is it true that you can play these games on the more recent consoles? i saw someone do a video of tom clancy's rainbow six vegas 2 multiplayer footage and they said they playing on xbox one but it's a 2008 xbox360 game. i'm very tempted to get xbox as it always looks like there's more happening and more player's. i've got a ps3 and ps4 at the moment.

@@Jungle-Run not all, but many. Multiplayer still works for them too. I'll leave the link from xbox, if you want know which games are backwards compatible.

The backwards compatibility is a huge point for xbox. The gamepass includes many xbox classic and 360 titles. Or you can just buy them dirt cheap used, since xbox is not that popular compare to playstation. There is the possibility to install the dev.-software so you can even install emulators to play old console games like ps2/n64 etc.. However for that there is a high risk to geting banned.

@@karolku399 yeah thanks for that 👍 to to be fair i don't play alot of recent games on ps4 as it's always data heavy lol modern warfare 2019 had 100gb update before you could get in and then several short updates for multiplayer and campaign and i heard a friend saying that black ops cold war is the heaviest to update with up to 200gb ish which is bad as your there for ages downloading lol i think most newest games will be around 40gb for updates, i know rainbow seige was 69gb and then a more recent 5.5gb update, i'm just playing older games now lol

@@Jungle-Run Yeah me too. I play about 50/50 retro and new. There are still good new games, but they are becoming more rare, since it requires more time to create games like red dead 2. f. e. That's why backwards compatibility is a cool thing on xbox. Some call of duty games are backwars compatible too. Just not sure, if the online mode still works.

@gooznnnn A purely digital library has many advantages. Easy organized, saves money, saves space.

U never truly own anything digital though.
