I got it in the morning and more than halfway into building an iOS app in swift, it really is better than cursor in my opinion, I did two projects with same prompt and cursor gave me a sloppy work with like 50 bugs, windsurf was able to analyze everything in my directory even run commands with one single chat
@@olesgamingkanal343 definitely, as you progress your project gets bigger and cline eventually going to hit that token limit, Cline is better if you want to fix few specific files of your code, getting a full stack website or app going to be difficult on the tokens
Wait, cursor also have composer which you can add related files so the AI can do many task base from the context of those input files. Cursor can also detect the related files base from my request and work with them. So... Windsurf did this better, I do feel abit annoy when I have to specific the files that relate to my problem. if Windsurf can access to all the source code in the project. What would be a big win imo
Seems to run multiple dev servers in the background which takes up lots of space. Best to run it in the terminal yourself then let the bot continue to work while you monitor and continue to code yourself. Mac ran out of storage realized WindSurf was using lots of GBs other than that I really like it. Almost too good…
very intersting. just tried it since I was curious about the multifile editing But on my first couple tests there were alot of unintended changes the editor makes ... I asked it to add 1 simple example method to 2 files but it contiually changes alot of things I didnt ask for and made a couple breaking code mistakes. This does not work for me .. ( Basically alot of formatting random lines for no reason :D )
bro i gotta tell you its awsum! way better than cursor! that's garbage! so easy and convenient and it actually know when you want to modify somethings!
