I just stumbled across your review and found it extremely helpful. We are transitioning to Foundations D after our Christmas break. I'm both very excited and a little intimidated by it. I'm sure we will get into our rhythm over time. You had mentioned you were not going to continue on to Essentials and would be discussing what you use in a follow up video. I would love to hear what led you to that decision and what you followed up with after Foundations D.
Could you tell me what you are storing your phonics cards in? Or if you discuss it in another video, could you send me in the right direction? It looks like a perfect fit!
It may not keep their attention in all aspects of a lesson, if they are an advanced reader to start, IMO. There are other great elements to the program like grammar, spelling etc. though.
Thanks for your review of this level. LOE seems extremely comprehensive. I'm curious as to why your feet it didn't work with your other two children. Are they less visual or kinesthetic learners? Was this too intensive for them? I'm only homeschooling two children and am really leaning towards this program. Cheers!
I'm wondering too, it looks very, very labor intensive. Goodness, I love Sing, Spell, Read & Write because it works with every learning style BUT it does not teach all these rules. Fun songs and lots of fun games as well. Once kids get to a certain level, I like SHURLEY ENGLISH for the writing component. SSR&W has been my go to for 35 years, though.
@@MrsCalabresesTeachingChannel Hi there! It's been over a year since I left that comment 😄 and my kiddos are thriving with LOE! I'm glad I watched a ton of review videos to help make the decision easier. Reading Denise Eide's book Uncovering the Logic of English solidified it. My oldest is now nearing Level D Foundations and is reading independently rather steadily!

Alina Millard I may have showed it in another LOE video but here is a link to it:

Hope this helps!
Thank you so much for the review! Did you also have a review for Logic of English Foundations level C?
Do you have review of level C?
Great detailed review. Any reason why you are choosing not to go into Essentials? Thank you.
At the time, essentials seemed too rule based to continue on so we went with another LA program.
Ma'am please workbook page by page flip through
What ages is Foundations for? My daughter is 8, but has dyslexia and is behind in reading/writing. Would I do Foundations or Essentials with her?
Hi! Would you recommend this program for an advanced reader?

@@annelogged Glad to read that your kids are doing well! It's empowering to know the real details of English I'm sure. Much Success!
Is the program done after D or is there more for higher grades?
They then go onto essentials by logic of English
These books came in the package
I know it varies from lesson to lesson, but how much time would you say it takes to get through one lesson?
By this level, level D, it was taking us about 25 mins maybe 35 if we played the review games and other game suggestions.
