I really enjoyed this unboxing! Believe it or not, my order arrived *while* I was watching your video. I appreciated that your order was not super huge. I love the HON that you purchased - that design almost convinced me to try the HON this year, but I decided to stick with the A6 Original in English. I kept my order really small this year as well, after successfully containing some FOMO for the 5-year techo and Anane Anane cover (A6). I failed with a previous 5-year techo, so I couldn't justify buying another one. So my order was the techo, an A6 notebook in the Denali at Midnight design; two A6 and two A5 shitajikis (the Unsodo and Denali at Midnight designs), and the weekly supplement. I didn't buy a new cover from 1101, but I did buy a vintage Hobonichi cover from eBay - a tan leather one from 2011, in almost perfect condition. Oh! I got the same freebie notebook design as yours - and I'm also really happy with it. Anyway, thank you for the video! Happy 2025! :)

The box color is amazing.. I’ve been in my blue period for my entire life. Ha. I also picked up the alphabet stamps, but I found them on eBay w a set of numbers that are people. I fell in love w both at the pop up I went to. First time at a pop up. Love this unboxing!💙🩵💙 The tin box.. so cool.

Hi! It was so much fun to see your unboxing! I'm trying weeks for the first time this year, and I'm so excited. I actually bought two. I got the blue Star Dust and the one called Harvest Plaid. One will be my main planner, and the other one is more like trying out as a journal/memory keeper or just writing long form or something. I want to see if I like the format more than A6. I got the A6 too, the English planner. I really love tho Hon you got, but since I bought an expensive leather cover for my A6 last year, I feel like I need to stick with it so I can use the cover. I'm hoping to get the same notebook as you too, but I'm okay with any of them :) I love the orange box you got too, so cute! :)

I personally struggle with decorating my weekly spreads but I like mentioned I don’t use the actual memo sections 😩 that would probably help lol. Cheers to trying new things! This year I use a TN from Travelers Company, and I do love it, and the look of it, but I HATE that it's not able to lay flat. I'm struggling to decorate it too, but I really like the layout for the weeks, and feel it would be the perfect size for me. TN standard size is just a bit big, and I end up with a lot of blank space. My life is not that busy, so I don't need that much space to be honest. The cover I got last year is a Gillio Appunto, in gold and undyed. I really like it and are looking forward to use it for next year. Last year was first time trying a Hobonichi, so I'm late to the party, but this year is my first year buying directly from the store, so that's fun :)

I even bought three different covers, and sent two of them to Baum Kuchen for customization and everything. As of now I'm still just using one of them, which is a bit sad. But who know, maybe I'll be using it for something else than my planner :) I do love the system. I actually got my Hobonichi today, one day early, and I got the same notebook as you as well, the one I wanted :) I'm also surprised I like the pen so much, I regret not getting a refill, but I got three tho, so I'll be fine, haha! Seing the weeks in person I was like. SO TINY!!!!! My hand writing is big, so well se how this goes! 😅

I was able to fit my hon in my pocket comfortably, with the stroll case it fits as well… but not as comfortably lol. To be fair though I’m wearing my baggiest Uniqlo cargos. I tried just the hon with some track pants that have standard pockets and it also fits front and back pockets!! I can even close the zip on the back pocket!
@@saintvltn that’s good to know I’m going to try to make it work. I have an avec that I keep in my back pocket, but when I sit down it bends the book so I might move it to my front pocket. I really like having the planner at my disposal at all times so pocketability it’s important to me
@@tompov227 I feel you. I like to carry my weeks on me. When I wear shorts with a smaller inseam I have to adjust them before I sit down so my book doesn’t dig into my waist 😂. Maybe you can keep it in your back pocket but turn your pants into highwaters before you sit down 🤣

In the worst case tho I might use the Hon as like a journal page per day thing and I did buy an Avec in case I really can't find a comfortable place for the HON but its so cute and the bookmarks are also really nice so I hope it ends up working out. I wanna try to carry it around before the new year starts so I can get an idea.
