This song is so beautiful and reminds of me so many amazing moments in my life with people that are long gone and still around wherever they may be. Hope y'all are gooT.😁
Such an innovative and interesting approach to describing what it feels like to fall in love--just a great song, and Ronald Jones' sonic contributions to the arrangement cannot be overstated. . .
Ronald can never be overstated. He added so much to the band. And, as sad as it was with him leaving, he made them become who they were meant to be by leaving.
@flaming lips one of the few alt rock bands of the 90s that still feels the same. thanks for not abandoning the way you sound. and thanks for still being around. all the best.
It's like I never had to see it in your eyes or feel it I could tell when you smile It's like I didn't need to say anything or do much I could tell when you smile All of the subatomic pieces come together And unfold themselves in a second Every single molecule is right When all of the subatomic pieces come together And unfold themselves in a second
The live shows of this era...with the Xmas light show...with Steven's "Bonhamesque" drumming and, Ronald Jones' unparalleled guitar treatments...game changers
I noticed in my life when I went to record stores fye tower etc. I was always drawn to album covers. Californiaction, clouds taste metallic and others I would just stare at these covers and later when I found out about those bands they were huge in my musical development. It is such a cosmic accident but its great
The arrogant (yet charming) intellectual elitist insider cheater-class thinks they are crafty enough that they can play god and schmuck the entire world . They got another thing coming ...

I’ve played this song to so many people over the years, I hope you all are still smiling and always will

An epic album, wonderfull song, perfect band! I miss this old Flaming Lips style of so much guitar noise!
My favorite Lips album
The noise from the old days was awesomeness!
The bestest most beautiful noise!
One of my favorite love songs from the Flaming Lips. Be My Head, Ashes in the Air and What is the Light are right up there, too.
Cheers!

all the best.
This is an old song - the video was put up in 2013 but this song was from 20+ years ago
M8 they sound REALLY different now.
@@rejectrealism Their sound has changed yes, but you can't deny that they're definitely still the same old band we've always known.
But they changed .. started with their song being sold old in the Batman movie ☹️ Still love them to death but rarely listen to the newer albums
It's like I never had to see it in your eyes or feel it
I could tell when you smile
It's like I didn't need to say anything or do much
I could tell when you smile

such a beauty of an album...
7 years of warmth and i wanna tell you thank you
Thank you
I miss Ronald Jones
I was just thinking that today before I read this message from 6 years ago lol
@@deadmandreams if it helps I think about it at least once a day. It's been going on for a long time now.
@@weekendwarrior6555 Sounds like we are on a similar wavelength!
Almost as if the lips really sold their soul when they ditched him .
Me too. Too bad Stephen had to get hooked on heroin - that’s what drove him away.
Astonishingly good!
come together and unfold themselves in a second......................................
Everytime i listen to this song all of the subatomic pieces come together and unfold themselves in a second :) .
beautiful song!..i love it, and i love the entire album too
Even before I went over to the piano I already knew this was in D major. Because it was just a happy song. (But I still checked anyway to make sure!)
I can't wait to see these guys at the X-Games in Austin - June 5-8, 2014.
Another great drummer in Steven Drozd!
looked forward to their later dreamy experiments on the soft bulletin album.
Awesome
Easy to love, Easy too hate. Too
カッコよ
I've been listening to this band tripping daisy recently and this sounds very similar.
Strawberry Cough Drops These guys reminded me of The Polyphonic Spree. So I totally get that.
Very true. And geographically they’re similar too. The Lips are from Oklahoma, Tripping Daisy were from Texas.
i'm in love with this song..
I like bands that sing about molecules and subatomic pieces in lyrically heavy but musically light-hearted ways
@Karl Morris quick check in on a couple of songs reminds me of the Dead Milkmen
the best part about this video is how Wayne strums his guitar at 1:23
I'd also love to see the Flaming Lips do an album with James Iha from the Smashing Pumpkins on guitar. A Heavy/distorted Lips comeback!
*When you smile!*
Best 4 piece ever
Sometimes you can just tell.
Blissful noise
Such a badass song!
1:35 and 2:17 used to always horrify me for some reason, now they are my fav parts!
💘💘💘 High volume recommended for best results, and one of the greatest, yet simplest, guitar solos ever made
How did i get here?
this music video makes me smile so hard
Summer in December this comment just made me smile
Wayne looks like Bret 'The Hitman' Hart in this.
Great tune, Great video !!
Yes!

I miss this FL line up...those were the days I discovered them and started to buy their albums...great band !!!
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Amazing!
We miss you Ronald Jones!

PERFECTION
Really dig the sped up live version off the 20 years the fearless freaks CD.
They are beauty

Holy shit Wayne is almost 60. We're old.
hayley williams made me drop here
does she talk about it in a video or something???
😁
:FFFF
I keep seeing these Alexa commercials with these lips singing songs. I think Amazon listened to The Flaming Lips
The arrogant (yet charming) intellectual elitist insider cheater-class thinks they are crafty enough that they can play god and schmuck the entire world .
