In my opinion no. For one reason. This game throws so much BS at you why not exploit it here and there? Aside from the occasional time you get those cheap steals, you play Franchise very fair and realistic. But I wouldn’t mind the rule either. I just like to get back at the sim
Love to see a new franchise series. For the contract years thing maybe do like give or take a year or two that way you still have a bit of flexibility. Love the videos as always man!
It’s crazy how I just started a CBJ franchise mode like 5 hours ago and you start one at the same time😂 Also, I don’t know why but if you give Kirill Marchenko 2nd line nhl minutes when he’s at least 83-84 OVR he grows like a weed, mine went from 84 OVR to 91 OVR in the span of 1 year
I mean that’s what he pretty much did in real life to the point where we had to drop him back to 4th line and cut his minutes so he wouldn’t score too much and get rid of our chances for Bedard
You should do a nhl 14 franchise series. it’s so refreshing to go back and experience the best era of nhl games. (Plus it also has the best soundtrack of all time)
Chinakov got a 1 year 1 way 800K deal on April 4th. So... you were more generous than the real Blue Jackets. there are a few decent-ish Ohio-born players. You know, if you ever wanted to bring them home so to speak. including J.T. Miller, Dylan Duke, Alex Nedeljkovic, the Sherwood brothers, Jansen Harkins... You already have Cole Sillinger, Jack Roslovic, and Carson Meyer under contract. Owen Sillinger, while being Cole's older brother, wasn't born in Columbus like Cole was. I believe he was born in Regina. Kuzmenko was ruled out for Calder contention because he turned 26 before September 15th, 2022. He was born February 4th, 1996.... so he was about 7 months too late. However, in game sometimes he is listed as a rookie, sometimes not.
I like it when you make great deals of 8yrs of 1mil then they grow to be mid-high 80’s because it makes room to get superstars so you can compete for the cup
Going to make this mention again, seeing as you forgot during the Edmonton series, GET COLE FONSTAD for the AHL team. Always been a solid player for me, he can grow into a reliable 3rd/4th line NHL player as well.
Glad to see your taking your viewers feedback like the only give the amount of year a player is asking for. Again I would suggest not being able to trade players you get from free agency (or at least stars) as you really never see that happen irl except for one years like Klingberg for example. Overall don’t stop with these Franchise mode series, I enjoy choosing the same team as you and see if I can do better.
I like the rule of resigning guys to the years they want as a young players would never take a long deal for no money. Also what an insane draft.. Holy crap
THANK YOU for the contract length thing. Pretty much anything you can do then makes it more realistic is welcome. PS Maybe you could get Swayman out of Boston since they're riding Ullmark so hard.
I like the new rule, but maybe allow yourself +/- 1 year on their desired contract. That’s more realistic imo. You can convince a guy for 1 extra year with some extra cash, probably not 6.
Actually the Habs missed the most man games due to injury and it’s not even close. At the end of season the press box had more players then the team had playing
So pumped for this one especially since you have bedsy (that draft was INSANE)! I don't like the exact years on contract rule, i think you should have a few years of leeway but you will have to pay the asking price or higher. I don't think you need a concrete rule, just keep it reasonable.
Also, my guy Cole Clayton is a defensemen on the Cleveland Monsters, he's like AHL potential but he's an absolute beauty and lit up the WHL on Med Hat in his over-age season there. Could be cool to see him on the bottom pair only if you have no good potential guys to play over him :)
I like that new rule where you can’t sign young guys for 8 years. Although I think it’s fine to sign better young guys long term as that’s what happening in the nhl eg: Zegras, Hughes, Suzuki, caulfield. It’s kinda hard to pick and choose which guys but I think you should be able to sign guys like this ^ long term even if you know they’re gonna be good.
For the contract years, I'd suggest giving them the years they want only in their RFA years or 1 more or 1 less year during the RFA years. UFA FAs can say no if they want to you should be able to offer whatever you want
one stipulation for the contract length should be in free agency. for example, if you wanna bring in a big time free agent but it only makes sense for one year, you should do it. like if you wanna sign some guy for one year at 11 million to compete for one year and then let him go the year later to keep more players, it should be allowed
I think you should be aloud to change the contract length the players are wanting… it makes it more of a realistic negotiation… and if there’s a steal it’s a bonus
There was a rule that 2bc did if you sign a player with the years he wants you can change the price but you can go 1 year below or above but you would have to overpay If you want to do that that's up to you
I like the rule for years wanted in signing but I’d allow yourself to move it at least 2 years up or down if it’s like 4 or 5+ years wanted, and under 4 you can only go up or down 1
The fact you have the red wings higher rated than the Sabres is so funny.. what makes the red wings better please tell me I’ll wait cause it’s literally nothing at all
For contracts you should be able to adjust it one year either way. That way you can get some players a little longer instead of just giving them what they want.
Cool thing from my life is I actually grew up playing against Mateychuk and with him one year. The year I played with him I was the teams goalie and our teams top d pair was Owen Pickering and Denton Mateychuk
with all that cap space, why don't you sign the top FAs available and then trade them for first round picks? I do it all the time and it works out nice
I don’t like the rule. Some people ask for way to much and that’s why you get steals. IRL people take discounts for long term. Guys like Nick Paul. You should be able to get steals if you can
I think you should be able to give players as many years as you want within reason, just should be you making a judgement call on what you think is realistic
Hope you guys are excited for this CBJ Rebuild! Should I keep the contract length rule??
BEDSYY
In my opinion no. For one reason. This game throws so much BS at you why not exploit it here and there? Aside from the occasional time you get those cheap steals, you play Franchise very fair and realistic. But I wouldn’t mind the rule either. I just like to get back at the sim
Hey can you do minnesota after? (Because they were 2nd)
For contrat you should be able to do 1 more year for a cheaper Aav or 1 less year for a raise. Would give you better flexibility
That’s who I did a franchise with and got shafted in the draft lottery but still ended up with Carlsson
CBJ getting Bedard in Tac’s franchise mode and IRL, LET’S GO.
Start a franchise mode, we’d all watch
Haha if Detroit doesn't get him I'm fine with CBJ
@@TacTixHD Chicago?!?! Him and Taylor rad dash would be wild
Pls draft lottery be good for Canucks! CBJ better not get Bedard!
Next vid u should only trade with teams who missed the playoffs that would be cool! 😊
Dude you don’t understand I have been waiting my whole life for someone to do a jackets playthrough. What a day.
Let's goooo! Thanks Asher :)
Love to see a new franchise series. For the contract years thing maybe do like give or take a year or two that way you still have a bit of flexibility. Love the videos as always man!
Yea be able to move it up or down one. So if they ask for 4 years you can do 3,4, or 5
It’s crazy how I just started a CBJ franchise mode like 5 hours ago and you start one at the same time😂

