Jack had a tough time trying to evade/ escape them but ultimately get capture. Like in the video, he was saved by alternative means (the bounty couple betray each other, his pet saved him and the light thing says he wasn't ready yet) which in the imakandi case, Jack was under their mercy.

I want to say no cause that particular Time Portal not only is guarded well but well guarded in terms of information. Jack got there thanks to some spirits, and while there have been countless opponents before I'm sure the notoriety of the place eventually got to the point that NOBODY would recall it as a possible gateway to the past, more like a gateway to instant death.
Both of you could be right, but recall… Aku could only die by the Samurai's sword and he could practically track Jack at every moment…
You know people keep saying that Aku has tracked his movements all the time but if he really has why didn't he attack Jack when Jack got brainwashed by the sirens? That would've been the best time to kill Jack and get it over with!
Hmm…Jack's was almost unrecognizable when brainwashed even by the crew in that episode. Also, some places were magically cloaked from Aku like at the Shaolin episode.
Still, Guardian vs. Aku... Guardian will lose simply b/c no power of his would defeat Aku.

Wrong. The future never showed jack defeating the guardian. It showed that jack still had to live in the future and protect the innocents for a longer period of time before he going back.
Because Aku had the power to defy destiny and change the future. This was proven in episode 6 when he had a premonition about a magic jewel that would send Jack back in time, so he turned into a sexy green chick and travelled with Jack just to destroy it.

The Guardian is my favorite. He was immortal, super strong, and was voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson.
There was probably some sort of time plot where Samurai Jack had defeated the Guardian considering that he would be alive in the past.

Toughest Opponents Jack ever faced:

1 - Imakandis. I loved their design. Wish i could see them again.

2- Minions of Set. Without the god , jack wasn't able to defeat them even with the sword. That shows how strong they were.

3- The Guardian. Without any doubt the Strongest character ever. I bet he could take down Aku if the sword was given to him. I also think he could beat any opponent jack ever faced. That's how crazy strong that guy was.

4- Demongo. Seriously if jack never went in him , he would never have been defeated. That's how powerful his ability was. Just imagine Demongo sucking up all the top tier villains that jack has defeated and using all of them at the same time against jack. That's one hell of an army.

5- Ultra-Robots. Damn i loved em all. Again if it wasn't for the gods......They were indestructible. I think they were much stronger than these Aku's daughters we have seen now since Jack has no sword.

6- The Sirens: We all know jack already lost to them. Thanks to the Scotsman for bringing Jack to his senses.
Indeed. I would also add that giant colossus robot. The first time jack fought him he almost fell to his death if it wasn't for another robot that saved him.
Arslan Ali I don't think the Guardian would be able to take out the Minions of Set. Even with Jack's sword. The Guardian wasn't the strongest foe he ever faced, the Minions were.
Minions were a pack of three while the Guardian is only a single character who already has defeated from Giants to the tiniest. Even he never considered Jack the most strongest opponent in the fight. It means he was crazy powerful. Besides he's protecting a Portal who knows what other abilities he has under his belt. Minions would all go down because of the Guardian's experience on handling every type of opponent from all the eons he spent. And that's more time then the egyptians , greeks or even Aku's appearance on Earth.
Arslan Ali 7. The Scotsman- equipped with a sword that is one of the only things immune to being destroyed by Jack's sword. He is fully equipped for a guy with the second to the highest bounty after Jack. Though he is immune to the sirens.

Then he became so powerful he took on six legendary bounty hunters at once and dispatched all of them before a drop of water could fall from an icicle and hit the ground
What about the three hunters that let him go at the end? They kept him running, avoided and predicted almost every swing of his sword, and successfully caught him.
They didnt even seem phisically tired after the half hour chase despite it being the best hunt they've ever experienced.

