Hi, there! The shelves that they provided are definitely adequate but nothing too special, to be honest. They are just slices of half inch or 3/4 inch plywood, which is very strong! I don't usually put wet ware on them but I do use them for holding ware that is leather hard and then bone dry. Also I have some sheets of plastic that I have layered over each shelf so that the moisture does not compromise the shelves at all. Has been working out great and I think you'll love it!
