Yvonne~I was a little skeptical when you stated at the beginning of the video that we were not using a sewing machine to put the cushion together...but after watching your sewing technique I became a believer in using the drop cloth and hand sewing method with the heavier thread/yard to achieve the "hand-sewn" look. I did enjoy watching you sew and I do like the outcome. Thank you so much for the step-by-step tutorial so I could see all the aspects of the project. I have been sewing for over 50 years and do less hand sewing as I have gotten older. Your technique offers a more vintage homemade look that looks cozier and inviting. I enjoy watching and listening to you and Chris remake some beautiful decor. Blessings!

The bench is beautiful. That was not a simple pad for the bench. I had no idea you had such incredible talent as an upholster! I’m very impressed with the outcome of the seating pad. The little stool is also a incredible upcycle. The amount of detailed work you put into it is amazing!! - all those rosettes!!!! I love the look of the rag wreath. Maybe it’s because of the drop cloth, maybe it’s because it looks shabby, I don’t know, but it’s pretty cool - love it!!

I really like the way you covered the cushion and especially the tufting, no buttons! Stitching the two pieces of fabric together in that method looks like piping but better. Patience in abundance is what it had to take to make the rosettes, something I don't have.

Saturday morning scrolling Utube n saw your video from 9 months ago. From the picture of video looked like I needed to see this. I’m sure glad I did. I’m working on making a square cushion n you showed how to make one on the bench. I loved it cuz I didn’t have to get the sewing machine out. It took me awhile to figure out how you did the sides. Remembered how you cut that 4” strip n you must of wrapped it around the cushion. Gonna start on it today. But really got me was that stool. OMG how awesome it turned out. A little time consuming but well worth the time. I’ve never seen anything like this n I LOVE IT! I hope you kept that sweet stool for yourself. To precious to sell. Really like the wreath n if I have any extra drop cloth I’m gonna try my hand at that too. Your so inspiring n very creative.

Yvonne, I love that stool those roses set it of, because its all hand done you should ask $50 for it. I know you won't and it is up to you because you know what they will pay but that is definitely hand crafted. Its stunning 😍
Love the bench to its beautiful the way you did the stitching is so beautiful and rustic, I have made a rag wreath for fall from Teresa at omg I forgot the name, im loosing my mind but you know who I'm talking about. You have outdone yourself. The rosettes have become my favorite thing I've seen on TH-cam, Replacing your use of antiquing wax over black paint. I have never seen rosettes used on upholstery before. Your stool looks beautiful. I also love the way you are so meticulous with your projects, no matter how small the item. I am amazed at how many TH-cam channels don't seem to notice that their framed items don't look like they blend with the frames they use, I love the way you take the time to add a little paint or antiquing to get colors that are consistent. Beautiful.
