Caroline Omwaya aka nyar kanan,Sammy Odoyo lead guitarist,Bwana rhythm, and Mzee Amigo kwa base not forget Labaan solo...God bless Power Of Jesus Around The World Church..Sammy left and doing his best elsewhere. The sad part of it is that Mzee Amigo (base) and Bwana ja rhythm passed away and joined eternal life. Labaan is the only one remaining amongst the guitarists. On the other side of singers,Mark Opudo left then followed by Nyarkanaan. Happy to see mama Verah and Nyarmigori still gracing the chair to date
This is another refreshing tune of the year, Alfred Oloo, I mean "The Power Of Jesus Christ Around The World." I first heard the tune as well in 1997 during my first visit to Nairobi, Kenya from Uganda while trying to unearth the secrets of how to land safely in America. It was in Uthiru-a Nairobi suburb that I settled down on arrival in May of that very year. I even tried my ways but things did not work out well because Kenya was already rotting up in the deep pit of corruption and selfish motives in all aspects of life. However, I learned many big lessons from the visit and when I came back for the second and last time in 2000 A.D., I was fully prepared to face the wrath of the city. I am now enjoying the tune from the comfort of my home in the vicinity of the Prairies region of North America here today. May the Omnipotent God of love, mercy, and happiness protect Kenyans from corrupt and useless leaders at this time of the year...
The song reminds me of my late younger brother David Omondi Odera from Kamagambo 2oo4,when my father used to this songs of nyakanam I just feel delightful and think about my brother, may his soul keeps on resting in eternal peace.
