    Greetings from the Great State of Confusion, Maryland. Thank you for your review. I just got my FX935 F-35 in the air today. Crazy windy today too. Flew in "B" mode the entire flight. WHAT FUN! Didn't have to make any trim adjustments. High Alpha was fun. Level and fast was a blast doing "yank and banks." Can't wait for a calm day to let her rip!

      Hi Randall!
      These little parkjets are a lot fun and faster than you would think for their size.
      I was just thinking of taking mine out again as it's been collecting dust for a long time.
      They make you work the sticks in some wind ;-)
      See you in the Air!

    Can't wait to see You go balls out ballistic with mods to this good looking little boid!
    Beauty GCRC, must be getting warm up there already.
    Great display and review thanks.

      Thank you much Jono! That is a nice looking Airframe ;-) A brushless conversion is in it's future! It's getting in the 80's F now. We keep having warm-ups and then cool-downs. Take a jacket and a T-Shirt ;-)

    The beep from the control box is telling you the AA batteries need changing. Great video.

      Hi Philip! Thank you much! I had fresh AA batteries installed so maybe the Low Voltage Sensor is not working properly.

    Hey, I bought 3 of this plane, first one left aileron stopped working after some time, second one still flying around, third one as a gift to an old friend. Being fond of this plane, I am looking forward to your expert flight videos. I was even able to add a 13 gram spy camera on the landing gear and raise it up to 400-500 feet high.

    • @GroundControlRC
      @GroundControlRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Okan! Yes, when I can get back to the hanger I'm going to take it out and test it in Expert Mode. Hopefully I'll put it through some good testing and not crash ;-) Carrying a 13g camera is awesome! If it can do that it shouldn't have any problem carrying and FPV CAM. I think there is too much resistance on the control surfaces so I'm going to cut out the foam hinges and use tape hinges to see how much that improves the movement. See you in the Air!

    What an odd dodo bird. Flying around in high alpha is fine for airshow passes, but not the entire flight. Looking forward to expert flight to see if it is even capable of level passes.
    Looks like good potential mod material. Make that birdie fly like it was MEANT to ;-)
    Happy flying!

      Thank you much! It is a bit of an odd bird. Quite fun doing high alpha but yes, I need to see it in expert mode ;-)

      @JoshuaIsCringe ปีที่แล้ว

      cant you fix the high alpha using trim?

  • @davidNH
    @davidNH 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    hey tony, cool looking bird, this going to get the same mod brushless as the fly bear got?

    • @GroundControlRC
      @GroundControlRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey David! That is a good looking airframe isn't it ;-) Yep, as soon as it's time to replace the Brushed Motors it's conversion time ;-)

  • @davidlewis620

    Oh yes, the on-off switch could be bleeding off more of the current from the battery than it should as a result of possibly being faulty ! So, removing the switch could solve the power problem ?

      Hehehe...I hope so as that beeping sure is annoying ;-)

    Would like to use my radiomaster 16TS. Do you know what protocol is used?

    • @GroundControlRC
      @GroundControlRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi John! I could not find this info in the Multi-Module search and I think I tried every protocol to try and bind without success. It's still a fairly new plane so hopefully this plane and the KF F-35 will be supported soon ;-)

    yea had the same problem with the eachine mini wing dragon, damn annoying that constant beeping all the time.faulty transmitters .for me. id say for how it flys. a bit over priced at the moment .

    • @GroundControlRC
      @GroundControlRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Kelvin! Yeah, the Mini Wing Dragon is definitely a Tinker Plane ;-) I had to make quite a few MODs on that one. I need to test this one in expert Mode once I get back to the Hanger before I can make a judgement on it. It seems pretty stable but more testing is required. See you in the Air!

    Are you sure its designed for high alfa or is the plane just poorly designed and tail heavy? You can trim a tail heavy plane to a certain degree but its a waste of power adding elevator drag just to make it level, this would also make it dodgy on tight turns.

    • @GroundControlRC
      @GroundControlRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You know, it's hard to tell as it also has a very problematic gyro.
      You really can't be sure of any plane that doesn't have full manual mode.
      You can't even tell if it's tail heavy or properly trimmed without full manual mode as the gyro will try to compensate.
      You can get an idea by seeing where the plane balances in relation to the root chord of the wing.
      If that's way off you know it's nose heavy or tail heavy.
      I assume it's designed for high alpha as I reviewed another plane, the KF Plane F-35, and it defaulted to high alpha as well but could be trimmed out and once that was done it's the best beginner parkjet I've flown and extremely stable.
      Perhaps I would have had a similar experience with the FlyBear plane had the gyro not been so problematic.
      Anyway I couldn't recommend the plane because of the gyro issue which is too bad as I've flown a few of the FlyBear planes and most have been great.
      If you want to be certain about a plane make sure you can fly it in full manual mode, otherwise, it's just an educated guess.
      See you in the Air!

      Hi Joshua!
      This is the 1st FlyBear Plane that I didn't care for.
      The KFPlane F-35 is much better and a blast to fly.

      @@GroundControlRC Unfortunately the KF605 is not sold in my country. Is the FX935 really that bad? Or did you get a defective one?

    • @GroundControlRC
      @GroundControlRC  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JoshuaIsCringe Unfortunately, it's pretty bad. I had a blast with the FlyBear Su-35 before converting it to a 2S Brushless Power System. I don't know if that one's available where you live but I would pass on the FX935.

      @@GroundControlRC Why is it bad? Does it just fly badly in general?

    • @GroundControlRC
      @GroundControlRC  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JoshuaIsCringe It had bad tendencies to abruptly nose down and the gyro wasn't very good.
      So it wasn't a very good flying plane and was very unpredictable.

    Is here California?, nice spot for small rc planes.

      Thank you! It's nice big area, the only drawback is you have find small windows of opportunity when there isn't so much wind ;-) It's in Northern New Mexico.

    Nice review I agree that it is an odd hi-alpha flyer and I eagerly anticipate the Expert mode video because I am thinking of getting one to gut and mod to brushless if it can get out of hi-alpha! :) Like my dual brushless P-38 mod I'll slap a couple servos and a Frsky RX into it. th-cam.com/video/HATCYaK16j8/w-d-xo.html

      Hi Bernie!
      Question: Was this post really made 5 months ago?
      I ask because your's is the 2nd post I've been notified of today that was listed as posted a long time ago.
      Strange I'm just now getting notified of post made months ago.
      It seems TH-cam is getting worse ;-)
      Hehehe....I just watched your video ;-)
      That Converted P38 is awesome!
      What a little Rocket!
      Well done on your Conversion.
