Convoke cards seem like an interesting addition for a Lulu deck, Venerated Loxodon would fit pretty well, might even be her mother!

When I saw this video I was excited because Lulu is one of my favorite commanders. I was surprised because my background I have for her has not been mentioned anywhere in the video or comment so far. I use far traveler with her for a mono white. I have a holy theme for it with a bunch of clerics, angels, god's etc. And I have a focus on flickering, various creatures and an out with most creatures either having an EBT or a trigger of when something else comes into play
Been watching for awhile now, really appreciate the enthusiasm you always bring to every video, and the work you put into all of them. Thanks for being a great creator, Demo.
So cool to see you mention Lulu! Also my favourite! I first built a selesnya shell using counters just because my partner thought it'd be fun. I am now building her in a Boros shell making use of the untap ability on a bunch of sweet legends!

Lulu is very cool and I think it just seems very unassuming. This set had so many good uncommons that are easy to overlook and it takes a lot more work to pair a Commander and a background than to just see a busted commander like Korvold and build it. But I think Lulu is one of the coolest and works great in the 99 a lot of times as well
A card you didn't mention for the Orzhov option, Felisa Fang of Silverquil. She doesn't have a tap ability but she does have Mentor for attacking and also whenever your nontoken creatures with counters on them die, you get inklings equal to the number of counters. She's the commander for my Silverquil deck.
She's also an amazing commander for modular decks!
I was playing a Zabaz with a Modular theme deck, which I then changed to Lulu with Guild Artisan as a background. After play testing, I really enjoyed how much Lulu could add value but tapping to attack while most modular creatures are small made my board state feel vulnerable to blocks so since I’ve switched to Alibou who has removal stapled on as an attack trigger, that has felt like an excellent evolution with Lulu in the 99.

YOOOO I run this commander! I have a Lulu/Haunted One deck, incredible angel tribal deck with great built in recursion. So happy to see her here x
I love Lulu's lore in D&D (I even have a plush of her) and have been brewing various ideas for her over the past year. My favorite background is candlekeep sage, but I love seeing all of the various options. One day I may also try angel tribal with haunted one.
Lulu//Veteran Soldier vehicles... just so dang fun. Tokens help crew vehicles, and there's also sac outlets available in white and artifacts, like Fanatical Devotion and Blasting Station.
Commander creatures you own have “At the beginning of your end step, if a creature card was put into your graveyard from anywhere this turn, create two tapped 1/1 green Squirrel creature tokens.” Cloakwood Hermit was made for her.
So does it trigger at the same time as the commander trigger?
My favorite build I ran recently during a commander draft was a Boros, Myriad and goad deck. The copies made by myriad trigger Lulu's ability and it was fantastic to play. Using the popular entertainer background.
Because of the need to tap my first thought was using vehicles as it allows you to get the counters on creatures the same turn they enter the battlefield without having to give them haste.
My background for this commander is Scion of Hallaster. The deck likes to make lots of expendable 1/1 tokens and treasures. I have some convoke cards and cards that allow me to sacrafice.
I don't play a ton of magic but its the most fun deck i have used yet(:
You could also mix it with the blue background "Candlekeep Sage" and make it a blink deck. Then you just blink your commander, draw two cards and trigger its ability
I used to play Lulu with Clan Crafter as the background so that I had access to all the blue and white blink effects while also having a way to make permanents leave the battlefield AND add +1/+1 counters in the command zone. It was pretty fun.
I have a super fun Locust God, Wheel deck that I think you would love as its both fun to play and super agro. lot's of draw, lots of creatures, and a hint of control.
Lulu also works with Blink style shenanigans. They leave the battlefield, then you get them back.
I built Lulu as a derpy Angel commander in Selesnya 'cause my group thought, my tribal Angel deck was too powerful.. then Lulu went on to win some games.. 🤣
I dont know if I'm sold on Lulu but it reminded me of an artillery themed deck I was noodingl around with using the boros Dean of Chaos/Order that gives you an extra untap, and pair it with cards like Orcish Cannoneer, Heavey Arbaelist and Powerstone Minefield. Lulu would go great in there!
The cult of Lulu isn't something I considered, but I love it

