@@andyshereYes! It’s also owned by a black woman who has been in the makeup industry for a long time. No wonder formula is pigmented and looks good on dark skin. Juvia’s Place is hella underrated.
I think they both look good and suit your skin tone well. It would just depend what type of look you are going for. Obviously, one is a lot more bold than the other. The subtle one would be good for times when you want something but not much. The bolder for when you want it to absolutely pop.
I think I would prefer to have a more pigmented blush that can go a long way then a blush I have to build up to get it to show on my skin for a natural finish; like I would just use the tiniest bit of the Julia's place blush and blend it out for a more natural look. That tube would last forever
@@niknak9833the blush looked more subtle and suited her skin tone but this was more about pigment which Juvius has more pigment! The purples were damn near the same shade so
I like both, actually. The Rare beauty is giving like soft ruby red. But I love the pigment payoff of the Juvia’s, and it just wraps your cheek in a purpley-pink glow. They’re both just different products that work well on you.
Yeah they both look good. I think the Juvias place is a learning curve because it has more pigment and spread more. I would like to see a wear test with both of them.
For me, they’re both beautiful, but for different occasions. Juvia’s seems more high glam / done up - where you’d want a more obvious blush. Rare looks more natural and “my skin but better” vibes. Both are gorgeous and suit you wonderfully, just different occasions imo.
@@klarabarunovic9841Has to be because there’s no way a dark skin woman should HAVE to layer on CREAM blush that everyone raves is soooo pigmented but it looked like Vaseline and probably won’t last as long as juvias. I have the juvias and she stays on all dayyyy
i feel like obviously jp had more pigment, but the applicator swatched more product compared to rare beauty!! but still jp had the the right tone of pigment in your skin!!!
Both are gorgeous. It depends on your preference and what kind of makeup look you like. If you like buildable blush for natural makeup look, you go with rare beauty. If you want to glam look and fast, you go with ulta.
I use rare beauty (I’m white tho) and even on my skin, one dot is very light. I personally like it just cause I tend to do light makeup, but I do like that I can build it up. I think it’s just made with a “natural” look in mind
I like that rare beauty is buidable. And I prefer to have a natural flush anyway, that’s the purpose of makeup for *me*. I want it to seem like my skin.
Both look good, and juvia saves coin, but I like rare beauty. Maybe if you did a smaller dot with juvia to make it blend in more with your skin, I would not be able to choose lol - it would be chef’s kiss 👨🍳❤✨
Personally I like the Rare Beauty side better. Also, I had the same issue with a much paler, lilac-y pink blush from Juvia's place that I tried to test on my arm. I just used the tiniest blop, but the dang thing just would blend! It was so pigmented that I genuinely don't think I could use it without looking like a clown...
I own both and love both on you. That Juvia’s Place shade always looks overdone, then it fades to a more believable flush. The Rare Beauty blush is meant to be matte, while the Juvia’s Place is supposed to be dewy. I love plum blush💜💜
I appreciate your comment as it explained what was in my head. I have the Rare Beauty one but not JP (I didn't know they released one). I save my JP products when I am looking for more intense colors, so this makes sense.
I didnt understand why the juvias place was SO pigmented and hard to work with on my pale skin until I started watching dark skinned beauty youtubers use it and it made much more sense to me .. thank you for demonstrations like this
Both really look good on you, not gonna lie. The RB looks good in this instance cause your make up is soft. Add glam and the JP is a winner. But both look good on you.
You know ohema.. In our religion.. We have a goddess named kali(which means black) because her skin colour is black. She is the protector all the females and you know, when I first saw you.. You just looked like her.. And i was like "OMG maa(mother)kaali but she speaks english"You are soo beautiful.. Pls remember that you and you're skincolour will definitely be recognized, not because it is very rare.. But because it is closest resemblance to god..
I think Juvia's Place is really meant for highly pigmented skin. I have seen swatches with lighter skintones. Juvia ones are really highly pigmented and can be too much for lighter skintones. So I think if you have a deeper skintone, go for Juvia's Place.
Ghostly pale person here, and I can confirm that it is indeed crazy intense on pale people I tried the tiniest little blop of the palest color of those liquid blushes, and it was so crazy pigmented that I literally could not blend it enough to get it to a reasonable opacity, and eventually resorted to painting over it with a tester foundation that was also at the Ulta so I wouldn't have people asking what happened to my arm at work later...
Both are gorgeous on you! Just depends on what you are going for. For glam and intense looks, Juvia's Place and for natural looks, Rare Beauty. So pretty either way!
