Great stuff. Got one for my unmodded XBox Original. Happy with it, to this day nothing beats playing OG Halo but great to be able to do it with my 20th anniversary controller
I can confirm that IGR (In Game Reset) works better with the Brook XB2 on soft modded consoles. Mine was working almost perfectly until I TSOP flashed my 1.4 with EvoX m8+ and now when I do an IGR to return the dash my Series X controller has a solid light but the Brook is flashing and not connected. However rather than remove the batteries you can just hold down the home button for 10 seconds to force turn it off. It then reconnects when you push the home again.
For controllers made for Xbox One/Series, I suggest if you're using a wireless controller to plug it into the Brook with a usb cable instead of just relying on the wireless bluetooth part to help with keeping them connected especially if Brook didn't fix the disconnecting problem yet.
SUPER IMPORTANT NOTE THAT YOU SHOULD PIN: in latest firmware Brook fixed "squarish" sticks behaviour, to have a normal sticks behaviour you should press "back + start + b" (and according buttons on dualshock or dualsense). After this your deadzones and sensetivity will be perfect as it should.
Had to return this because with the firmware it shipped with as well as the latest firmware, it kept randomly disconnecting from all the BT controllers I tried with it (XBox Series, XBox One, Dual Sense, 8BitDo). Apparently an earlier firmware was much more dependable but it’s no longer available. Better off sticking with my Logitech OG XBox wireless controller… feels spongy but has never lost connection.
I have a hard modded Crystal with Aladdin XT Plus2 chip and if the Brook is already plugged in to the game controller port before powering on then it boots into the Xblast OS menu. I must first boot into my modded UnleashX dashboard, then connect the Brook. It is like the modchip thinks the Eject button is being pressed when in Standby. I have not troubleshooted or updated the Brook firmware yet.
@@rightspritegaming Just discovered that it does this also with a USB flash drive connected so its not Brook specific. I think I will reflash with a later EvoX M8+ bios.
Tested the Brook on my two revision 1.4 Softmodded Xbox’s and the Brook works very well: 1. Brook is recognised when powering on from Standby 2. It still functions when performing an IGR (In-game reset). It is XBlast OS that is causing the conflict with the Brook /flash drives. Also on Etsy there are some Xbox mod sellers that are selling controller port to USB female adapters that just plug into the port and do not have a long wire. Not only do they look neater but there are reports that they eliminate any disconnects. Have not verified this personally though. They cost only £5 each but £20 shipping from US.
You did not mention the vibration feature ! Does it work well with all the controllers ? I find it crazy that the manufacturer does not even mention it on their website
can u use wired controllers or do they have to be wireless i wanted to get the new xbox one duke controller and plug it in the wingman usb on the og xbox
Im totally getting this wow especially for less than 50 euro what a bargain. How many controllers can you have connected to the dongle say if i wanted 2 xbox controllers on ps3 will i need 2 dongle's
Hi ! i don't understand in your vidéo, why you update the key with xbox one firmware to use with an OG xbox ? and on the brook's download page, nothing about OG xbox update ... curious ?
@@rightspritegaming can just the USB to Xbox wire be use to just plug a USB arcade fighter stick into it without the XB2? Im trying to make a arcade with my xbox but need away to hook 4 arcade sticks to it lol

That paperclip reset step on the PS5 controller is completely optional

I found this around over 2 Years out. But its nice, that you made a Video😉. How it Looks Like Inputlag?
Thanks , I don't notice any input lag personally but I do notice connection drop out here and there , making me reconnect the controller

That sounds like a unique case , it's always better update and forward problem to brook themselves.

@@opsgaming779If you’re still wondering, the answer is yes. But you’d need a cheap OG Xbox-to-USB adapter cable for each port.
How many controllers at the same time?
This would be great info to have
1 adaptor per controller
@@freeziekat he also did not talk about the vibration feature, we will have to assume that it works fine ?
