I have accepted the fact that for me, Seiko has the best design language. It's varied and interesting. I also appreciate that they have price points for different budgets and it's all in house.
10:55 FYI folks: you can easily swap this clasp out for another premium Seiko clasp with more micro adjusts. It’s super easy. I have done it a few times with nothing more than a springbar tool.
A really lovely Seiko that wears and feels amazing on the wrist. It has to be the black dial for me as when you see it on your wrist it really does pop and has the Wow factor. Thanks for reviewing Mark👏👏
I love how Seiko has nice watches. I am still amazed that so many people buy a watch only to brag to others. When I see these sad little men it is upsetting. I love Seiko’s higher-end offering. I wear my Astron all the time, and I have a Turtle with the 8L35 power it. These watches offer so much, and one can avoid stupid branding. Swiss over-marketing is tiring. I used to be an Omega guy, but now I only have one, and it is old. I sold my Rolex for too much money. I cannot see value in all the hype watches. I wish Tissot were more like Seiko. I am not the only guy who wants premium finishing without a crusty, status-selling brand attached. Also, it would be nice if Seiko would have on-the- fly bracelet adjustment. If Formex can do it, they can. Hell, San Martin can do it for $300.
Beautiful watch. I love how you do your reviews. And it awesome that you have the same wrist size as me so I can see how it will probably fit on my wrist.
How is yours running? Of 3 SPB 143s I tried, one was out of spec, one on the bubble, and one was good. My SPB 451 is about +7 in all positions in the box, closer to +12 when worn. It seems that the 6R movements are all over in terms of accuracy/positional variation. When you compare this to the TAG, or the Tudor I think both of those brands will be uber consistent. I.e., a grey market BB58 is ~+$400 over one of these, is COSC so will run at +1.5/+2 forever. How has your 6L37 been running? I have the gray/green en route and am hopeful that it is a consistent performer that hopefully runs well within spec. Great video, thanks!
Great looking seiko diver. Good value if at a discount. The pricing is a bit odd for me though. The msrp is similar to many sla seiko divers with a 8L35 movement. I would asume the 8l35 is a more expensive moverment to produce? Very handome watch, eye candy❤
My man, people like tool-less adjustable clasps bc many people’s wrist change sizes during the course of a day with temperature and activities and it’s nice to be able to make small changes to the bracelet size 😂
Again, your videos make it impossible to shop while watching because it stops the video. Nobody else’s videos do that. I’d love to be able to *maybe* purchase what you’re showing me while you’ve got me excited about it.
It’s a piece of jewellery. The watch industry has lots of people fooled. “Tool watch”, “sentimental piece” “diver”. In this day and age, it’s just jewellery that keeps time.
I love SBDX001, 017, 62MAS, Tuna but I can't understand this one. It looks like Frankenstien. It's design was born dead. Peace if a chap almost... Seiko you have to stop and think it again and never again create anything that ugly.
Did you say that this is $2800 msrp but Belmont has it for $4200?
$2400 😅
@@AverageBros$2400 us dollars or Aus dollars please??

Their cases are really above all. I love the different surfaces with different finishing. I really hate the flat polished Tudor, even rolex
Have SJE101 since march. Love it.

Gorgeous watch. That diver’s extension is a crime against humanity tho
as I've said before these also look great on a sailcloth, this one on a blue artem is super sweet!
Might be my favorite color of these Marinemasters.
This Seiko watch is dead gorgeous !!!
Great video. How does this compare to a Black Bay?
Similar level of finish but the fitment tolerances aren't as tight, design wise though I find it to be leagues more interesting
Love this blue. Gorgeous!

This blue is awesome. Does it align well?
It does 😅
Is it the Sje119? The bezel looks black like the sje117

Seiko needs to put a logo on the crown for that price.... seriously such a great company but why ????

Which is the better blue dial seiko...SJE119 or the SLA055?
I prefer this dial
How good is the 6L movement ❓
Comparable to the ETA 2892 Top Grade
@@AverageBros that’s a great reference❗️ Thank you 🙏🏻
İ have sje 101 black one , it gains 5seconds a day regardless of the position of the watch , movement is very stable and feels secure
@@leventturkan3503 tks for sharing it!
The 6l movement was used in Credor watches first. I have the sje073 with the 6l. Runs great! Very accurate, unlike my 6r watches
Something else. Just saying.......$2800 for this vs $5000 plus for swiss ? Think real value.
Used sla seikos are amazing value also.
In order to compete with other watches in that price range, it needs to be regulated. For that price, you can get other watches.
@@greenerick it is regulated to a maximum variance of -10 to +15 seconds per day which is tighter than a Top Grade ETA movement
I thought he said $4200.
in my opinion the only dealbreaker here is the stubborn cheap looking clasp design

Look nice but 39.5 case is way too small for a real diver. This is more a ladies watch

My point being, there’s no such thing as a real diver watch unless you’re talking about a Garmin