By far my favorite series on TH-cam rn keep up the great work man!
Thanks so much Logan!
Been a long suffering Jackets fan lol, great to see you trying to bring them back to life
You should do a nhl 14 franchise series. it’s so refreshing to go back and experience the best era of nhl games. (Plus it also has the best soundtrack of all time)

I’ve waited a long for a CBJ rebuild and finally it’s here 🎉
I like it when you make great deals of 8yrs of 1mil then they grow to be mid-high 80’s because it makes room to get superstars so you can compete for the cup
Been waiting for this for a while, let’s go! 🔥
Always love these franchise mode videos
Thank you!

This is a spit in the face to the Flyers franchise, if you want to make up for this DO THE FLYERS NEXT SERIES!
“we can take this guy who could be good or we can take this guy with the funny name”
for contracts I would do a 1-2 year gap for what the player wants, for example if a player wants 2 years you could give them 1 or 3 years, or 2
i don’t even know a lot about hockey but i been locked in for so many years
Bro, that Skinner trade. Cmon, that made no sense what so ever. Happy that didnt went through
YES A NEW FRANCHISE MODE! Trade johnny hockey, for prospects or picks.
What a DRAFT, holy smokes
I respect these videos more now that you don’t do long term rookie deals. It’s more realistic. Good video
Columbus was actually 4th in least a.ount of man games missed . Where as Montreal had the most man games missed this season .
I feel like its been a while since you got first ovl pick on your franchise mode series so happy
Glad to see your taking your viewers feedback like the only give the amount of year a player is asking for.