Tribe hunters from another planet... Minions of Set... The Scotsman was actually incredibly difficult for Jack to fight that first time. At least you covered The Guardian, but really? I can understand the robo-greasers, but the pair on the train? No. Just no.
I know! The bounty hunters on the train were more on the level of his typical opponents: easy to defeat and either barely hurt him or didn't hurt him at all.
i think Scotsman fight was even because the bridge neglected Jack’s agility advantage. Have they faced on a field I believe Jack would not have engaged in conflict, or even if so, had an advantage in agility

The Guardian will always be my favorite! He's not some bounty hunter or minion of Aku or even a villain! He's a vicious, nigh invulnerable fighter who clearly loves his job and nearly kills Jack but only after giving him several chances and warnings to leave. He had one job: stop anyone and everything from using the portal, no matter their intentions. I always imagined a scene where a fly is buzzing near the portal and just as it's about to touch it, BOOM! Guardian shoots it with a rocket with a smile on his face.😆

That western duo didn't deserve to make this list, the adamantium bots were way challenging than them, especially the Minions of Set.

And besides, these Elvis bots and the Guardian actually won in a fight, while minions of Set just gave a good fight
Cosmic Mage They can easily remove the western duo, they didn't really win. The sword didn't do jack (pun intended) against the minions of set, all he could do is defend himself from their attacks. The only thing that could could destroy them was the God, Ra. If he didn't summon him, Jack would have definitely died.
How I believe that conversation went down:
Portal: “THE HELL ARE YOU DOING, MAN?!”
Guardian: “Huh?”
Portal: “DON’T KILL THE ONE PERSON WHO CAN USE ME!”
Guardian: “Oh. I understand.”
And then the portal thinks to itself, ‘You understand. I had to _tell_ you that shit?’😑

The toughest oponents jack has ever faced in my opinon
1.The Minions Of Set: Yes I know people are going to say the guardian is the tougher oponent but come on guys.
Jack didn't even have time to react when the minions of set first attacked him. He got punched like he was being hit by an iron fist, slashed, got his shirt ripped off, and clawed and seconds. Jack then could only get one hit on ONE of them ONCE! But it literally did nothing to it because it just regenerated . Jack had no choice then but to run for his life and rely on the god set himself to destroy them. At least Jack was able to stand a chance and fight the guardian.
2. The Guardian: Definitely the toughest one jack has faced in a fair 1v1 duel with no powers. The fight itself lasted around 5 or so minutes before jack got knocked out. The guardian whipped Jacks ass embarrassingly bad.
3. The 7 Deadly Daughters: If you've watched S5 Episode 2 this shouldn't need much explaining.
4. Aku: And of course, we have Aku he would definitely be number one if it wasn't for Jacks sword being the only thing that can hurt him.

Jack still states that these creatures are more powerfull than anything he's encountered unlike the guardian were he states he's never faced a foe with such STRENGTH and SKILL.

I know a Samurai Jack game came out recently, but the show felt like a horror survival battle royale. You never knew what was gonna happen next and had to think on the spot how to handle it. Either by being stealthy or massacring hundreds of foes, Jack showed great skill and discipline. I wish they made a grim dark game similar to the aesthetics of Elden Ring but it's Samurai Jack in Aku's future, and you have to keep moving to do your quest, but dangerous things just get thrown at you and scares the living sh1t outta ya!

In the grand scheme of things they werent that much of a challenge to jack. Jack didn't have the arm strength to cut through them but once he got that robot arm to level the playing field and fight on even grounds he made quick work of almost all of them. He only got a divine power up for his sword to cut through the last one due to its adamantium coating was hard for him to cut through due to the necessary arm strength that's required, his sword was sharp enough to cut through and his skills was there pointed out by the scientist that helped created them. Jack needed something on an even playing field to fight them.

Jack vs blue morpheous was legendary
As a kid, I always wondered why these much stronger enemies never took on Aku themselves. The final season finally cleared that up, for example, in the final season, we see the remains of the Guardians teleportation/ time portal and his sunglasses destroyed, Aku also even mentions eradicating all of the time portals so that Jack could never return back to the past. So we’re left to assume that Aku easily killed the Guardian. Aku also display imperviousness to all enemy attacks during the war between him and all of Jacks friends, confirming that only Jacks sword can kill Aku once and for all. Matter of fact, the original sword may not have been enough, as Jack gets a new more powerful sword in the final season. It’s just great that the final season ended up answering so many questions in such subtle displays.
Because nothing but Jack's magic sword can legitimately damage Aku. To them it was more safe to align with Aku's wishes than defy him with no means to defend themselves

