Cape Town baboon troop faces unmonitored future

  • A baboon troop that has moved outside the management area of the City of Cape Town's programme, might soon be left unmonitored.
    For the last year, the group was monitored by seven men who are paid by NGOs to do the work.
    With funding running out, activists are concerned that the baboon monitors will lose their income and that the animals could be in serious danger.
    The troop has moved closer to a very busy and popular tourist hotspot near Hout Bay in Cape Town...

    One demonstration and two strikes at the same time. One striking for baboons lives and services in their community whilst the others strike for employment. Goes to show we can always complement one another's struggles regardless if you are fighting for the same thing or not
