is 3.8 meters wide. Additionally, I’d appreciate direct purchase links to get an idea of the options available. I’m in Italy, so it would be great if the suggestions are for the European market.
Brilliant video mate. I use an Epson 3800 in my living room and it’s brilliant, very bright. I am tempted by the Valerion max. Would you say the Valerion is brighter than the Epson 3800 in ambient light conditions
@@ap8407 I can answer that definitively that the max is better. I know this because I recently replaced an Epson 3800 with the +2. And the +2 was better. And the max is better than the +2. It is extremely bright. We just did a live stream on Facebook yesterday and I was so impressed with the Max just on a white wall. Anyway, that’s a lot to just say yes
Didn't realize they added two free 3D glasses for hitting $7 million, and they already reached it. I wonder what they will add if they will add any additional rewards, like reaching $10 million. I'm enjoying the ride with this campaign. I signed up for the basic Plus model at $1200. I began to feel cheated for not getting in on at the beginning of the kickstarter when this model was at $1K. Few comments, 1.) Most people looking at this are not really a into a life style projector at this price point. 2.) People are cross shopping this right now based upon the feedback with things like the Sony or JVC most likely based upon these heavy handed positive reviews. 3.) We don't need android in the project. 4.) We don't need speakers in the projector. 5.) With kick backs and cuts that Kickstarter is taking this projector should be way less expensive after the Kickstarter is done. Referrals are 5%, Kickstarter takes another 5% and then credit card processing which I'll ignore but counts because as something is more expensive it does add cost 3%. So these projectors could easily be 10% cheaper after the kickstarter. If some of these useless features where dropped a lot more people might consider it especially 10% cheaper.
I'd prefer a projector like this that has all I need for streaming built it. Not needing another device or devices to take up space which alot of us don't have. Price point seems very reasonable for what you're getting. The majority of people out there are looking for a more user-friendly ready to go out of the box product. And this is marking all of the boxes.
@@robbiedh02 The streaming device again for a projector in this price point likely will have a connection to it of some kind for sound, also having upgraded a streaming box over time I'd rather not be tied to what the projector has or limited to. Again I'm cross shopping this with higher end projectors, it just has the wrong options like it also really needs horizontal lens shift.
I think you misrepresent the sentiments of those interested in this market. And as far as the product, AWOL is backing the production of this Unit. @darrenorange2982 your confusion starts with understanding the purpose of a LIFESTYLE projector. What your looking for is a replacement and reduction in price for your $15K home theater monstrocity.I think there's some butthurt feelings about these features being added to the lifestyle format of projector first. If you don't want streaming features and and an OS built into your projector then you don't belong in the lifestyle market. Take your complaints to Brickhouse makers, Jvc,Sony and Christie
@@darrenorange2982interesting point here, but I don’t think they can deliver a cheaper price than they are at the kickstarter price. Companies need a minimum order quantity (MOQ) in order to get manufacturers onboard with mass producing the product. The kickstarter campaign might be set up for satisfying MOQ and getting the project up and running. Therefore the early backers are being rewarded with the product at near production cost and operating cost which won’t be available when it’s out in the market.

