The Luo language of Kenya is somehow different from that of Uganda. I heard it during my days `in Nairobi, Kenya when life was very hard in this country under the corrupt leadership of Daniel Moi and President Kibaki respectively. If I hear it today, it refreshes my memory of the dark and ugly days I faced in Kenya though it is now a mere history. Thanks to the composer...
I have been searching for this song for over ten years I heard it long time ago and it sang in my memories all the time.. though I don't get the message I just love it .
Madi bi konya loo(loyo) lweny, Yesu Lwanda (Please come help me win the battle, Jesus the Rock) Wasigu malawa odino na, e wang' yore (Enemies coming after me, are blocking my paths) The song is Luo. Full of powerful messages.
This song reminds me of my mother Naomi Apondi Were. She loved this song... One of the only memories I have of her... May she continue resting in peace
Have searched this song today after listening to carols David s song... This song was being played in my mum's funeral in 1996😢😢😢 in lucky summer everyday I will never forget 😢😢😢 continue resting mum I still love you 😘😘 minwa
So powerful indeed. I used to attend Crusades ST Ekwanda market where they used to come at least once a year. The last time they came I remember the preacher talking of a great vision for the market, then we only had one retail with some old buildings. You prophesied for prosperity and indeed it is seen. How I wished you organised for one in recent years
#Finally..this song reminds me of far years behind when it was the popular gospel song being played specifically on Burials/Funerals in our village.
Whenever I miss my mum I listen to this song, she loved to sing it
