Happy Christmas brothers and sisters!!! May God bless all born again believers this Christmas 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 Galatians 6:10 - As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
Without going into too much detail here, tracing the origin of XMAS, it goes back to the sign in the sky that Constantine saw, the Chi-Rho symbol of Christ. The first two Greek letters for the name of Christ are the X and P, and it is called the Chi-Rho. As the years went on it got shortened to just the X called the Chi, and it was called the “Christ-Cross”, and that’s where we get XMAS from. “X”MAS isn’t “crossing out” Christ, it’s actually the Greek letter that stood for Christ, the Chi. I wasn’t a fan of seeing XMAS until I understood the origin and what it really means. I still say and use the term Christmas though 😇
The winter solstice is the shortest day of the year. During this time, the Sun halts its southward movement in the area of the Southern Crux or Cross constellation, where it appears to hold still for 3 days, then begin its ascent northward again. Thus, the Sun dies on the Cross, rests for 3 days, then rises again! The name Christ Jesus or JeZeus was derived from Hindu god Krishna and Greek god Zeus. It's all pagan.
Yes, there’s just something special about spending a day meditating on the true Christmas story from the Bible. My dad isn’t a Christian, but every year he tunes into a recorded Christmas service from a church in England (I believe) and they also play ancient Christmas hymns that are just beautiful. 🥹