i dont think he mentions this but as your background a really good one for this deck could be Far Traveler, allowing you to blink a tapped creature and bring it back at your end step
Yeah LuLu is adorable. Azorious control with a flying/artifact theme is cool.
Boros with a treasure/equipment/voltron theme.
Selesnya with a go wide tokens and +1/+1 counters theme.
And of course orzhov with an aristocratic +1/+1 counters theme are all fun ways to play this commander. And with white having access to token doublers, same as green, possibly the most explosive combination of colors is green/white. Ramp early into lulu and build a board state, then add counters to creatures and get mana with either Cryptolith Rite or Jiang Yanggu Wildcrafter to give all creatures with counters the ability to make mana. Fun commander.
I just built a pauper commander deck with Lulu and candlekeep sage.. haven’t actually played it yet, but it sure seems fun to flicker everything… also first flicker deck
When I first saw Lulu I thought it was just a go wide aggro commander. Completely missed the part where it untaps the creatures. I've been wanting to make a white (no green) untap style deck for a while now. Currently using Triad of Fates but may be swapping to Lulu. Great video!

I built this deck for my mother and used the Cloakwood Hermit Background. If you haven't seen the multiple Arnold Schwarzenegger and Lulu videos, search them out. I love the kitchen episode with "mah' ohtmeeel coohkeez" and Whiskey. Whiskey got its name from an old comedy western movie Arnie did in 1979 called Villian.
The Absolute Cult of Lulu - love i! Might have to noodle on the Lull, the Rebel Ollyphant deck - great idea!
Vehicles work to get your board tapped down without any real downside. Blinking, returning to hand, exile abilities that transform, battles and tucking work for leaving the battlefield too.
Lulu and popular entertainer was a deck I ran for a while. I kept making 1/1 creatures with haste to make sure that they were easy to block. I was so desperate to stay away from the treasure token theme cos I have a prosper deck too.

I am building an wb rebel deck with him as a commander and criminal past as a background. I chose criminal past over other black backgrounds not for deck building or strategy reasons, but mainly because.. It's so fun. I mean, a flying elephant with a dark, untold past😂😂 just thinking about it makes me chuckle
I pulled Lulu on a commander draft, and I was surprised with how much this card dominated. I immediately fell in love with the guy.
I’m working on a Lulu deck that’s persist/sacrifice themed! It uses Master chef and sacrifice outlets to get infinite etbs with persist creatures or using cauldron of souls to give a normal creature persist.
Lulu with Cultist of the Absolute has become one of my favorite decks of the last few years. It's such an unassuming beater on commander damage that also goes wide with tokens. It's great.
Built her with some red a little while ago. Great deck, great games, good feelings from my opponents facing her. :)
Flickering Ward would satisfy the "leaves the battlefield" trigger every turn for a W + W
Luru! I have a Luru/Guild Artisan that is tribal tap out as its theme (creatures that tap to do things), and I love this deck.
Lulu is amazing! Lulu/Guild Artisan treasure build with Phoenix Tribal is my setup.
I have a crazy idea. Not sure how many creatures are in these colors but something like Vona, Butcher of Magan, you can attack, then tap it for the abilties and then it still gets untapped at the end of the turn. Crazy synergy.

Built a Boros Lulu deck with Guild Artisan its pretty fun. People get scared when the tapped creatures untap and grow.
I wanted to build this deck focused mostly on using activated abilities of creatures multiple times a turn but I was struggling to find a bunch of them.
7:34 I don’t think the sacrifice from the cultist of the absolute will trigger Lulu since the permanent must have already left the battlefield at the beginning of the end step for Lulu to trigger.
I had a small itch to make a deck with this commander and this video definitely makes me to at least make a deck list
Personally, I just love the idea of this cuddly wuddly elephant being a secret cultist and would build the deck for that alone.

I use it the 99 on my Adeline. If a token has been blocked and died, she untaps all the others and pumps them.
