Just thought I'd say. It's a really great resource. Its fairly cheep, cuts nicely, sticks well (with hot glue and super glue), moulds really nicely round curved surfaces. I started using it on my builds a couple of years ago and I use it all the time now. Highly recommend giving it a go. All the best :)
Whenever I watch a Bill Making Stuff video, I want to stop whatever I'm doing for the day and just make something. Thanks Bill, you're the reason I've been hoarding piles of plastic junk the last two years.

I actually went ahead and looked at the sample rolling page for building a bot and i have to say, what i rolled up is exactly what i thought of when i imagined a junkbot.
A heavy smoker, “He looks dangerous”, Warmachine, kaboom!, triple jointed, savage.
Just a big ol chonker of a furnace with legs essentially.
Every time i watch one of your videos about the gutterlands, i just always imagine these giant walking fuel burners wandering the desert, just punching eachother.

I know where your sidekick Cat is (or several sidekicks, did I guess?) They've captured a lot of people, primarily your brother, and are forcing them to make big bots as cool as yours.

Bill, merch idea: Bead kits. A collection of some of your favorite shapes in small quantities. Maybe even different sets. I know beads aren’t that expensive but it can add up quickly when you only need two out of a bag.
Would kind of be against the junky aesthetic/ethos of building stuff outa junk you can find for free or low cost
@@Whattwa I see it more as jump starter to get crafting and into playing the game sooner. Some folks might not have the time or means to start collecting bits before they can enjoy the game.
go to poundland/dollar tree with less money and get bags of bits you need. The cost for someone to organise what you are suggesting would exceed anything they would hope to make back on it so probably isnt going to happen.

As a children's librarian, I love storytime with Bill.
The Warder is amazing and must be protected at all costs. Maybe there's Rusters who love it so much, they don't want to destroy it, so they make it that Avatar of their god, and then they create their own little sect, and the bring the Warder out at festival time? Anyway, so many idea. Big Bot Bash is amazing and should be an annual thing.
I see that the less successfully but equally handsome version of Bill is joining in for the collaboration. Soon we're gonna have sibling rivalry, or maybe some sweet "youtuber drama" in the form of a stop-motion animation.
I imagine Bill clambering to the edge of a diseased cliff overlooking a stormy ocean, raising his clawed hands to the roiling sky and intoning the dread words, *"UNLEASH THE GERT!"* The mad fool; he has doomed us all!
Bill's videos are always such friendly fun; even the music feels like a hug for the ears.

I'm sure that per usual Miscast will be 2-3 months behind schedule on his contribution. Not that I'm mad, but that's just how he rolls.
You talking about flavor and not eating the bot made me suddenly imaging you making a bot out of food. Like a gingerbread house, but Ruster style. Candy, cookies, cake, etc. as your materials. Or, if you were feeling like being healthy, a fresh veggie platter style party plate, in the shape of a bot.
Love seeing everyone's unique and creative build! I'm just a Big Bot Bash Barnacle here, clinging onto the underside of the mothership, hurtling through the cold void of space, hoping for a stray view or two for sustenance...

Boylei Hobby Time's video popped up in my recommended list and now I am fully invested in watching this whole playlist.
If it were me, I would buy a bulk order of tritium vials and would glue them behind anything clear or translucent, like the eyes, so they would glow in the dark.
The intro for itself is pure gold, i chuckled and laughed so much. the rest of the vid is mercury
(as I am told the next higher element in the periodic table)

Your comment about crafting and having your kids really hit home with me. My crafting area is outside, but when the weather is nice my daughter and I spend hours building random stuff out of random plastic crap. Now that we have the rules for Tonks and Bangarang I think this summer we're actually going to work on making game pieces for those together. We got into Gaslands last summer, so time to diversify our model collection.

Happy Bot Bash!!!! 100% Love the lore for The Warder. The Savage flavor makes sense as it all it has to do is look threatening. The pacifist warrior God that never raises a blade in anger or malice but just defaults to factory settings and strikes a pose it observed a thousand years ago.

I always love the priming phase. At the end of the build phase it just looks like a bunch of crap all stuck together but then spray it with primer and BAM! it looks like an actual thing
Would love for the bot bash to be an annual thing. The bot generator really help some of my friends who were paralysed by indecision finally pick up a knife and start scratchbuilding

I think this is my favorite build of yours ever. I wish you guys did bashes in different settings every month.
Just got an Idea for a RPG, it's called Gutters & Bots or Rust & Beasts or something like this, I think you got the Idea. If you would create a Gutterlands RPG which seems to me the logical next step. I would buy it. But no pressure 😅

Found this through Mr. Boylei Hobby Time - A-FREAKING-MAZING!!! This build series has kept my attention all day! Thank you Bill Making Stuff, and to each and every contributor for sharing your creativity, process, humor, insight, and did I mention entertaining? Yes, entertaining! I hope y'all will make this something of a regular/annual sort of group enterprise. Very clever concept, extremely diverse results, however - most of all - and Ms. Whittle Goblin said it best - I found a whole new bunch of channels to subscribe, like, and continue watching. Keep up the GREAT WORK!

i flippin love this bot design! definitely reminiscent of ohms 💓. i thought the boney additions would be a little weird at first, but they are pretty cool and tying them on with fabric really works. super cool, and i love the backstory too.

I looked up Woodlice, Bill. It's what I thought it was. My sister and I used to find them outside when we were little. We called them 'rollie pollie bugs', and I still refer to them as that. I was amazed, though, to learn later in life that they're crustaceans. Huh.
Really like this bot, the savage story was a nice touch. I've watched 8 of these videos so far, i'll watch the rest tomorrow. Thanks for sharing your art.

I attempted my first scratchbuilt junk bot today after being a warhammer painter / converter years ago, and it will be no surprise I made an absolute meal of it 😂. I’m going to keep adding bits until I feel it’s done, and hopefully it won’t look completely rubbish. Thanks for inspiring me to come back to the hobby, can’t wait to watch the playlist!
