This is the arrangement, this is the performance. There isn't a better one out there. All of the vivid colors achieved, ebbing and flowing, one into the next is a beauty words can't capitulate. This arrangement and this performance (conductor and choir) of it is quite an achievement. I always find myself coming back to it. I first heard it on public radio while driving home from work a few years ago. I had a moment. I'd never heard a choir make pure emotions with their voices like this. I had always dreamed a vocal performance could be like this and never heard anything come close. There's always too much "music" in a choir performance. Obvious meter, harmonic changes, drastic dynamics. Too much artificial structure. Not enough use of polychords, elisions, overlapping motifs, ethereal stuff. You all in your combined efforts managed to pull every wish out of my imagination and put it all in one performance. Thank you all.

    心が締め付けられそうに悲しく辛く苦しい時にこの曲、歌声を聴くと心の穏やかさを取り戻せる。歌いたい気持ちになる
