When both my sisters were pregnant with my niece and nephew (they are 5 weeks apart) i was watching your videos and sending it to them. In one you mentioned how you felt that people would discredit your pain after birth and say how it was all worth it bc Darcy was born. You said how that made you feel bad for not feeling great. My nephew ended up in tbe NICU for a day. Everyone in my family when to see him, but i stayed with my sister. I told her I could see him later, but she had been through a bad experience and she was just as important. To this day she remembers how much that meant to her. It made her feel validated and like she was just as important as her baby. She is 25 weeks along with my second nephew and I plan to be by her side this time to. Thank you for opening my eyes to the way you can feel alone in a hospital bed.
@@Louisepentland I am not a mom, but I love your videos. I have 2 sisters who have kids that I am very close to. Yes! Came here to say the same. I’m stateside and - Louise - I know exactly what look you are going for. You are definitely pulling it off / making it work both with and without the jacket and the bag. So many options. Well done.
“A woman can never be overdressed or over educated” -Oscar Wilde. I also quoted this is my senior quote in high school 😂 also, I love the slaps of that blue dress!!! Looks amazing on you! 🤩
That floral dress with the coat looked like something to wear to a Buckingham Palace Garden Party! Loved both pieces. And I liked the pink long skirt as well, but perhaps with a tighter fitting top it would suit you better!
As a vintage lower I never go on sizes when buying online. Sizes have changed quite drastically over the decades, so I find it easier to just look at the waist, hip measurements etc :)
I haven't watched a Louise video in a while. Once I clicked it instant regret, I don't know what's wrong with me. How could I miss out on her awesome humor. I love you Louise and I actually missed you. Don't ever change, love the content!
As a petite person (5’ 2”) with an hourglass figure I struggle to find things not only length wise but that will also fit on the top and bottom if that makes sense because of my shape. I also hold onto things. You look fab Louise xx
Omg Louise, the dress with the dropped waist looks gorgeous on you! You should be confident wearing all shapes, you're stunning! I love that dress on you! X
"Then it went out of fashion, but I just dont care" 👏 thats what I say too! AND I will not be getting rid of my skinny jeans and side parting either!!!!
Omg I’ve bought loads of preloved clothes online and never had anything smelly, I didn’t realise how lucky I’d been 🤣xx I love your haul Louise, great escapism!
Louise you have such a good eye! All of these pieces are absolute finds and look so good! Also it's great to see a 2nd hand haul! Find it really hard to watch 'influencer' hauls these days where the clothes come covered in plastic and are from fast fashion places, so it was so nice to see you find such gorgeous pieces and give them a 2nd life in your wardrobe! Lovely x
Well done for promoting buying second hand it's so much better for the environment! :) You're gorgeous and always cheer me up when I watch your videos! xx
I do like the floral wildcard top! But yeah, when I buy vintage, I mostly go a size up because people were smaller before, I think... Maybe you could also try it unbuttoned over another top as a little cardigan number?
There's a good trick to getting stubborn smells out of clothes, and that's to hang them out on the washing line on a frosty night! Bring in the next morning and the smell is gone. This also works well for leather and most fabrics. Mind you this only works in the winter, so I'm thinking you could achieve the same effect by putting the item in the freezer for a couple of hours? Worth a try perhaps...
Vinted adds stalk me so it's nice to see a totally unbiased experience. Finding nice clothes for a bigger body sucks, lots of things are just cut wider rather than being properly scaled or are very dated designs. I have my carefully curated favourites that I care for and cherish and have stated making my own bits to fill the wardrobe gaps clothing manufacturers don't seem to want to service! Thanks for opening the conversation in such a level way.
Well that was an absolute joy to watch. So lovely to see how this worked out for you. I definitely feel that as a fuller figured woman , thrifting is off the cards for me. This has opened my eyes. I have to say Louise, each and every one of these outfits (barring maybe that last one which just wasn’t your vibe!) look absolutely stunning on you. I’m HERE for the etam brightly coloured top. Beaut. I think all brands should be held accountable for producing clothing that fits all bodies. Size is NOT a meaningful indicator of health. And even if it was, even “unhealthy” people deserve lovely clothing. I think you should be incredibly proud of your beautiful body, and the positive messages you share to others of all sizes and shapes. X
I love the pink skirt and brown belt look! I honestly think it looked fine without the jacket. And I do find the ASOS top super flattering! And agree, the spotty smocked dress is so nice and flattering!
