Thanks! Be ready for the extra weight and higher wing loading. The Stinger 90 is the lightest 90mm and is very forgiving. Mike and I love the F5 for the warm up. We think it flys very similar to the F16 but is more forgiving.

im going to buy one of these, my buddy bought one and he even put speakers with a recording that sounds like a jet engine and goes louder as you increase throttle to give it that realism,

which was the weight of your battery? i have a 6s admiral carbon 5100 70C it is heavy and maybe is the same weight of your. i want to find the right position. thanks
Captain Mike looks like an old school cop with that stache. Add the hat and he looks like every rendition of a police sketch artists drawing of "the bad guy". Then I thought I heard a bit of an accent. I kind of had an ah ha moment. The stache, the hat, the accent, he's Canadian!

Thats hilarious, you should see him shove his planes in the back of a Aztek. It will go in one piece, and come out is several pieces. He has the worlds biggest collection of pitot tubes.

Nice aircraft well flown. I thought the T6NL warning was cool even though it comes from BAe. There is a cockpit YT vid out there in TY land of a Canadian Mk 115 Hawk crash following a bird ingestion and you can clearly hear the T6NL advisory as the engine fails...And yeah, I have 16 years maintaining Hawks...
which battery are you using? with the normal admiral 5000 50C you have to put the battery a little bit more near the front. i think you are using an heavy and bigger one and that the reason you found that position. for example now i bought the carbon admiral 5100 70C and they are heavier 100gr so i put them in the position you put your battery.. please let me know about the battery used in this video. thanks
stupid question, since im a newer pilot, how do you keep that shallow turn angle but still youre able to keep the turn somewhat tight? is that adding just a little rudder or alot?
A little rudder goes a long way in a jet at speed

What percentage do you have the flap settings? My takeoff flaps are at 50% and landing at 90%, how ever it seems the plane wants to stall with full flaps. I have the Thunderbird version and use Spektrum Dx8e transmitter

Any comments on grass landings? Is the nose gear up to it, or do they bend after a while?
GEar is always down when landing or you'll destroy the ordnance and little peripherals
@@MotionRC So you're saying the NOSEGEAR is NOT UP TO IT! You can do better than that. I was hoping the forward raked angle would help with grass landings but the smallish nosewheel takes away that advantage apparently. The mains look very solid. But the nosewheel appears to be an Oleo, not a trailing link. The oleo nosewheel is in keeping with the real thing, scale quality. But that doesn't help with the majority of us that fly off grass. I want to give it a go, but without some clear solid grass landing endorsements, I'll pass.
@@hifinsword Sorry, I read your comment wrong. Thought you meant you wanted to land with the gear up (belly land). The gear on this 90mm F-16 is as robust as any 90mm Freewing model. All of them are made with the grass pilot in mind (hence the larger than scale wheels). You will have no problem on most decent manicured grass runways. Plenty of videos out there, just search Freewing F-16 Grass and you'll find them

Before the name Falcon was given to the F-16 it was already in military service. The military gave it the name Viper.

Just received the Freewing T-Bird F-16C from Motion RC and can't wait to get into it. My girlfriend said I have to wait till my birthday (59) in two weeks to open it. Drooling of course looking at that packed cardboard box. I am going with the upgrade inrunner motor, UBEC, ESC, JP electric 60mm wheel brakes, Mr. RC Sound and AS3X Rx with the DX8 Tx. I will utilize the information that you provided for the flaperon set up. My winter project and will paint the landing gear and wheels white with a chrome painted tail cone. Have flown other EDF's such as the Super A-10 which flies great and can be seen at Mrtcoltpilot here on utube. Any extra comments will be greatly appreciated. US Navy Retired Cheers

Ordered the 8s upgrade in-runner motor and fan yesterday along with the UBEC. The 150amp ESC OPTO has been back ordered. Birthday November, Friday the 13th, then the transformation begins. I will be bringing it to the Toledo Show with my mods.

Is it true you can only fly for around 3 min.'s at a time?
Depends on how you fly them. Throttle management can extend flight times. But 3-5 minutes in a jet is exhilarating. When i started with jets I had 1/2 and like 1 battery for each. I would do those 2 flights, get the batteries on charge and relax with a warbird or high wing cub, and then the jets batteries would be good to go for the next round

Not once your confident in your flight skills. But I wouldn't start the hobby with an EDF Jet as your first experience. A trainer plane is highly recommended

Hi John, our take-off flaps are down, slightly shy of half flap. Check the manual for down flap measurement and set just above half flap. I didn't like full flap for landings so I set mine around 19mm. Every plane's servos and radio are different so you'll have to experiment a little to iron out what works best for you.

The landing gear operation isn’t very realistic. The nose wheel actually turns and becomes parallel with the fuselage of the jet.
Looked like they were trying to simulate the elephant walk.
