- Man this robot is op, well that's obvious since it's an upgraded version of the original Astranagant and it's piloted by Cobray fucking Gordon which for me is more skilled than Ingram. And that cut-in showing Cobray with the soul of Ingram and his hair turning blue is one of the coolest things I've ever seen in a SRW, although his face it's kinda scary in this scene. I wonder how that attack would look in an OG game, would look very gorgeous that's for sure, and lasting at least two minutes long.
That last attack lasted 1 minute and 21 seconds. That's how you know it's a SRW Original Protagonist Final Attack (trademark).
It's just a pity that much of it was boring filler.
Adding this mecha and Valzacard in the next OG game we really need these powerhouses to take down Keisar Ephes and full power Perfectio
this mecha was designed by kasuma kaneko who worked shin megami tensei thats why is so diferent from other og mechas

@Santiago Scarpino Except that Devil May Cry actually isn't a mecha series. I'm all for one on Kannazuki no Miko or Xenosaga, though.

Seriously because SRW OG Endless Frontier is in the same canon as Project X Zone Dante has technically been in SRW already lol.

Ayin Barshem made an appearance in Moon Dwellers, so Cobray is pretty much confirmed. I think a double Axion attack would be awesome, and I'd like to see more combination attacks all around using mechs with similar attacks.
I'm curious to see what they're going to do for a mecha for Cobray. Ayin has his Varuch Ben, but there is no Astranagant in OG, and the R-Gun Rivale wasn't nearly as cool.

I kind of figured it was. Either way, I'm excited for the next game which will probably involve @3 and W. I'm starting to wonder if it's going to turn out that Blessfield's 15 billion year jump to the past is going to be what set into place a ton of the major events in the OGverse. Too bad with the current timeline of releases, we probably won't have it until 2020.
Valzacard will be the most broken OG of all time. Get to watch it in glorious HD! "Drools".
Unless they intend to do W and K first and keep Alpha 3 for the game _after_ that one. Or maybe they'll do all three at once.
...I'm also rather curious about Cobray's future unit. At least it seems fairly plausible that if Ingram's soul is still drifting around space, he's going to possess Ayin sooner or later - maybe Ingram's soul somehow manifests the Astranagant and that gets mixed with Ayin's Varuch Ben.

I wouldn't consider the Dis an upgraded version of the Astranagant, it would be more like an alternative version IMO.
Yeah, I wouldn't say one is more powerful than the other.

I've heard it said that Cobray is a hero only under the right conditions. This is not a musical theme common to 'heroes.' Listening to this and seeing his mech in action, you can definitely say that there's something deeply wrong with this man.
there's a symbolism here of the Kabbalah here, as well. the final attack is also called Ain Soph Aur. "Endless Light." but to get into this, Ain Soph is the term for God before his self-manifestation, according to the lore. The Ain Soph Aur is the light that precedes from him.
Dis Astranagant hits its target with God's Light. Presumptuous? Maybe. But my God, what power...!
Cobray's final attack was chuuni but back when it was cool

Remember, a whole Ze Balmary motif itself taken from Judaism and Kaballah.

And then the really sad part is that Genesic Gaogaigar looked better on the DS.

It has nothing to do with the speed, it's the amount of effort put in. Handheld team always had more love for what they were doing despite working with less.

It is apt to say a "fair amount" of effort is consistent but W was really the only to care enough to include most of the ost tracks, things like the demon associated with genesis as a dynamic kill, and even the exhaust from the fist returning.
The fact a DS game is even comparable is shameful to @3, let alone 30 because at least has the "benefit" of being in the HD era where most animation quality tanked and is still recovering.
You are correct one is more anime accurate, but of all of them that'd probably be W.

Most of W's issues isn't the speed, but the frame rate at which it had to move to make the DS animations look smooth. Since you're new to the franchise, I can let missing that slide, however...
Im not saying Alpha 3 is Rainbows, I'm saying Alpha 3 was inferior to W as well, with 30 being mostly at the bottom because they have still yet to settle into the new animation style. At least we have decent frames per second this time, but it they tried to be at least half as anime accurate a W, objectively, then i'd be happy!
However, the FACT remains that if we're talking purely loyalty to the work W just flat wins because it has more than the barebones effort. It has animations taken from the series, it has references like the Genesis Hell and Heaven dynamic kill, and while Gaogaogar has never been fast it also didnt lumber around like 30's either, not Genesis/FInal anyway.
Also it would be nice if they at least tried to match that, not so much in content but in at least passion. Main console SRW have always been a joke animation wise compared to the effort put into handhelds(they liked L kaiser so much, 30's literally ripped sword animation off 1:1), and honestly this has been demonstrable for like, ever. They don't give a crap about music in general anymore assuming you'll custom BGM, but then switch ver exists and that just screws everybody.
It's why losing them is such a shame.
Still, if the most you can do is bring up a speed issue(which actually isn't issue since they match up rather more than modern things speed wise), then it really does make 30 even worse than Im claiming. You really shouldn't be able to compare a DS game to a ps3/4 game and say "yeah but we cant have games with the amount of effort put in to a 2000s handheld game, now can we?"