Your ability to style these and make them amazing is beyond. I would not give a single one of those pieces a second glance in a store, but you made me LOVE some of them.
For years I have worn black and boring grey, beige because being big I wanted to sink onto the background and not be noticed. Since watching Louise over past few weeks I have started wearing colours and patterns and even florals and I feel more me, I have finally realised that you have to dress for yourself ❤️
If you get anything smelly or musty, I highly recommend a detergent with powdered hydrogen peroxide/oxyclean (same thing). Let the item soak in a bucket with a very generous amount of the powdered hydrogen peroxide/oxyclean for a day or two. Rinse in the wash and then run another cycle with the same detergent. Hang dry just to make sure nothing gets baked in, in case the smell isn't completely out yet ( it usually is). It's color safe and will get the most stubborn stains and smells out.
Thank you so much for making this video, I am plus size and it's great to see someone trying on plus size clothing to get style inspiration from and ideas on where to shop. Please make more of these types of video! x
Okay, the dresses were just spectacular. The pink/green/white (your favorite colors) was just gorgeous, and the jacket made it just so stylish! And then the lavender/green/white dress was so flattering once you added the belt! Great finds!
the denim jacket over the boho look was chefs kiss! Pulled it all together! Hanging it outside works I got a bag from a charity that smelt of damp and hung it out on a mild over cast day for 8 hours did the trick!
Oldie but goldie☺️I’m only 18, but I basically grew up watching your videos because they make me feel safe and cosy and you’re a role model for me as I get older!
I have loved getting back into your videos Louise! Not watched any since your sprinkle of glitter days. Your fashion, try on videos are my favourite and I’m all for preloved clothing! Please do more of these xxxx

Louise, thank you so much for showing us how great second-hand shopping can be! It’s so important for the environment that we try to buy more second-hand and it’s great to see people like you using your platform like this 🥰 thank you thank you!
You look gorgeous in all these outfits , the flower dress is my absolute favourite. I don’t think you realise how beautiful & how really funny you are 💗
The floral wrap top is giving off such Easter Sunday vibes. Especially with the pastel bag! So gorgeous 💜 imagine wearing the outfit for a Sunday dinner in a family pub with a little play area outside... If only xxxx
I really liked the white dress with the lavender flowers and the mint coat! Both were really pretty and make me wish spring would come faster! I also was a fan of the darker-colored kimono. I tend to stick to darker colors because I end up staining things so easily. As someone who has worn plus-sized clothes their entire life, I have noticed that it has been easier to acquire cuter items that are a better fit in the past few years, especially with brands like Torrid or even stores like Target expanding to get nice plus-sized brands/sections to shop from.
I really enjoyed this video. With the exception of the last dress, I loved every item you chose. I cant wait to see you wear that colorful vintage top with a skirt in the spring.
I really liked the flowy skirt denim jacket look! It’s the exact look I’d love to wear but I never feel confident enough! Really enjoying this video, thank you.
For the very colorful floral shirt, you could cut the shoulde pads out, maybe cut the arms off and pair it with a purple cardigan, purple skirt. It that doesn't work you could turn it into a headscarf or a pillow. I don't know if you have a sewing machine but it would be easy to do by hand too. You're great with handcrafts. 🌈
I love watching your videos, your personality is so care free and addicting! I remember watching you when I was 10/11 and I’m still watching you now at 18 because you’ve stayed true to yourself along the years💛
This was so fun! My favourite thing was the chichi dress, with or without a cardi. I don't watch "hauls" of new things, so it's lovely you've made something I can watch 😊
I'm loving how bright and summery the floral top is! Goes nicely with your accessories too... I'm currently trying to be brave enough to rock a chunky headband!! Great video :D
Oh my gosh the pink skirt with the white top and brown belt gave me little house on the prairie vibes, then the denim jacket made it look so great too!! Absolutely love a denim jacket staple but these all looked so great and made me excited for daffodils and spring mornings 💛💛💛
I’m obsessed with Vinted at the moment! A lot better for the environment and you get some great pieces for a fraction of the price. The flowery t shirt looks lovely! I love the print! X
I love seeing your plus size hauls! It's It's hard to find clothes that are flattering! So many brands just make clothes wider but not longer or of a normal shape! It's so tough to shop, but definitely agree things have got better over the years!