Hey Toids, Call me a chicken🐔for not wanting to take a chance on the more expensive models. I signed up for the basic Plus model. After this review Im wondering if 1500 lumens is enough for a good image to bring out all the capabilities of this projector while viewing during the daytime in a medium sized room with shades drawn. Its 12x16x8(H). My screen is 110' with a ceiling projector mount 10' away. Curently My 850 lumens triple laser JMGO N1 1080 works ...ok... in this daytime environment. But Its very good at dusk and terrific in the evening. No one is reviewing the basic Plus model, so I need some encouragement to hang in there with this model due to budget restrictions.🐔
I haven’t personally seen the plus. None of us have. Having said that, I think all of the models are going to be more than enough. Would you get a better picture with the plus 2, of course. But that shouldn’t discourage you from getting what you can afford. All you can afford is a plus, I’m sure you’ll be happy with it. @@Toid I appreciate your prompt response as Im mulling over the decision to upgrade to the Plus 2. As strickly a home theater dark room projector I'm sure it will look great as compared to what I have. But I still have a goofy fantasy that a few extra lumens might help me get comfortable with moving out my OLED TV and use the Plus as a replacement for daytime viewing. (Its taking up too much space and is sometimes too uncomfortably bright at night) I'm on the facebook group .I inquired to Valerion as to why they haven't released the Plus model to reviewers. @@prusakj1425 haha! You still have a few days to ask. Of course you can always just project this right onto wall if you want to. It won’t give you a picture as a dedicated screen, but it will work. There’s also those portable screens you can pick up off Amazon that come with a frame. You can pick those up for under $100.
@@prusakj1425 Sure. Another type of screen you can consider is one that pulls up from the floor, or rises up from a motorized case. a new trend created out of the ust market. Worse case, if you project onto a white or light grey wall with no reflective paint that works decent too .
@Jacob-ed1bl thanks mate, what would you say how much of a downgrade would it be? some videos make the quality of the image pop like OLED. I am close to buy the Max version.
You will not get the contrast levels of an OLED image. No TV lover should expect anything other than the ,film-like image quality produced from a movie theater projector. The reviewers consensus it that This is the absolute best quality projector in this category produced to date. Also , your screen size is only limited by the physical limitations of your projection room.
@brucesmith1754 I have serious doubts about how good this thing actually is. I'll wait until more professional reviewers use actual equipment to test it. With the cheap cost comes cheaper components. There's always a tradeoffs.

How does this compare to "non lifestyle" projectors like the Epston 6030
No comparison and I have a 5030ub with Darbee. If it can beat a JVC, Epson is no match.

Noob question. Does this projector or other laser projectors have brightness control? Maybe its dark in the room and I dont need all 2000 lumens?
@@bruno3833 yes it does. You basically controlled the power of the laser.
Do you think the Pro 2 would be too bright for a 100 inch screen in a dark room with EBL on?
@@markforsythe5274 not at all. I’m currently using it on 110 inch screen with EBL on. You can also be able to adjust the laser level. Currently that option is locked when using EBL, but Valerion has assured us that you will be able to adjust the laser level with EBL. Is just a matter of time.
Trust me, extra light is just as important as blacklevel!.
I would like to know if the Visionmaster Pro 2 would be a significant improvement over my Optoma GT1080 Darbee projector in terms of contrast, colors, and level of detail, or would it just be an okay improvement?
@@CamiloMaidanaHD the Plus 2 or Pro 2 would be a significant upgrade over the Optoma GT1080. It would be a night and day difference in every category you listed.
@@Toidthanks for replying, I ordered the pro 2!
I can tell you that the JMGO N1 which is only a 1080p, 850 lumens, triple laser projector is a significant upgrade on the GT1080. The N1 blows away every 1080p projector ive ever owned ( 5 of them). So just imagine how much better the Valerion will be.
@@brucesmith1754 🤯🤯 can't wait
Can you tell me
How does it perform in dark room on white wall without projector screen? I guess a lot of people watch without screen projectors.
@@pingui1488 I haven’t tried that. Period. However, I did project it off mi garage door. Technically you did go onto a cheap Amazon spandex screen. But as you could see in the pictures in the video, you can see right through it. wouldn’t be much different. You’d be fine, but in order to get your best picture quality you would want a screen
@@Toid Thank You! I am also worried about if the projector is not in the center mounted and mounted a bit sideways, if it produce so called black borders, which are a no go for me. I prefer the picture directly sharp without any black border.
After your experience with valerion visionmaster plus and the pro 2 what is your suggestion for the screen, color, gain, material?
I am already a backer for the Max model and my setup will be 130" in a light controlled room
Thank you very much 🙏
@@harrypotter-mm1jz I’ve really only used it on my Acoustically transparent screen. And for that, I’m very happy with it. I wouldn’t personally use a positive gain white screen. There’s no reason to make it brighter. I would prefer the darker black.
@Toid thank you very much
@@Toid Do you think a 1.1 gain matte white screen would improve the lumens performance on the basic Plus model.
@@brucesmith1754 technically it’ll make it a little brighter. I’ve never seen the plus model, so I can’t give any direct knowledge on that. I have only used the Plus 2 and the Pro 2 model.
I've seen a lot of content creators reviewing this projector lately, which leads me to believe Valerion is paying big bucks to push this out there. I'd love to see some side by side tests done before purchasing it. Put it against the "budget" non lifestyle projectors so we can compare it's value, put it against the epson ls11000 and 12000, Sony 5000es and jvc nz7 (just for kicks and giggles)
That way we can see it's true performance