I like the rule of resigning guys to the years they want as a young players would never take a long deal for no money. Also what an insane draft.. Holy crap
ngl i don't mind you signing ppl for league min for 8 years, that allows u to make huge moves in signing/draft/trade which are cool :D
YESSSSSSSS CBJ FINALLY!!!
Actually the Habs missed the most man games due to injury and it’s not even close. At the end of season the press box had more players then the team had playing
With the contract rule I think you should be able to drop it by 1 year or add 1 year to what they’re asking
Or if they’re asking for $7m 1 year $14m 8 years you can offer the one year deal
Nasher is proud of you Tac
Yeeees! Finally my team! Let's gooo!
LETS GOOOOO

Favourite Chel TH-camr. This video is a banger per usual

Nasher jumpscare😭
1.20 in and my guess is that 40 games in he trades for vets to win the cup
For the contract years, I'd suggest giving them the years they want only in their RFA years or 1 more or 1 less year during the RFA years. UFA FAs can say no if they want to you should be able to offer whatever you want

That's cheesing the system and not realistic at all tbh
I have been last for 2 years with san jose... I have picked 3rd both times
Would love to see a jets series next
The Nasher LetsGo 💀
Connor Bedard does sound like he'll fit perfectly in Columbus, both in TacTix's Franchise mode and IRL NHL.
BANGER!
Facts
what roster do you use?
I think you should be aloud to change the contract length the players are wanting… it makes it more of a realistic negotiation… and if there’s a steal it’s a bonus
Nest vid u should trade with teams who missed the playoffs! 😊
Maybe just no 8 year deals at the start before someone gets good but free agency you gotta work with the years
There was a rule that 2bc did if you sign a player with the years he wants you can change the price but you can go 1 year below or above but you would have to overpay
If you want to do that that's up to you

Columbus is a great choice for a team in need of a rebuild. I’m attempting to do the same with the Flyers.
Seems like season went exactly like planned
I saw Tactix in person the other day on a date with Gisele Bundchen. It looked like it was going well
LMAO!
Idk how but with tarasov he went from a 77 up to an 81 in one season. I guess he is a starter high for me so it’s kinda obvious it would happen.
For contracts you should be able to adjust it one year either way. That way you can get some players a little longer instead of just giving them what they want.
as far as signing young players to those great 8 year deals..if they ask for 4 years you can go 1 year up only OR go less years depending on players
Cool thing from my life is I actually grew up playing against Mateychuk and with him one year. The year I played with him I was the teams goalie and our teams top d pair was Owen Pickering and Denton Mateychuk
Who’s Owen Pickering?
@@Onlythreee Penguins prospect, plays for Swift Current in the WHL
@@Onlythreee 2022 21st overall pick by Penguins
Don't forget to give johnson his extension
did I miss Svozil or he is not in the game?
Which roster has Michkov? I didnt see him on draft 2023 in my career
Can't wait for this!
Not a fan of keeping the years the same but maybe just not being able to make extensions 3-4 years give or take from what the wants
TactixHD > Thrash94Gaming 👍👍
how'd the leafs get 25th in the league while adding Dumba and more
All I ask is you please keep sillinger 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Let's go second favorite team
Can you try a blackhawks franchise next
with all that cap space, why don't you sign the top FAs available and then trade them for first round picks? I do it all the time and it works out nice
Montreal 781 missed match by regular player in the NHL
He has returned
Let's gooo
try moving laine to the left wing, he’s a righty with one tee so he’ll get way more opportunities to shoot
We need a editor for player tactics now I'm so tired of playmakers and snipers with crash the net
First 23 Franchise with an American team!
Oh wow I didn't even realize that!
Channel hero Sidney Crosby gave props to Justin Danforth after playing a few games against him.
Let's gooooo
montreal has to have the most injuries this year
If I remember correctly I believe CBJ had 590 man games missed with injury and the next closest was Montreal with abt 309
Montreal had the most amount.
You picked me in the draft apparently
Did anyone see an 88 on the 4th line in the ahl?????
You should give bedard c/rw
I don’t like the rule. Some people ask for way to much and that’s why you get steals. IRL people take discounts for long term. Guys like Nick Paul. You should be able to get steals if you can
For the contract year rules you have, I think it would be better if you are only allowed to add 1 year or go down 1 year
You should be allowed to add or remove 2 years since players may be willing to change a bit
Avs had the most man games missed and still won the Central #goavsgo
I think you should be able to give players as many years as you want within reason, just should be you making a judgement call on what you think is realistic
I really hope Columbus gets Bedard would be really great for the franchise.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen you check line fits? Chemistry doesn’t mean as much if they don’t fit the lines so do give it a try.
WOOOOOOOOO
Do ducks next franchise maybe? Or wild
Why would your ever try and trade for Jeff Skinner and his contract. WOW
Really hoping Bedard lands in cbj...franchise in need of a star. Him and gauderu would be so much fun to watch...
Please keep trey fix wolanski whole sim!!!!
can u do a roster update video? not sure if u updated it
Has anyone done a Dallas Stars rebuild?
Do the jets next please