Thank you for bringing attention to the plus size issues. I keep all my clothes for that reason too. I think about the options I had in middle and high school and there were so few options. I feel like the late 2000's were the first years I felt I was able to find things in more common retail. I didn't have to go to a plus size boutique. Always love your content and thanks for the haul. 😊
You absolutely killed every single outfit, even the dropped-waist dress! I loved this video so much. I've been struggling with finding clothes that fit me lately and to see you rock your curves like nobody's business was so confidence-building even for me. So much love!
I am so glad you’ve made this video Louise! I study environmental sustainability and have had to turn away from many TH-camrs I once religiously watched as almost all of their content involves fast fashion hauls purely purchased for the sake of a video. I love watching videos where people have purchased with consideration and intent rather than a load of items they will then send back x
I am here for all the pastels and floral prints ! 😍 Also, I am always in a good ole kimono and I highly recommend incorporating more into your wardrobe! They are the move ! 🤩💕
The straps on the blue floral dress sit on your shoulders in a really nice place that make your shoulders and arms look absolutely lovely! Obviously you should wear the cardigan if it makes you more comfortable, but I really don't think you need it. Your styling is also impeccable!
Hi Louise, I just found you the other day!! I might be late to the party but what a good time I've been having - you are hilarious! I love your style. I am also plus size and make my own clothes rather than buy but you've inspired me to reconsider skirts. I always feel awkward and unflattering but you wear yours so well. To answer your convo at the end of the video about finding plus size clothes I totally agree with you. I started sewing 7 years ago because the choice out there for someone my size was so limited. I was a bit too familiar with the staff in Evans lol Anyway I started making my own clothes because of this very issue and I have to say it is EXACTLY THE SAME with sewing patterns. When I first sewed there was one company that sold patterns in my size. Now, of course, it is much better but like ready to wear there is still room to grow. Thank you for discussing this topic openly with your platform, you are an inspiration.
Louise I absolutely loved this video! I sell and buy bits and pieces on depop and sometimes still feel like second hand clothing isn't everyone's cup of tea, but not only is it great for the environment but also you can pick up some bargains! You have really made second hand clothing 100% more glamorous, you have chosen some gems! xoxo
Absolutely LOVED this video - fast fashion (and the hauls that come with it....) is such a massive issue, so it’s so nice to see some quality thrifting! I’d love to see another one at some point, maybe trying somewhere like eBay - I’ve found some absolute GEMS there this year, all my clothes are now secondhand!
I absolutely adore the first look with the lilac bag, it really suits you! I also kind of love the hideous/amazing floral shirt! Living for this video! Xx
Oldie but Goldie here! The chi chi London looks stunning without the cardigan (obviously also lovely with)! Definitely try outside your comfort zone because the hour glass and neckline is beautiful! xx
That flower top with a white skirt would be super cute! This video was so fun! I feel like I need to give online secondhand a go. I get so sad when I see so many people finding great vintage items in stores and there's never anything plus size.
Thank you so much for sharing your experiences with second hand fashion! I (almost) exclusively buy second hand and love a haul for inspiration! You look stunning in these outfits- especially loved the Lindy Bop skirt!!
You look beautiful Louise! Loved this video! And I agree with a lot of others on here; you need your own clothing brand. The collection you did back in the day was beautiful. Lots of love xx

That rose dress is SO YOU!! (And your upper meat sticks look amazing!)
Xx
I love the Etam top! The world needs all the colour! 😍
The floral blouse looks amazing with the jeans! More of a casual but catch the eye vibe ❤️
Honestly that blue dress looked great even with your arms out!!! Gave you such a lovely silhouette and had the cute arm band things
Oldie but goldie here! All of these outfits look so good and flattering on you! Hope you’re all doing well and staying safe and healthy!
It is so true what you say about the plus size clothes, the „hoarding“ the getting nice stuff etc
You look beautiful Louise! Loved this video! And I agree with a lot of others on here; you need your own clothing brand. The collection you did back in the day was beautiful. Lots of love xx
OLDIE BUT GOLDIE HERE! Love the soft pink skirt outfit with the belt and denim jacket 😍
