How about a setup for the DHS790 Flexvolt saw?
@@SuperWingman69 I had someone on IG wonder the same thing. I make a Dust Collection Throat Plate for the 779/780 already, and am working on figuring out if it will fit the DHS. It looks like it might!
Any plans for the 10" Bosch?
Been fighting this battle for years and will be trying THIS one for sure!
Brilliant solution, dude! Really well done! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thanks
Pretty Please, try to do a throat plate for the 718 (I know, I know - I asked you last year about trying to add that model and recognize you need one to model from). But love this product design, so just hopeful you keep the 718 on your 'tickle' list. 😁
Mind sharing info on that shopvac hose you have connected to your saw? Does that have any particular anti-static properties to it? EDIT: Nevermind, just noticed on rewatching you point out it's a Festool hose...
I'll have to watch this one. If one ends up fitting on a Hercules 12" miter saw, I would definitely jump on it!
Any hope for Fesstool 10" miter saw dust collection?
Make one for Bosch? Looks similar to their upgrade with just a larger flap, but this seems a better shape and surround of cut.
@@Wayne--O We just released a Dust Collection Throat Plate for GCM12SD. What model saw are you talking about? I’m curious now!
@@InspireWoodcraft Nice. That one. I have a pattern a guy put out a few years ago to try. If not satisfied with that I'll buy yours. Thanks!
I assume the throat plate will get chewed up with bevel / compound cuts. Do you recommend switching plates back and forth when doing these cuts?
Any plans to make boots & kits for the DW715?
@Michelle/-Eden I have been told by customers both through email and reviews that the Upgraded Boot with the Replacement Bracket will work on the DW715, but I have not tried it personally. I would poke around on both our website (inspirewoodcraft.com/products/upgraded-dust-collection-boot-for-dewalt-dw716-dws716-miter-saws) and Etsy and see what others say (www.etsy.com/listing/1642299906/upgraded-dust-collection-boot-dewalt?click_key=7444fb5bb75986411e3f78d40d20b01317cb99cc%3A1642299906&click_sum=2444fac7&ref=shop_home_active_3&frs=1&crt=1)
What are the filament requirements for the 3d printer?
@@billmateosky7339 You mean to print your own? I believe the files are set up to print with a .4 nozzle, I want to say .20 or .24 layer height and I always use PETG. I think all of that is in the item description on the website, but I know for a fact it’s in the instructions.
I’d be interested in getting an adapter for the Harbor Freight 12” model. For those of us who cannot afford the Dewalt saws.
Kapex 120!
This looks awesome!!! Will you be making versions for other brands? cough Bosch cough
Kapex?..cough.
@mitchblackmore5230 We do have the GCM12SD Dust Collection Throat Plate available for preorder now (inspirewoodcraft.com/products/bosch-gcm12sd-axial-glide-dust-collection-throat-plate). Short install video (th-cam.com/users/shortscEhPI0LcT8A)
@ It's on the list! Might do the 12" Makita next and then the Kapex. I have to get rid of a bunch of saws first because I'm running out of room in the shop!
@@InspireWoodcraft Sweet!!! Please tell me you ship to Canada?
@@InspireWoodcraft Never mind. I just went on your site and saw that you do. Nice. I'll be ordering one as soon as my shop reconfig is done.
Any plans to make this for the DWS779/780?
@timothywhite6532 I have the dust collection throat plate at inspirewoodcraft.com/products/dewalt-dws779-780-dust-collection-upgrade-kit. Also have an install video th-cam.com/video/Cjg1Wtv2tw4/w-d-xo.html
I sure wish you'd design this product for the 12" Delta Cruzer/Ridgid R4251 Miter Saws. I have been trying so many methods to clean up my saws dust collection.
It's on the list, but that's a tough one because I have to get both saws since they may be different in the blade trough. I only have so much room in the shop!
I believe ShopNation has something for those saws?
Please contact me when you get the rear guard and boot made for the DWS 780. I have watched the video on the the throat plate that you have made for it, which I think is excellent, but I’m actually wanting to purchase the whole system. Well, I lied. I really need to purchase two of them. I know there are other systems available on the market for the rear guard, but I was truly wanting to use yours. I really like the design. Are you planning on doing this or should I just purchase the throat plate from you and then do something else for the rear guard?
