Perhaps his story is not the most original, or the most elaborate, but the narrative (the most important in a story) was SO high for his time, there is no comparison, the development of his characters. Its mechanics ... Doing all that with things that existed before, and recycling elements from movies like "children of men" or "the road", only makes it even better. In short, the last of us is one of the best video games in history for this and MUCH MORE THINGS

I think during the PS3 era we peaked in terms of graphics, good storytelling and great gameplay all at the same time. Yes, we still have great 7th gen games today, but far less than during the 6th gen. After PS4 and Xbox One was released l think developers started focusing way too much on the online multiplayer part of games, and if they were creating story-driven games, most of them spent way too much time on the open-world part, because 7th gen consoles were first true consoles capable of open world, and developers completely forgot that what makes games great is story, gameplay and then open world or graphics. A great is example is Batman Arkham City vs Batman Arkham Knight, one is linear with worse graphics and is not open world, the other is open world with better graphics, but if you ask 10 people which one they think was better, 9 out of 10 will tell you that Arkham City was better. Why is that? Exactly because people value storytelling way more, pacing of the game, as well as gameplay. Arkham Knight wasn't a bad game by any means, but it wasn't even close to Arkham City exactly because the open world part was the primary focus and story was secondary. Graphics didn't necessarily help the game, since it was expected of the next-gen game to look better. Just take a look at the next Batman game called Gotham Knights coming out sometime next year for PS5, XBOXSX and PC, and tell me if you are excited for that game at all?
Elijah Dunkin I would definitely only IF Sony would enable backwards compatibility to the games I want such as Call of Duty 2&3, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Star Wars The Force Unleashed and others. Right now I don't see that happening. The PS Now service is very expensive at £12.99 per month which offers older PS3 games but even if my games are on there the subscription is expensive. And Sony gets hacked every so often.
We had two ps3's since 2018 and no one dared to play because we just didn't feel like doing so. Quarantine led me to looking for alternative ways to gaming which also led me to this video. I did a research on different gaming consoles and I regret the years we have the ps3 but not using it. Thanks for the vid 😊

I think I really just had high expectations for Infinite. I really liked the first two and all the build up hype from the 1 or 2 years before it came out, it was just a huge let down for me. Plus GTA 5 has tons of replay value, Infinite has 0 replay value.

Elijah Dunkin I would definitely only IF Sony would enable backwards compatibility to the games I want such as Call of Duty 2&3, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Star Wars The Force Unleashed and others. Right now I don't see that happening. The PS Now service is very expensive at £12.99 per month which offers older PS3 games but even if my games are on there the subscription is expensive. And Sony gets hacked every so often.

I think I really just had high expectations for Infinite. I really liked the first two and all the build up hype from the 1 or 2 years before it came out, it was just a huge let down for me. Plus GTA 5 has tons of replay value, Infinite has 0 replay value.
