25,000 people attended the first ever AFL match at Ikon Park. Then the Taxpayer donated $70 Million to the Venue. The Capacity amazingly went from 25k to 12.5k. This reduction means thousands of people will miss out on attending the GF.
Maybe the AFL should demand the Taxpayer builds a roofed stadium that holds 23,000 like they have done in Tasmania. Sadly Ikon's Park reduced capacity of 12k from 25 is going to mean that 13,000 people will miss the Grand Final.
If the AFL was serious about the AFLW the Grand Final they would be playing it at Marvel Stadium. Instead, it's being played at a venue that only holds 12.5k.
The playing of the AFLW GF at a venue that only holds 12,500 is further proof that the AFL does not care about women's Football. AFLW players deserve equal pay, a full-length season and to be played at AFL Venues like Marvel Stadium.

Episodes like this make it apparent how much the AFL media landscape is held back by filming and producing every show in Melbourne.
