How PRP is made

How PRP is made @ Madras Joint Replacement Center MJRC. Platelet-rich Plasma (PRP) is prepared by drawing venous blood at the cubital fossa of the arm and centrifuging it in a proprietary syringe. The PRP obtained at the end of this peocess is low in white blood cells and red blood cells while the platelets are concentrated 5 times in each ml. This is inferred from the amber color of the PRP. Therefore, this PRP doesn't cause any inflammation. It is anti inflammatory and acts as biological stimulant to promote healing & repair of knee joint cartilage.