I agree I think that Junius place one can be good for the trendy blush vibe where it’s like a lot of blush so you look almost sun burnt/sun kissed depending on how far you take it and the rare beauty one is great for more of that blushing from within/softer vibe
Both are absolutely stunning on you, Ohemaa. I honestly would purchase both because one is for a natural look and the other more glam. Juvias Place is really key for WOC regarding pigment, and Rare Beauty is amazing for building. Simply stunning! 🥰
The rare beauty looks more orangy red, while the other one is more purple. I think the rare beauty one looks best for like a daily look as it’s a muted blush while I can imagine that the Juvias one looks great with a more outgoing look.
I love the rare for the sheer but huildable coverage I think Juvia knows there has to be more pigment for the darker ladies so that might be why it’s so BOOM but I love both they look great
personally both suit your skin tone but i think the Rare Beauty looks more natural and also gives you the perfect no makeup makeup look and a GLOW but both look amazing
I LOVE THE JUVIAS PLACE ONE!!! i have two diff shades and i literally use half a dot and sometimes it's too much. love the rare beauty one too but it's better for more subtle makeup
I like both. When I’m doing more glam looks I use the juvias place along with the rest of my cream products before all the powder products. When I’m doing a more natural look with dewy finish I like the rare beauty side
I like both but I really like the rare beauty cause it doesn’t compete with your gorgeous skin for attention, its just like lets make her look a lil more flawless ❤
i feel like juvia’s place definitely wins, only bc since it gives off so much pigment already, you can easily soften the pigment by applying it to your hand first, vs having to use more product by building up with the rarebeauty.
I think they're both gorgeous! juvias place is a bit more cool/blue while rare beauty is warm/red. juvias place could be good for winter or glam looks!!
they’re both really really pretty, but juvias place is probably a better bet for the money. you can always sheer it out a bit more by using even less (it’ll last longer too) or adding a little bit of something like moisturizer to make it less pigmented, but you still have the pigment when/if you want it.
I am too far deep in the rare beauty fandom, but I also like the Juvia’s Place blush. It’s on my list of blushes to get. It’s also crazy pigmented and travels FAR. Like a small swipe goes all over my arm.
I remember purple had its glory back in the 1980s, hopefully purple has a come back. I love purple eyeshadow and blush, really makes my hazel eyes more green looking.
Rare Beauty has been marketed with dotting it on your face. And it works for the product. But I think the juvias place blush needs to be applied old school style. A light dab on the back of hand, warm up with fingers or brush and then disperse and blend the colour into the skin. You can do that with any product but the JP deff needs to be gently diffused and built up on the skin.
I love rare beauty but the Juvias place is much more pigmented. I guess if you want something for a more natural make up then rare beauty works but if you want the color to pop then juvias. Honestly though you look beautiful in this shade either way ❤
I think it definitely depends on what you want for your final look. I prefer barely there blushes, so I would use rare beauty, but if you want a heave colour pay off I think the results speak for themselves
If theyre the same price (sorry im not well versed in makeup so I dont know anything about brand pricing 😅) then honestly I’d go with the one on the left since you need less product to get a strong effect. If you use a really small amount of product maybe it’ll look as subtle as the one on the right did at first!
2 different looks, the one gave you a nice glow, the other one was like pow in your face! Big blush. I’d like to see you take it into your eyelids for eyeshadow. And do like one of those high fashion moments where they have like the blush all over.
Seeing this makes me feel better about the Rare Beauty blush I impulse ordered last week! It looks gorgeous. The Juvia's Place one also looks great, just a lot more intense - proof that my pale face should stay far away from that brand.
I like them both. I like the julius flace for night time makeup or glam makeup and and rare beauty would be for daytime or to brighten up a more natural look. They're both beautiful. But also being cost concious I would by the Julius Flace one and just use less because it's more pigmented. Just use less.
I love the Rare one, the more neutral/warm tones compliment your skin tone amazingly. The Juvias looks a little cool toned, but still looks very beautiful on you. [Just judging on what I see on my screen, it could be wrong in person] :)
Rare beauty is better because it’s very subtle and not a huge pop of color just sitting in your skin. Personally I like cream blushes because they’re so buildable but I hate have they’re sticky sometimes
The Rare beauty looks perfect for a natural makeup, the other one looks good for a glam/ fancy makeup. Both are gorgeous!
I think the 10$ one was just more pigmented. If you use less or apply on your hand first, they would look the same
