Opened in 2015, it was formed by the merger of two legendary Manchester-based arts organisations, Cornerhouse and the Library Theatre Company.

A far cry from its origins as the Gaythorn Gas Works, First Street has emerged as one of Manchester’s most vibrant neighbourhoods. Number One First Street was the spark for what is now a well-established blend of culture, leisure, retail and office space. And more than 10 years on, opportunities still arise. With bold plans for the future, this ever-evolving address will be home to even more quality workspaces, as well as brand new apartments for everyone to enjoy.
