In this sequel to Pitch Perfect, the collegiate a cappella group called the Barden Bellas enter into an international competition which they are told is impossible to win because they are Americans. I never knew they actually spoke German in this scene, because I watched the whole movie in German and this scene was completely translated as well, so I didn't even knew that Beca said a ca wiedersehen and the other German sentences. It's funny to see it in English. I sometimes hate to live in a counrty where you have to watch everything with translation.

@mert Yes we do have that. But we also have our own translation for english movies. And why does it not make sence. An example is frozen. How do litttle chilren read undertitles?

As a German (watching the movie in English) I was so confused with the name "Das Sound machine", since "the machine" is actually "die Maschine" in German, so the band should have (if grammatically correct) called "die sound machine". Secondly I wondered about their pronounciation, as well the German and English one (Fat Amies sentence was way better pronounced than any of the guy). And at last, I was suprised by how often they struggled for words...in Germany, we learn English as well as we can, have to write analysis and essays in english, discuss political and economically events and partly even speaking english in our freetime. I myself am average in English, I would say, and I can read sophisticated novels with barely looking certain words up...
the movie where I felt like the antagonist is deserving to win.
