    Thank u very much! I am learning to run and so learning what shoes suit. I am focusing on road running. Completely agree, I struggle w injury due to pounding the tarmac. Carbon shoes don't help! I am now looking at the softer options OR use what I have (rebook floatride 4 and novablast 3) and add a sole like this. You have sold me the sole!! Thanks

    Very interesting, probably I will try out. My Salomon S/Lab Sense 7 came without insole (this is how they sell) and I was putting insoles in it from other shoes but its still very firm as its a shorter racer lightweight trailrunner shoe. So in this case Enertor shoud help.
    BUT what about more cushioned shoes? Obviously in a softer shoe you dont want to put it as its gonna make it even softer, and as we know running on grass is comfy but slower.

    Interesting video for me. I'm a big Hoka fan, SGs and Rincon 2 but have always used the Superfeet carbon or blue insoles for years without issue but lately my feet just are not getting on with them. I will try a pair of these.
    BTW, you and I chatted about the Goodwood Marathon when we were climbing Old Winchester Hill at SDW100. (I DNF'd at Houghton Farm with bad hip pain)

      @@fidelbanuelos9601 They are fine but IMO not as good as the Inov8 Boomerang insoles, they are fantastic. One thing I found with the Enertors is that they are very slippery when new, i found my feet sliding a bit.

    Out of interest, have u used other soles? Like Dr scholl or the superfeet? Would be gr8 to see a comparison

  • @markcameron3

    Is there such a thing as too much cushioning, for example add those insoles to cushioned Hokas? What would be better, cushioned soles or insoles?

    What's the thickness of these at the forefoot? I'm looking for some extra cushioning to help with injury recovery but I'm worried they might be too thin. Thanks

    • @FilmMyRun
      @FilmMyRun  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Neil, I mean they aren’t fat. But they are thicker than most insoles and they are specifically designed to reduce the risk of injury. They can’t be too thick out they won’t fit in your shoes!

    Just as a note. Making playground slides and so on from old insoles isn’t called recycling ;) This is known as downcyceling. To recycle something means to put something back in to a cycle and not just make something different out of it. A question to ask this company would be: “what happens after the playground slide to the material?”

    Quick question for you. How did you find the width fitting of the insole in a Hoka shoe? Received mine yesterday and I am finding that they are a bit wide to the rear so they are bulking up in this area making it pretty uncomfortable. Haven't cut them down in width only length to scared. The shoes I am m trying are the Clifton 7 and Mach 4. Good to know your experience. Thanks

    • @FilmMyRun
      @FilmMyRun  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think if your shoes are fairly snug initially then putting the Enertors in will likely make the fit pretty tight. I have had e in Clifton 7s and they were fine but I always buy a size up. But yes the Enertors are definitely thicker than your average insoles

    • @kieronturner2667
      @kieronturner2667 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@FilmMyRun Thanks for the reply. I think its just the width I may struggle with, maybe I will give it a little trim as I really want to give them a go. Cheers for the video by the way it was a good watch.

    Come off it. Where are the out-takes? They look like amazing insoles, but equally impressive if you played on a patio with a box of eggs without messing it up once.