I probably ought to explain the reason I need two of them is on my 10 or 11 year-old 780 I had a pretty violent kickback when I was making a project and it actually destroyed the rear guard so no big deal. I just got online and looked up The replacement parts for that particular unit that’s when I discovered that they are no longer available so I ended up buying the other unit. I really like the saw but I absolutely despise the dust collection. I wanna thank you either way you decide to go. I think it’s the best thing that has ever been put on a Dewalt.
@billhaughenberry2917 Honestly, I don't think I am going to continue pursuing the behind-the-blade unit for the 780. There is some pretty complicated geometry that is going on back there to make something that doesn't have the inherent "problems" that other designs have, and I just don't have the time to dedicate to it. I didn't even try on the Bosch, which I had originally planned on doing. I just made the Throat Plate for it.
Will this fit/work with the DeWalt DW706?
@@donternes7160 There are some reviews on the website and I believe on Etsy that say that the parts for the DW716 work. You would have to look around and read the reviews though to see what modifications need to happen. I haven’t tried it personally.
How about a kit for the Bosch gcm8sde please.
I have a rigid 10” dual bevel miter saw. Do you have a kit that fits this machine?
Will any of these fit the DW713?
@tomm2519 Not that I am aware of.
Do you know if this works with the cordless model?
@@tighecrovetti2844 I don’t know yet, but I’m working on it! I assume you mean the DCS?
Ever consider that Metabo 12" slider, C12RSH2? I know I'd definitely pick one up for that.
@TheLostVector I can put it on the list! No promises though. I can only produce so much and I'm kind of going off most requested right now.
Are these adaptable to the DW706?
@m.d.d.3051 I have read reviews on the parts for the DW716 either on my website or on Etsy, or both, that say people have made it work. I don't know what modifications you have to make, but I would start here and see if it helps: inspirewoodcraft.com/products/zero-clearance-w-dust-collection-dewalt-dw716
@InspireWoodcraft Thank you for that info.
Buy a makita.. it allready comes with those impruvments ❤
@@doriandari The Makita is probably the second or third most requested saw that people want dust collection parts for. 😆
Mybe cause makita tools last for ever.. mine cames with it.. mybe is the model, i bough it in 2018.. i went for a dwalt when in the same store i saw the makita .. and my eyes shine 😊😅 but.. is good to have options for impruvments ❤❤
We really need a setup for the DeWalt DHS790 Flexvolt. Any chance you are considering making something for this model saw?
@SuperWingman69 I had someone on IG wonder the same thing. I make a Dust Collection Throat Plate for the 779/780 already, and am working on figuring out if it will fit the DHS. It looks like it might!
Buddy… can we get some content that’s not miter saw dust collection? Seems like you’re going all in on just that. In the good ol days you had some of the best woodworking content on TH-cam… what changed?
@@BaneBoy2424 The thing is, it takes money to make content. Especially in this niche. Not sure when the last time you bought lumber or hardware is, but they don’t give that stuff away! In order for me to make content, I have to have things that no one else is paying for me to have. I could get sponsorships from Nord VPN, Factor, Hello Fresh, Shopify and whatever the latest investment and video game app is, but I’m not really into all that. And interestingly enough, either is the audience. So investing into solving problems that everyone has, and is begging for solutions to, is a way for me to actually make money to sponsor myself. The flip side is that right now I’m so overloaded with dust collection stuff that it makes content hard to squeeze in. Double edged sword, I suppose.

@@InspireWoodcraft i agree, most times a small bag from hardware store is 50 bucks, wood is crazy. I believe wood dealers just want to keep covid prices...
Bosch GCM12SD next? Pretty please!
@EricRShelton inspirewoodcraft.com/products/bosch-gcm12sd-axial-glide-dust-collection-throat-plate
Did you also make a throat plate vacuum
@@glorygloryhallelujah Not in these saws. Typically speaking, if the boot behind the blade is designed correctly, vacuum assist is not needed because the boot comes down before the debris exits the throat plate. That meaning that when it does exit, it is thrown into the boot on its own. Sliding saws need vacuum assist because the boot comes forward of the back of the throat plate, so while debris is still forced out, there is no longer anything there to catch it. Hopefully that makes sense.