PLEASE HELP ME, I AM BUYING THE VALERION, but I don't know which screen to buy, in the space I have I think a 132" one can fit, even a 150" one, but they told me that the 132" one has no seam so I think it's the best option but I don't know which one you recommend please
@@Draw777arq I’m assuming you’re getting an ALR screen? If so, then I prefer the one without the seam. If you’re looking at just a white screen, then you can go with 150 inch and not worry about a seam.
Please talk about fan noise
There’s really nothing to say about it. It’s practically silent. It didn’t bother me outside watching an outdoor movie. It definitely doesn’t bother me in my theater with surround sound.
I was hoping it was that quiet, thanks for the review@@Toid
What kind of screen did you test on. Is a alr screen required to match jvc blacks?@Toid
@ no. If you want darker black should be looking at a gray screen. But that will also affect your whites. I don’t personally think this projector needs that. But that’s really a personal decision.
Waiting for max

Hey Toids,
Call me a chicken🐔for not wanting to take a chance on the more expensive models.
Keep in mind, that’s almost twice the lumen output of what you currently have.
@@Toid I appreciate your prompt response as Im mulling over the decision to upgrade to the Plus 2. I'm just caught up with all the great feedback for the Plus2/Pro2 models that I cant help that FOMO feeling. Crickets. Although they claim the Plus will work for my environment. I'll bite my nails and see what happens. Can be too bad a deal for $1200. Thanks for you feedback, Mr. Toids!
@@Toid Great points made. And how bad a deal can it be for a $2000 projector being made available as a $1200 kickstarter by a reputable company. Thanks
Just saw this today 😮💨😢
The Valerion is a rebadged Hisense C2 Ultra. Identical specs, identical Menus. The only difference is the EBL, but that's rumored to be coming in a firmware update from Hisense soon.
I doubted you. I was wrong.
@@DLPHomeCinema I completely get it. I’m just glad there’s been enough people that have seen it now that we know how great it really is. I don’t want anyone to miss this deal if they are in the market for a projector.

@@hermangaviria690 I don’t use virtuix CAD, so I’m not the best one to give the tutorial. But don’t worry more videos are coming up on speakers. I’m also going to start taking a look at some commercial speakers as well.
How much do screens weigh? My landlord would probably have my ass for putting something on the wall.
The screen size and whether you have a manual or motorized screen determines the weight. e.g. a 100" manual screen is around 20lbs. I have a motorized version that is 45lbs. But a much larger manual screen can be comparable in weight.
@@brucesmith1754 alright not as heavy as I thought,I'm gonna look.
@@prusakj1425 Sure. Another type of screen you can consider is one that pulls up from the floor, or rises up from a motorized case. a new trend created out of the ust market. Worse case, if you project onto a white or light grey wall with no reflective paint that works decent too .
Please tell me how it compares to LG OLED, I love the OLED image and dont want to downgrade😅
It doesn't and can't compare. A projector isn't capable of producing that kind of image.
@Jacob-ed1bl thanks mate, what would you say how much of a downgrade would it be? some videos make the quality of the image pop like OLED. I am close to buy the Max version.
@captaincommodore8901 Pretty significant. I had a JVC NX7 with an 135" and it produces a beautiful image but not as good as my Samsung 98" TV.
