@JamieHowitt i got the youtube downloader. This was before i could convert the videos i already had into usable files for editing. The rest of my videos (apart from one or tw others before) are video formed (i.e. They're moving images)

Why not just buy the DVDs and rip them to your PC like most people on here do?