The three toughest opponents Jack has evercome across would have to be fighters he (technically) could not defeat in single, honourable, combat. That list would be, in order, Evil Jack, the Scotsman and, yes, the Guardian. Jack was only able to banish Evil Jack by not fighting him, the Scotsman fought Jack to a standstill and, as we all saw, the Guardian simply flatened him!
These are Jack's toughest opponents because never did they use devious tricks or supeior numbers against the samurai. Maybe there should be a catagory of who were the most dangerous group he fought, or bounty hunter or moster or robot or magic user, but that's not what Adult Swim titled this video as and other than the Guardian NONE OF THESE OTHER CLIPS HAVE ANY PLACE BEING HERE!

The fact that all of them completely stopped moving immedietly after the strike, and never moved or made any noise again + overall darker tone of that episode and princess'es reaction at the the end highly suggest that they are dead.

Not really, Samurai Jack had always nearly defeated him several times after another and Aku was seriously lucky enough to be in open places where he can escape.
Apart from Aku:

2. The minions of Set
3. The Scotsman

To me, the toughest opponents Jack faced were:
1- The Guardian
2- The Imakandi (Hunters)
3- The Minions of Set
4- The Ultrabots
5- The Mountain's Creatures
6- The Scotsman
I haven't watched Samurai Jack in a long time, so my memory is rusty. Could you explain who the Ultrabots and Mountain's Creatures are?
(As for the rest of the characters you brought up, I am familiar with the others you mentioned in your list.)
@@johnwalker1058 The Ultrabots were a group of special designed robots built with a metallic alloy that was so tough that Jack was unable to cut them at all without a power gauntlet and divine intervention. They are one of the few if not THE only machine enemies that ever forced Jack to retreat in terror and nearly cause him to despair and kill him.
The creatures of the mountain refers to all those various monsters Jack had faced on his journey to the summit of "the mountain of truth". He ended up so battered and broken down that he almost gave up, but again thanks to some help from some mysterious monks, he regained his drive and conquerored the mountain, its monsters, and reaffirmed his goal of destroying Aku and going back to the past.

For the creatures of the mountain, I now get what you were referring to. I don't completely remember it, but I remember he followed these three bearded guys with triangular heads (the monks). I remember bits of their motivational speech to Jack (HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN!? - referring to his people and trying to urge him to not give up on them). Also, at one point, he fought a creature that was basically an abominable snow monster.
As for the ultrabots being these robots with special alloys that Jack couldn't cut through, I remember these robots with black parts and basket-looking external parts that when they folded themselves up, they looked like ordinary baskets. Were those the ultrabots?

Now about the monks from the mountain episode. I am now curious if the monks weren't just ordinary monks, but were the three gods of the Samurai Jack universe (Ra, Odin, and Rama) in human-ish form. I think it could make sense and be an interesting way for the gods to intervene to help. After all, they intervened to help Jack's dad the first time Aku attacked their city, and as you mentioned, they intervened for Jack before to help him with the ultrabots.

Samurai Jack is one of the best cartoons shown in Cartoon network along with Justice League and Batman the animated Series. I have good memories of Samurai Jack.

The portal can tell jume events of all times, and so he can see past present, future, and possible timelines. When he says Jack can’t use the portal yet, he doesn’t mean in the further future, he means the past. This could be feasibly used to Make the Jack and Ashi shippers happy in some way or another.

The 7 daughters of Aku, I think they would tie all together with the Guardian. Remember that the Guardian said that Jack wasn't ready yet. And season 5 took place 50 years after the last episode of season 4. I'd be a good conclusion that during those 50 years (especially since he didn't age) he has become, stronger and more experienced than ever before(even without his sword). if him and the guardian fought now, I think Jack would actually win. As for those robots, I bet he'd beat them now as well. I know the guardian was brutal but I personally really hate those robots (especially the girl robot with the claws), that was twisted and irritating to watch compared to the Guardian(though he lost, the fight with the Guardian was epic). the only relief to it was that monster that saved Jack.
I'm just so glad they brought Samurai Jack back and didn't screw the animation or anything else up. Bravo!

I'm probably the only one that thought the Zombie episode was one of the best episodes and the one Jack struggled. Aku could've won had he known that pure hearts can't be killed by that sword.
