- LG OLED65G45LW mounted on a double plaster wall with no studs to use. I mount TVs for a living and have mounted lots of LG G1,G2 and G3 and finally the G4 has started arriving. We asked the costumer if we could please film the mounting and the costumer said yes. So here it is. More videos of wall mounting coming soon. Thanks for the video. I'm getting my G4 next week. One question: when the TV was hanging, did you click two more brackets behind it? What are they for?
Hi. They are just for locking the tv to the wall mount. They only click in place when the Tv is correctly mounted on the bracket.

What is the optimal distance from the bottom edge of the TV to the floor considering a sofa with a seat height of 38cm? Thank you
Hi. It depends on how far you are seated from the TV and how you are seated, I always mark the top and bottom of the TV on the wall with stickers before we start, the costumers always find that helpful.
For a double plaster wall can I also use Fisher Duotec? Of would you recommend Fisher Duopower? Does it make a difference?
Hi. Easier to use Duopower. But you can use both.
Can you confirm for certain that the 65" comes with the wall mount? RTINGs claims that the 65" does not come with it, although the 77" and above do.
Hi. Yes. I have mounted many of these over the years in all sizes. I have never experienced that wall mount is not in the box.
@@oslotvmontering Thank you for the confirmation. I did a bit more research, and apparently, the North American version of the LG G4 does not come with slim wall mount for their 55" and 65" models. 'Tis a shame. You have to buy it separately, and stock can be scarce.

Hei. Kommer an på om det er 1 eller 2 lag med gips. Pluggene i videoen heter Duopower, skruene er fra Biltema.
Does the Samsung S95D get closer to the wall and produce a better look?
Also, I'm guessing if you want to hide the cables in the wall, its much more difficult with the G4 than the OneConnect box and the hole in the wall has to be in a specific place right?
Hi. The G4 is closer to the wall. The hole in the wall can be anywhere behind the TV on both LG and Samsung.
@@oslotvmontering Really? So there is space for wires to be routed between the TV and the wall for both LG and Samsung? I thought the TV sat flush against the wall.
@@MuhammadRehanSaeed Hi. On Samsung Yes on LG they have made room some places behind the TV. Only LG is 100% flush against the wall.

Hi. Unfortunately no. The G1 wall mount is a little bit different than the G4.

What did you use instead, fisher duopower? What size if I may ask?
Hi. No stud. This was a double plaster wall, on a double fischer duopower is great. Do not use this on a single plaster wall. I use 8x40 in the video.

@@lailanis1 I would feel comfortable dong that, but dont recommend others doing it, one small mistake and the TV will fall down.
@@oslotvmonteringin my local store homedepot they don't have fischer brand but have hillton but for the 40mm length it comes in 10mm diameter, is that good? 8mm is available but comes but shorter 25mm
Can you please share the exact spec of the anchors you used. I just got a 65 inch G4 and i want to wall mounted. My wall is a sheetrock, 1 layer i believe. Thanks.
Hi. If you have one layer of sheetrock you should not use the plugs in this video, they are for double layer only. The name of them is Fischer Duopower.

Hi. Yes.
I have a LG 65G4 waiting to put up on a single layer plaster wall. Mount will be exactly in between two metal studs so mount will be just against plaster. Do you still recommend just 4 screws?

@@oslotvmontering only difference I see is that although you don’t screw wall mount to the stud, there is a metal stud between left and right screws of the wall mount. Mine will not have any metal stud within the length of the wall mount, the wall mount will be exactly in between two metal studs. Will that have an effect on the strength of the wall? Would you still only recommend 4 screws?
@@ruiengana I always use 4 screws on this mount, no matter the size of the tv or what kind of wall it is, always 4 screws. You dont need more. I mounted the G4 65" again earlier today, and again 4 screws.

Hi. I very common question when mounting this TV. Only 4 screws on a plaster wall. Because of the small size of the wall mount more than 4 screws will actually make the wall weaker.
My G3 TV is mounted on the wall, and I wanted to pull it away from the wall to connect HDMI as it is flush against it, how can I do that?

Hi. Put your hand in the top middle of the TV (where the wall mount is) and pull it against you.

@@lailanis1 Hi. This was a fire wall, here a fire wall is just 2 layers of plaster, 2 layers is much stronger than 1 layer. Should be the same in US..
Can a drywall/plasterboard hold up a LG G4 77?
Hi. I dont recommend it. If you do anything wrong it will fall down. I have done it myself several times. As long as you know what you are doing it's possible.
